The best thing about seeing who you are speaking to is it gives you the reminder this is a real person on the world wide web and we should speak to them as we would in person. To see their face, the eyes, the expressions is often the key to understanding their soul. Someone who pretends to be fine but their eyes scream I'm exuasted, I'm in pain, I'm lonely, I'm scared, or I just need someone to listen.

That is so true. People dont usually say to someone "that comment that you made hurt my feelings" or whatever, so sometimes you dont know that you may have hurt someone. And i think the general sentiment is that, oh we are all here to give our opinions, you dont like it, thats your business haha.
But if you think about it really, there are just somethings that we wouldnt say in person and so we do need to try not to say it on the internet cause we never know what the other person is going through.
I think perhaps we need to contact eachother by PM and say lets talk about it over here cause things are getting too heated in the thread. Or maybe we can say, dear sister or brother you dont seem like your usual self to day, your comment was really rude, are you OK? Yah you never know

On the dating sites, its the ones with the attractive photo who everyone wants to contact. They dont contact the person because of their personality. The few very attractive persons cant date everyone now can they? Who knows the surprise that awaits someone, when they take an interest in the ones without photos, just focus on what they say about themself, and how you feel when chatting with them. And i think down the road when the person reveals themself, they may or may not be all that you hoped for, but because you already love their personality, oh well too late now.
I hear you . . . but here's the honest problem: If we don't find our future spouse to be sexually attractive, it's going to put a MASSIVE strain on the relationship . . . especially for a man . . . you know, because . . . well, you know.
That is what happened with Tourist and I. We chatted on CC for a long time and he did at some point put a few pictures up of himself but it was after I had already fallen for him.

Well, me being 40 years old, it always makes me feel significantly better to be significantly younger than someone else. At this significantly weird time of my life when it seems that most people I encounter are in their early 20s. I wonder if the 20 somethings I always encounter think me being significantly older than them is something quite significantly good? I dont know.
On the matter you mentioned, if such is the case with men, then they will never be content. Best us women avoid marriage.

I think we are all too hung up on the attraction thing.
I myself have not been attracted to someone but later down the line have felt attracted to them because of their personality.
Many people whom the world has considered attractive, have been cheated on by their spouses so it cannot be just a persons looks that causes their spouse to stay. There has to be more to them.
