I am 28 yrs old and don't feel like waiting much longer. I am in marriage mode. I like to think that I would know the right man and the right time because God will clue me in. I do have some fears and issues though.

The number one thing that keeps me from getting married is the idea of settling down with someone. Like meeting a woman who goes into child-deployment mode. I don't want to be stuck with a woman who wants to throw out the anchor and push out babies.

I want to travel with someone for like a year. I want to go on missions trips. I want to live like a married missionary version of James Bond.

My second reason for not getting married is that I haven't developed the habits that a good strong Christian should have before he cements himself to another person.

My Third reason, is a fleeting one but, I'm a pretty poor dude. I know that is going to change but at the same time it is kind of a dating deterrent. Not that when I date I even really date in the first place.
I...wait, what?

I'm allergic to gold (leaves what look like burn marks on my skin if I wear it for more than a few hours at a time). :( But I'm not allergic to SHOES :)

I'm still trying to figure out what it is with women and shoes. I'm leaning towards something freudian, but Im not too sure.

Pearls are incredibly old person esque.

I'm not really a fan of Gold either. Feels like 80's and chest hair.

I'm definitely more of a Chrome, Silver, Carbon Ceramic Composite, Polished Aluminum, Titanium and Platinum kind of person.

I have some gold pieces of jewelry that were my mom’s and grandmother’s that mean a great deal to me, but I can only wear them for a few hours at a time. Most of my jewelry is silver. They do make some really cool titanium pieces for guys.

*sigh* You had me at "I...wait, what?" I was going to ask you to marry me, but I could never marry a guy who didn't understand the importance of shoeness.

I guess djness is right...back to work on the perfect man project.

I have a feeling its much deeper than that. I'm thinking there is some psychological connection between the aesthetics of fashionable footwear and a woman's sense of attractiveness, seductiveness or charm. Hmmmm.

Maybe we think that feet are the ugliest part of the body so we want something pretty to cover them up. :)

Maybe it's a Cinderella's slipper complex.

And maybe it's just me, but trading my jeans and sneakers for a dress and heels is a way of putting aside the me I have to be when I'm working for the feminine me that I'd like to show more often than some circumstances will allow.

Oh? Well, I love shoes. Shoes are the best thing ever invented. Shoes rock... (back in your good graces, yet?) Shoes are what life is all about....

But remember that more often than not, guys would prefer the jeans/sneakers you over the heels you...at least guys who think like me do.
