John 8:34-36
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

To repeat sin is to ask GOD to be out of your life. How is GOD to know you at Judgment if you kept on turning from Him? There is no Scripture to support your repeated sin.

If your abiding in CHRIST didn't cost you anything in your life, then you didn't attempt to form to Him (Obey). Your sinner's prayers for repeat sin didn't do anything for your relationship with Him.

1 John 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The luke-warm are not connected to GOD because sin separates you from Him. You wouldn't be doing repeat sins if you were covered in His Blood.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When the blood was on houses for Passover, did GOD put that blood on their homes or did they have to put it on themselves??? You are not automatically covered in His Blood.

If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, If we say we have not sinned we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

My little children these things write I unto you that ye sin not. And if any man sin we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous and He is the propitiation for our sins and not for our sins only but also for the sins of the whole world.

I believe in victorious living, we will only overcome by knowing that sin is forever defeated.

The luke-warm think they can sin as much as they want because they claim they have GOD'S Grace (Elected). They are not free from sin (Saved) if they are looking for Scripture to excuse their iniquity.

If you don't want GOD in your life -- that is what you are going to get. Good luck at Judgment.

yes the scriptire ckntinues where you left off and is also true

“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But to add to the ops point

“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:7-8, 10‬ ‭

We have to do more than saying sin has been defeated we have to actually stop serving it’s lusts and desires ( satans will ) and start walking in the faith of the gospel. ( Gods Will ) That’s the end game but getting there is a process and the result of the working of faith inside us as we believe the truth he will manifest those things in us

We know he’s willing to forgive our Mistakes and shortcomings but he also changes our behavior

Welcome to the forum. I hope your affection doesn't run to too much encouragement. I think that as a Calvinist I would more than likely find it fluffy. :D

Most buy satan's lie that that repeated sins are fine. They call it comforting lies for a reason.

i know no one will watch the 13 minute video --- but i really wish you would, it got me to write these notes:

What are you Saved from? Are you Saved from any sins at all or do you keep doing them?

Most walk up to The Cross but never get on IT!

Are you dead IN sin -- or are you dead TO sin?

Did your spiritual life change at all after you were "Saved" or did you just continue in your normal way of life?

If you are not using JESUS to stop repeated sins -- then why do you think anything happened? Why do you think you are Covered in His Blood?

Do you think CHRIST is in you right now?

The goal is to have a living relationship with Him. Do you want Him to know you?

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, ‘Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ 23 Then I will tell those people clearly, ‘Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you.’

If you are in CHRIST -- you are a new Creation -- do you think that happened for you?

If your instinct is to find ways to excuse sin -- ask yourself if you are really Saved.

An experience of GOD that costs nothing, does nothing. GOD in your life means you give this world up.

many just haven’t heard the truth yet brother remember that they are enslaved and don’t realize it yet

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

They are captives and yet in a bit of deception , we don’t want to despise sinners but want to preach the truth in love they will hear and turn toward the gospel .

Most any Christian even if they havent come to repentance yet once they understand Satan has got them serving his Will , that’s not going to let them stay there very long it’s a cringe worthy truth to realize but a powerful one for believers in Christ

some people have been lied to by preachers they trust telling them “ don’t acknowledge that sin is an issue it’s not anymore “ don’t worry your already saved “ “ don’t be fooled into thinking what you do matters “ just ignore how you live and you’ll be saved “

what I’m saying is the battle is one of truth and lies the truth sets us free once we realize what’s going on a believer who acknowledges the truth will begin to get free and find the true rest and freedom from the grip sin has on every man in the world.

we want to speak the truth in love hoping sinners convert we don’t want to put them in a group of false believers it’s the doctrine that’s been fed to some that keep them bound . the truth will break down the wall of thier prison cell and they will escape the enemies trap but not if they don’t know there’s freedom to be had

speak the truth in Love and let God do the rest !!!

Leonard Ravenhill was just about a stern a man as you could wish to encounter. Why Revival Tarries was his essential concern. In that meaning he was willing to call some brethren pigs to express his grief at the fleshiness of many believers. You may want to try someone a little more amenable to raise the same points about a loose attitude to sin. Leonard will likely have you stoned within the week. And I sense that your zeal is NOT well armoured. Best to dress in readiness if you are going to challenge other believers to answer whether Christ is in them. No discouragement intended by me here - just allow yourself time to absorb a mans ministry before you try to emulate him. If not you will surly be discouraged in open forum. God Bless.

The first thing the luke-warm do is try to swap "repeated sin" to "sinless perfection" -- they think this somehow excuses them.

it’s because of the scriptures in your op it’s not personal. Those type of scriptures are hard to hear so it’s received as insult but it’s because of this part

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

in reality any Christian should agree with sin being poison to the everlasting soul but false doctrine has had its way in the world so the truth becomes wicked and the lies become truth in a mind

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

anytime your gonna speak some mature material or wuote mature Christian scriptures that are the result of faith many who haven’t arrived there yet are instantly going to make it personal and begin with “your saying your sinless ?”

it’s because of the doctrine in the mind but the truth holds all the power to be made free by the son

I am a slave to Christ not sin, yes I do fall into sin at times as any honest person does but I was bought and purchased by his blood n the deed to my soul lies in his hands not in sins therefore a slave can only have one master a slave cannot decide who their master is by their own decision only by who made the purchase and the currency was not sin it was Christs blood.

While yes it is always good to strive our best to not live in sin the best way to do this is to live in love to soak in his presence to soak in his love and let it fill our soul body and minds. Love is the key and the cure to sin it isn't about how much you don't sin it's about how much of his love love you have in you how intimate your love and relationship with him is that is what will shape everything it will shape how little you sin how fast and deeply you grow in him how much wisdom and insight you are given how strong you are made in him it will mold and shape everything you can think of.

Anyone can try not to sin but God treeasures those who would seek after his heart with a hunger and thirst and passion of a starving lion those are the ones who will be seen without sin not those trying to be without sin

Just existing is sin. i don't do repeat sins. Focus on removing sins like drugs or sexual acts first -- everyone knows those are what people fight for. It is what most are a slave to.

The thief on the cross was not an excuse for you to put off being Saved. This existence is about your state at physical death. Good luck not being hit by a bus.

I’ve repeated sins while repenting deeply it became a hideous feeling which is what ended up setting me free

after that point I’m with ya I won’t ever go back to that feeling of knowingly sinning

the thing I think we should all consider is this part

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we’re all at a different place in what we know so the only judgement we can really have is on our own sins. And it doesn’t seem Impossible to do what you know is right ?

when we think in terms of the ot we’re doing a disservice to ourselves but if we think in terms of repentance and remission of sins becoming disciples who are constantly growing in knowledge it’s not that hard to do what you know in your heart and mind is the right thing.

that’s a pretty big difference because most people do what they know is right. It’s when we’re doing what we know is sinful and refuse to change our mind out it not being an issue that we’re willfully sinning

we have to know first before sin is taken into account and again it’s not that hard to follow the thkngs you know are right. It’s simply about acknowledging what God said is right within so we can be. Roughy ton to at place of terror and hideous feeling knowing we are serving the Will of Satan and not God

sin is a personal Matter now according to what we ourselves know of righteousness and sin . The more we know it raises the bar of our judgement

amen

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I began in my youth here and I was saved

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭

and then it became time to eat solid foods to sustain me and the lord showed me this question to ponder and it forced me to acknowledge something new that made me grow into a young man

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock:

and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that forced me into a better understanding and made me aware of something meant to edify me and all the sudden I was being led to maturity from faith to faith As my faith grew through this

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I began to understand how one is saved by faith and how God works in us who believe to change our self will and transform us into adults but a child has much less responsibility than an adult

“ when I was a child ( in Christ ) I thought as a child and reasoned as a child , but when the time had come I put childish thkngs behind and began to act as a man “

God is good and os able to do what he says including changing the sinner into his children clothed with righteousness and able to walk upright and even help Others stand and get off the ground

but now I cannot go back to my youth because I have become a weak and pitiful man but a man none the less
