The people (and their property) in the temple didnt belong there. Maybe learn how to act in the temple of God, and show some reverence and you won't get whipped.
To be consistent with scripture the whip would have only been for the animals.

"A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out."

Today, there is no temple of God made with hands. However, Jesus' response to depravity in the old temple gives us insight into His position now when men take advantage of others.

"It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones."

Prince of Peace is a title that literally means "One who overthrows the establishment of chaos". Peace is a term of art intimately connected to war. It is not the absence of war, it is the eradication of the enemy's ability to make war with you. However violent that sounds, the Lord has never instructed one of His to strike another person or to kill another person. Men, however, will live and die by the sword they use to assert their dominance. Men will curse themselves by using the ways of the world to establish their own hegemony.

Tman,

I found a pdf file on the internet that explains the context and more of what Jesus son of GOD did in the temple. I have attached the file hoping it will be useful.

Peace, JF.

Maybe not in the flesh, but that's because Jesus for the most part, the man Jesus wasn't appointed to temporal power. The one time he was appointed as a judge, he ordered an execution if there were qualified witnesses to carry it out. But you know, Jesus is the same God that told the Israelites to eradicate the inhabitants of Canaan.
Men, however, will live and die by the sword they use to assert their dominance. Men will curse themselves by using the ways of the world to establish their own hegemony.
I don't know what you mean by "ways of the world" but, if you're saying that civil government isn't legitimately appointed by God to the ministry of the sword, I would kindly ask you to support that with scripture.

And now "God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation."

The OP was headed down a path that advocated anarchy and lawlessness. This was my first volley to correct the descent.

He's banned now so the matter is moot.

Jesus was without sin, he was God, He convicted the money changes; its not about the others in the crowd, its about Jesus actions

That's what we are discussing
He was merely carrying out the law, He was acting according to the Old testament as is shown by His question to them about John the Baptist ....

Jesus will always do what is right. To question His morals is a strange thing to do.
