Somebody doesn't want the subject discussed, but before he finds out, does anyone want to slip the memo on what "hyper grace" is? I've never even heard the expression before.

I think it’s basically the idea that the word “grace “ is salvation rather than what Jesus said salvstion is. The idea that grace erases everything that Jesus said is meant to be believed for salvation

that’s only my own idea of what it means though we all seem to have slightly different ideas of what every word means

Hypergrace is essentially once saved always saved on steroids. Even if we sin God doesn't see it. If we're under "grace," God sees us as Jesus, free from sin, even if we don't acknowledge our sin. In fact, there's no need to even try to live a holy life. It takes away all personal responsibility for sin. The video below is very good.

This is a great topic, worthy of discussion. I hope it doesn't get closed or removed.

Thanks for the clarification.

HG seems to fly in the face of Christ's example in the Lord's Prayer: "forgive us our trespasses."

2 Corinthians 3:18 says: "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Hypergrace teaches that we are already made into His image when we say the sinner's prayer. This is akin to the teaching of the "great exchange" which basically says the same thing.

1 John 3:2 says: "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."

And 1 Corinthians 13:12: "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."

We are not now "little Christs." This is a huge misconception. We are, with the Holy Spirit's help, being made into the likeness of Christ; but we won't be completely transformed until we have put on immortality.

It's a newish term for those who believe we have a 'licence to sin'.

Which is wrong. See Romans 6:1 & 6:15
It's a bit like OSAS on steroids.

I had never heard of it either, before I first visited this site a few years ago.

I thing one component is that you never repent.
The reason they say is that all your sins are forgiven in advance.

Then they oppose any notion that we walk out and work out salvation.
You Just get saved and slide into the kingdom.

Hyper grace is a slippery slope because if you er, it is best to er in the realm of love and grace.

And so their error is error by emphasis.

I disagree with the level of paranoia over hypergrace.

Bring correction. But banning people like they did "Grace777" hurt the board in my opinion.

I liked him more than anyone here.

Wow. You just described . . . exactly . . . my old belief system. In fact, it was this form of grace that allowed me to bypass ALL scripture that dealt with submission, obedience, and sharing the Gospel (which is good that I didn't really do it, because I was clueless) . . . and like you said, that form of Grace allowed me to be a hardcore alcoholic, strip-clubber, porn-addicted, sailor-swearing and overall piece of crap citizen. Yet incredibly, I taught and believed that . . . "Nothing can separate me from the Love of God! I'm Eternally Saved regardless of what I do, say, or think!"

While on my continual hunt for additional women to "engage" with, and when the matter of Christianity would arise and they'd ask if I believe in sex before marriage, I taught them that even though it was sin, Christ died and paid for those sins. Incredibly, many "christian" women fell to my former sexual prowess. Unbelievable. I was truly one sick dude.

I'm happy for you. Thanks to the Lord for opening your eyes!

It's like the HG teachers in the video say: When we sin it's not us, it's the flesh. So a person can sin all they want and simply confess, "I'm not a sinner, my flesh is."

But you may ask yourself: Why would this doctrine be introduced in the first place; and what is its attraction? In my own personal opinion there's one main reason: $$$.

Think about it: If I'm the leader of a church, and I want as many tithers (and potential consumers of books and other material) in the seats as possible, how do I get them in the church? A very simple and attractive way is to tell people their sin doesn't matter. In fact, a person can sin all they want and remain a member in good standing.

But is this God's design for the body? Not really:

"Therefore 'put away from yourselves the evil person.' "—1 Corinthians 5:13

no I think you probably didn’t read the forum rules regarding hyper grace preachers I don’t think it regards a discussion but what the forum rules have to say
