If you live in the state of Washington I'd love to come to your church and have a sit-down chat face to face. I'd be interested to see if you have the same energy.

May God bless you with trials. (James 1:2-4)

Can generational curses or generational/family spiritual oppression affect Christians
Not according to Scripture. Romans 8:1,2 says There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

When people are born again they become new creatures in Christ and are set free from their past. Also no one is held accountable for the sins of others.

Can generational curses or generational/family spiritual oppression affect Christians, even if they themselves have not intentionally opened those doors?

Yes, the oppression of family members can and does bother the Christian we hurt when our family is hurting. James chapter 1. But the devil will attack us but that is his nature has nothing to do with the generational curse. Job was attacked Jesus said the devil was a murderer from the beginning.

If so, what can/should the Christians do to free themselves from the influence of generational curses/spiritual oppression? (behaviors, prayers, etc.)

Christians personally do not have generational Curse because God said in His word HE would not hold it to those who are righteous the past sins of their fathers. Jesus comes and makes all things new.

For A Christian to have a generational curse means Jesus' power of the Cross is not absolute. That is unbiblical. "IT is finished " John 19:30. the payment of all sin was completed. All past, present, and future sin to those who place tier faith in the Lord Jesus CHrist.

I wonder if there is a difference in Gods dealings with curses between the Old Testament and New Testament?

I believe eternal salvation to be the same way in both testaments..with those who looked forward to Jesus coming, putting faith in Him in the OT and then with Jesus coming , looking at what He has done, but there was a big difference in going from mosaic and levitical laws to New Testament church service.

Curses are very much in line with "an eye for an eye" and belong in the OT. In the NT, things are different. My opinion.

Under the Old Covenant there were both blessings and curses -- blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. And the curses are all spelled out.

However, when Christ was nailed to the cross He became accursed on behalf of all mankind. He was literally made SIN for us, and the OT said that cursed was everyone who was hung on a tree.

Now when a sinner believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, the blood of Christ is applied to his or her soul. Therefore the curse is removed. Just like the blood of a lamb without spot or blemish protected the Israelite firstborn living in Egypt at the first Passover, the blood of Christ protects us from the curse of sin and death (which would include any and all generational curses).

Indeed the Bible says that Christians are blessed with ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in Christ. But the key is to be "in Christ". Those who are not "in Christ" are not blessed. And there are many who "profess" to be Christians but may not "possess" Christ within. Only God knows.

Yes generational curses are real . Every woman on my mother's side has gone through infertility. It's a disease and in our dna. I'm so happy I only have boys bc they'll never have to deal with it.

There's this book about operating in the courts of God. Basically the idea is that there's a judicial system and a law keeping the generational curse active. Is it real? I have no idea but I've attached the book.
