We can debate if the US is doing enough or not enough... but what can't be debated is that we are doing virtually more than any other country (including your own) to help.
I say this, and I'm against giving Ukraine all the financial aid when we have homeless veterans here in the US. Feel free to call me selfish and nationalistic, I just don't think this is our fight nor is it worth starting a potential nuclear war over.
This doesn't mean I am a Russian sympathizer, or that I am heartless towards Ukraine/Ukrainians... Putin is a thug and I hope the Ukraine holds it's ground. The US gets criticized for being the world's police and then for not doing enough... it's virtually impossible to escape criticism.
As much as I agree with Taiwan, I am also not a fan of going to war with China over it... I am not in favor of waging an economic war with them over it.
Showing weakness if we did nothing is the last thing to do in a threat like this. If they had not such opposition then would they think twice before invading other countries? No one knows but I do know that doing nothing is a sign of weakness especially for a country who has set it's dominance on the concept of liberty and democracy. We fought for others to give others this same chance and blessing that was given to us in America.
It is strategic as China warns countries of western imperialism but our enemies wish to do the same with Ukraine and Taiwan. We operate in other countries not only to secure human rights but to also help stabilize and make fertile ground for human rights to flourish. For example, WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, or even operation Iraqi freedom. It protects the home front while simultaneously helping others abroad.
The concept is there but failed in Vietnam due to the South Vietnamese wasn't willing to fight and secure such liberty.
Operation Iraqi Freedom failed because the foundation was never established for democracy.
That foundation is religious freedom. This is why every conservative administration has for its number one foreign policy to be religious freedom or right to conscience.
You can never have liberty or democracy if people want to kill each other over religion. You also can not have liberty or democracy if each individual life isn't held as valuable.
This if done correctly it builds perfect allies with the worldview of the west. If done incorrectly we are left with a directionless war that lasts for decades and no one knows what the victory is.
Most of the Iranian forces from my reports was willing to fight for their occupied land but due to Biden's disaster of a withdrawal they immediately lost their ability to gain intelligence, air superiority, and created self inflicted chaos.
Just air superiority alone as Trump upheld not only held the enemy at bay but also for 3 to 4 years saw no American lives lost. Biden gets 14 killed within a few months and blows up an innocent civilian Iranian family in a car with a drone strike.
Now this is what happens when we stop working against foreign enemies. We now see an Iranian terrorist state backed by US guns, ammo, and technology that was left. Do we let that fester and wait for another 9/11? Another Pearl Harbor?
I do not advocate boots on the ground in Ukraine but I feel we are doing good by supplying aid, helping refugees, and creating a NATO border. We need allies when against such great foes and ironically it is in such great of threat to unite the allies of the world.
