Nah, Kind David ain't in heaven or hell, he's right where Peter said he is: the grave awaiting the resurrection, like where Job himself said he'd wait.
When the saint chooses to love self more than God, he is no longer a saint, and if he dies without having repented as DAVID repented, he will wake up 1,000 years too late. Saints who do this are said to "fall away", become "entangled therein and overcome", "draw back", not "have compassion and pity on thy fellowservant", etc.
The Just Conditional Salvation Man falls seven times and rises up again. The Presumptuous OSAS Man's License to Sin is as fraudulent as a presumptuous Once Married, Always Married License to Cheat but since the Presumptuous OSAS Man is convinced he will remain a slave to sin perpetually, he needs that OSAS License which - as in the case of a driver's license, fishing license, hunting license, etc. - allows him to escape punishment for doing the exact same thing which will find the unlicensed man condemned in court.
Please tell me one person who has said that OSAS gives them licence to sin? It's known as a straw man logical fallacy. Look it up.

Please tell me one person who has said, "I'm going to buy my way to heaven" or "I'm going to keep the commandments so I can earn a trip to heaven".

See what I did there?

Annnnnnnnnnnnd, you've just proven my point. "Judge not" refers to motives and eternal destinies. However, "ye shall know them by their fruits" means we can inspect fruit all day long...and the fruit of most OSAS crowd members is disrespect, immaturity, rudeness, vitriol, spitefulness, etc.
And you are perfect in this respect? "Composthuman"? The word hypocrite comes to mind.

Yes. Ignore my question. Again.

Can you lose your salvation. My wife was a believer and she left me for another for another man after twenty years of marriage. Shhe said she no longer believes so she had grounds for the divorce.
Sorry for your pain, and welcome to CC. I've been through a divorce, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone (not even on the ex).

I married my ex on the basis that she was born again. I was wrong. She believed, but only the facts about Jesus. This all came to head about 9 years into the marriage.

She told me once that she became a Christian because she was looking for a better life. Church meetings are packed with people who claim the name but who've never been convicted of sin and who have never truly received Christ. It's not those who self identify that are truly saved. It is those that God has included in Christ, those that He acknowledges, who are for real.

"The Lord knows those who are His" (2 Timothy 2:19). There will be too many who say, "Lord, Lord.....", boasting in what they have done for God. Lord Jesus will tell them that He never knew them. I have no doubt that they will be among the most terrifying words ever uttered.

LOL There's huge difference between a bit of sarcasm and the vitriol you OSAS folks spew constantly, friend. I know how to say Posthuman, although I ain't figured out what that means.

Ah... so when you do it, it's "a bit of sarcasm", but when anyone else does it, it's vitriol?

Bull c**p. That's utter hypocrisy.

Such a distortion of truth. No one who is born again loves to sin. How can eternal life not be eternal? How can indestructible life be destroyed? Is the power of Christ too weak to finish the word that He started? How can someone be unborn again? The confusion, as I've said more often than I'd like, is the definition of salvation. I'm not going over it again.

Christians need to preach the whole counsel of God, not cherry pick Bible verses that suit their preconceived notions.

Work begins with actions which pertain to the work, both planning and execution.
If "The sinner is converted to a saint the moment he makes the CHOICE to exercise faith alone in God's free gift of grace - this conversion has zero to do with works. (Ephesians 2:8 KJV)", as you say, then he has attempted to use his "choice" to purchase salvation. And by so trying, it has become a work. But we know that salvation cannot be not obtained by our purchase of it, nor by our work for it. Its cost far exceeds and is beyond anything we could muster. It can only be obtained by it being given a gift with no qualifications to it besides that. When we recognize and perceive Christ alone as Saviour and perceive that we are not, is when we have been GIVEN faith as a gift, which is from being born-again as a gift, which is from being saved as a gift, which is from being elected as a gift. And as gifts, we can contribute nothing to them - we are but beneficiaries. How else could the Father's promise to all the seed be sure unless His promise was dependent solely upon Him and not upon us? By the way, the faith of Eph 2:8 is Christ's faith, not our faith, otherwise it could not be by grace.

[Gal 2:16 KJV]
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

No OSAS in the NT! How is deny OSAS denying Jesus??? It isn't! OSAS is truly Satan's license to sin.
hi ducky bill, OSAS stands for once saved always in the right hands, but in the wrong hands OSAS stands for once Satan always Satan, especially those people who use a doctrine called OSAS to constantly insult Christians with.

I think when once secure always secure is undermined, that is evil. Satan has been a liar all his life. One such lie is when he thinks to convince Christians that their eternal security in Christ, as Jesus taught, is a license to sin.

While we're told in the Bible even Satan can quote scripture, it is a blessing that the poor fool is unaware of 1st John 3.
And I call that a blessing because those of us who are aware of the passage know Satan is lying due to that passage alone. When the enemy of righteousness presumes to denounce eternal salvation, which is what Satan is doing when he presumes to say once saved always saved is a lie, and it is obvious by the mere word, "eternal", he fosters that falsehood upon those who are not familiar with the 1st John 3 passage.
But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has seen Him or known Him.

Personally, I find banning any topic in a discussion, generally speaking and not in opposition to what rules may apply here as pertains to banned subjects, is a mistake.
God given intellect is best exercised when we discuss that which we find to be contrary to what we deem is worthy of our attention. If we're opposed to a school of thought, but we know nothing of that school because we presume it is unworthy of our attention, we're not arriving at a rational conclusion. Because we've no idea what we're talking about. Rather, we're displaying our fear of learning about something we do not currently understand.
If it is false, it is best to expose that from our point of knowledge. Which can't be achieved if we refuse to engage.

The school of thought that is opposed to eternal salvation is an enemy of truth and the good news Jesus died to seal eternally with his holy blood. And it also revokes the promise.

Those opposed to the eternal security, eternal salvation, that is the Gospel should be confronted and silenced by the Gospel itself. Since it does not speak to them, they speak against it. As a Christian I find that unacceptable.

Eternal Salvation, and our faith, all irrevocable gifts of God, (Romans 11:29, John 3:16,) is not a license to sin. The Satanic teaching that it is, is precisely that. Satanic. Jesus didn't die to promote Satan's ministry. No Christian should ever stand for it to promote itself right before their face. Anywhere at all. Matthew 7:15-20.
by ignoring the fact that OSAS is a man made doctrine you promote a further licence to sin, by ignoring the fact that a Christian is above a doctrine, you promote sin, by ignoring the fact that atheists anti Christians , narcissistic people , people puffed up with pride are preaching OSAS.
You promote sin.

By ignoring the fact that that also sadly hurting people are preaching OSAS, you promote sin.

By ignoring ignoring the fact that
false accusations and appealing to a doctrine to create an enemy out of a Christian you promote sin.

By ignoring the fact it's wrong to work out sombodies elses salvation with a doctrine called OSAS you promote sin,

By ignoring the fact
To accuse a Christian there preaching works for salvation by appealing to a doctrine called OSAS you promote sin.

I'm only just getting started but I will finish on a good note, by appealing to Christian not to promote a grudge over salvation you promote unity .

If the OSAS crowd hates sin so much, why do they need a License to Sin? I used to go hunting, but since I don't want to shoot animals anymore, guess what...I no longer need a hunting license.

Jesus said doing "all that your heavenly Father hath commanded you to do" is "unprofitable"...how much more "unprofitable" is merely thinking than the unprofitable "doing" Jesus spoke of?

Name one person who has said that OSAS is a licence to sin. The only people I've heard say that OSAS is a licence to sin is the people who oppose OSAS.

You proved long ago, despite saying you do not judge people's motives, that that is exactly what you do, since you have said people adopt the OSAS doctrine specifically so they can have a license to sin. When this FACT was pointed out to you, however, you ignored it.

Ahhhhhhh, I see it now...your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak which is why His commandments are "too grievous" to keep -- and why we have to be OSAS.
...
If anyone tells you or any other OSAS person that, let me know and I will gladly stand next to you and denounce them as antichrist for "taking Christ's place" on His throne of judgment. ("Anti-Christ" literally means in Greek to "take the place of Christ").
Your assessment is people believe OSAS because they want to sin.

You have made that abundantly clear with all your rhetoric re: "license to sin."

If you are true to your word, you will denounce yourself as an anti-Christ, now.

Heh, something tells me you will not :giggle::geek:

On the other hand, you have given us permission to label you as such :D
