I could not help but think of this on a Spiritual level. How much baggage we hold onto after our salvation.......even though we do not have to.

Ruck hump...I often get emails from soldiers and civilians who are training for Ranger or Special Forces courses on how to prepare for ruck marches. Many civilians training to join the Army ask more specific questions concerning how the ruck marches are performed.

I would have no need for a towel I would not participate in the swimming. would hang back sit with the bags so someone has a eye on personal items. Would also offer to take pics for those who wanted such. So would just sit back and watch those I was with have fun and make comments in jest towards them as they enjoyed themselves.

You really need to pack for the weather but most medicines you might possibly need.
Some medicines that are Over the counter in America are prescription in other places. And vice versa.
Snacks are also a must....

Umm...Simply, take what you need. If it requires a bag then take one. If your friend has some extra things and you have extra room then why not store their items too? Especially if they were only trying to be nice and bringing lunch for others as well. Why be so critical of how someone else packs?

There is no doubt in my mind nor would I even attempt to argue that you are not a more well read person than myself. The magical world that the printed word can take us to, expanding our minds and the sheer adventure it is. You could school me on the differences in the English language and different accents and the variance in the vernacular.
I used words that are common to me and the world that is shared amongst my friends and family and myself. Words I have used in speaking to my own mother. However, English can be a language unto itself even inside the English language.
Instead of just saying of myself that the vernacular I used was in no way vulgar. I chose to use sources outside myself to give assurance that the words had a meaning other than how you thought I was using them towards you. I am not gonna dishonor you and speak to you in a way that is unseemly. That is not just in the eyes of God nor is it just by the very virtue that you are a woman so there is honor due you by these two sheer facts alone. I am not gonna take away from you the very dignity you are due by being created in his image and the fact he created you female. Which is how man is created in his image male and female.
Due to geography as well as we come from two different worlds in occupations I may use words that in my vernacular that are harmless but to you they come across as offensive. Always feel free to make it known that you feel put out. I will in turn always be willing and without a grudge to take the time to assure that I did not steal the dignity you are due and I was not unseemly towards you. Will use sources other than just my word to show that how it came across to your ears was not how it left my mouth.

True. I was thinking of the "baggage of prior sins" believers tend to hold onto even after they are forgiven. One of the deceivers favorite ways to mess with believers is to remind them of the sins from their past...... Useless baggage! Hard for a believer to forgive themselves.......
Corrie Ten Boom used to say to people their sins were tossed into the bottom of the deep blue sea and there was a sign saying 'no fishing!'
I dont agree with dumping in the ocean though (cos we need our fish) but I think of it as tossing your sins into an active volcano and it being completely burned up to nothing.
I also recall this one...As far is as east is from the west, so has God taken our sins from us.
When birds take flight, they dont carry any baggage. For humans though, we are so needy and dependent that we cant even survive without clothing and shelter. We dont have built in clothes and we need a home or at least a tent to stay in. Those survivor shows are rubbish ...a bunch of rich people pretending they are poor and need survival skills well how about the poor who are barely surviving where they are right now.

well people say here Wednesday is 'hump day' meaning its the middle of the week and something to get over, otherwise, this slang expression is not used that often.
I just think if it as a camels hump. A ruck we never use (even a ruck sack) we call them dufflebags, or backpacks. I personally have never been made to march. March is a month. The only march people do here (nz) are protest marches but we call them hikoi, which is maori word for a walk.
though we sometimes call a walk a tramp!
Not a hike. We never say take a hike or Im going hiking, we say Im going for a walk or I am going tramping. Tramping usually means we are going in the bush. A bush means the forest, not just a shrub.

also there was a job on a film set and the new zealand actors had to fake an american accent otherwise they wouldnt be understood when the film was shown in the US
I think it kinda messed with my brain a bit. I sometimes talk pidgin engrish with my relatives.
I taught ESL for a while in teachers training and the foreign students taught me their langauges. I remember the russian who tried to take over my class and teach everyone else Russian instead of them al, learning and speaking English. lol

library books can be heavy ....thats why there are libraries
but I remmeber one head librarian went to the other extreme and tried to be 'minimalist' by getting rid of most of the books and just having a tv instead. Also we werent allowed to decorate the library.
I never got why she put 3 tvs in the library especially one in the childrens section.
I guess she wanted to stay tuned or something. I haven't watched TV in over a year.
