so there is a people of God.
the very people God saved from worldwide judgement.

you had dismissed the idea that Babylon, under Nimrod, could have persecuted "God's people" as though "God's people" don't exist until Abraham. so i put, "Noah" for your consideration.
if you mean that you take "God's people" to be Israel, well Abraham isn't an Israelite. that's not until Jacob, Abraham's grandchild.

i wonder whether Noah was on Nimrod's good side or bad side?
and Noah's sons, they were still alive -- who sided with Nimrod? who sided against him?
how did Nimrod feel about his enemies?
Yes, "God's people" didn't exist until Abraham. Although his ancestry could be traced back to Peleg and up to Shem, there was no evidence which suggests that Peleg or Shem was "God's people". Under Nimrod they were all in it together to build the Tower of Babel, nobody was opposing it, even if Noah was indeed alive at the time, he didn't stand in the way, that's why God personally intervened.

Noah wasn't God's people?
that's weird.
i really thought it was hard to disagree with that.

so God saved a single family from the destruction of the entire world, but they weren't His? :p

i'm suggesting maybe not being so adversarial with everyone.

here on a major Christian chat site's Bible discussion forum, a site in particular that is not terribly tolerant of open teaching of heresy, you're talking to blood-bought believers who are generally a good deal more Biblically literate than the average church-goer.
there are many people here more knowledgeable and spiritual and doctrinally sound than your average pastor.

i've been here for almost 9 years. you've been here less than 3 days.
please listen:

a lot of people come here ranting and raving about some point of view they believe to make them supremely enlightened and assuming that everyone they are talking to is blind. they often wind up just getting into giant arguments, losing their tempers, and getting banned within a few days. i've seen it happen over and over and over.
i suppose ((in fact i know, because i've seen a number of them later on other sites who tolerate all kinds of open false teaching)) that they probably think their being kicked out of the discussion somehow proves how righteous and correct they are, like they've been martyred. forgetting their own misconduct, lack of love & wisdom, and the correction they were given while they were here.

i'm not particularly interested in you winding up like that.
such an outcome is not particularly useful to anyone

“All i do is Obey.”

So this is a good description of your life constantly then it’s all you do in life ?
Remember this is just a short section of one sermon

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

Give to every man that asketh of thee;

and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be giveninto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:27-42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is how you live without fault your saying ? Again that’s just one example. Your telling me you can read this short sample and your convinced that’s all you do ?

have you ever noticed this ?

“And that servant, which knew his Lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:47-48‬ ‭

you can’t judge others because you don’t understand what’s they understand , the more one knows the more is required of them. Jidgement is according to what the person knows and jesus is the only one who understands that part for each person

what you know is meant for you to live up to not to judge others by it

Or have you considered that those who teach have a different jidgement than others because tbey are
Meant to know more ?

“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”
‭‭James‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

judgement is personal between the believer and Christ. Or this ? What is sin to me may not be sin to you because you may not know what I know ?

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭

it makes it impossible for us to judge each other or think that everyone is going to be judged by what we know , what we know is meant for us to judge our own self not others. They are only accountable for what they have learned from Christ not what anyone else has learned

but this has drained my spirit so I’m going to move on . You should consider this post and the first one that shows how Jesus treated sinners , and how he treated those who thought themselves righteous. It’s beneficial for a man who does nothing but obey
There is a difference between judging someone ...and telling them how their Judgment is going to go.

i don't have enemies, i have dead spirits being mad at me for shining Light on their sin.

i'm not afraid of a judgment against me ...umm, i'm not doing repeated willful sin.

So we should just wave goodbye to them as they go over the cliff, right?

This is My commandment:
that you love one another as I have loved you.
(John 15:12)
[/
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar;
for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen,
how can he love God whom he has not seen?
(1 John 4:20)
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-13‬ ‭

The yoke of sin slavery is not on me. The HOLY SPIRIT Grieves me when i do something wrong. All i do is Obey. i'm in a constant state of prayer in The HOLY SPIRIT.
You are caught in yet another lie.

But since you are probably too blind to see it, and certainly too dishonest to admit it:

The Holy Spirit would not grieve you if all you do is obey, as you say.

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires.

PS ~ do you have that list ready yet?

i get Grieved and i obey by not doing it again ...something you don't know anything about ...because you don't have any Oil. (Parable of the Ten Virgins)

yep your offering a great example of judging others I agree

so that small sample of Jesus teachings that doesn’t describe how you live your life on a regular basis in any way does it ? Food for thought

Noah was the one and only righteous man amidst the Nephilite giants, that was before the Flood - or Deluge. After that it was a new chapter in human history. Surely not all three sons of his were God's people as righteous as Noah, were they? We're not in the same chapter anymore, the context has changed.

Still waiting for that list...

Your excuses to delay amount to evidence of your slavery to sin.

Not that we didn't already know that ;)

But you seem wholly ignorant of it

Image is about knowledge

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Knowledge pertains to facts and information. Adam and Eve definitively weren't given the entire library of knowledge at God's disposal. So being made in the image of God is not about having the knowledge of God and Colossians 3:10 doesn't support that.

My original question was,
The inevitable question here (which I already know the answer to) to ask for the spiritual enlightenment of anyone is: if Adam and Eve learned gained the knowledge of good and evil when they ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil then did God also eat from the same tree?

any other takers?

each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
(James 1:14)
and it is a work of the devil because you are using the tree of death to do it. wicked intentions.

wicked intentions cause spiritual blindness. YOU ARE BLIND
