I love butterflies! Probably more symbolically that in actual fact, because although beautiful for sure they are still an insect LOL. AT least they don't bite!I often cannot consider a panel finished until a butterfly or two (or four, or seven, or any random number really) is on it, and sometimes I will leave them off just so every single one does not have butterflies on them
Symbolically they represent transformation: change to a higher state as pictured by an earthbound worm morphing into a multi-colored winged creature. Love has that effect on people too. At least emotionally. A good relationship will enhance both people though. It is not unusual for people to want to be better for their loved ones. I hope you get to talk to your dad

The objective is to draw them to us so we can see them. Putting out their equivalent of crack cocaine (that's a BLEEP of an analogy though, and somewhat inaccurate) is a great way to draw them.
You can do it! Better to hold his hand and tell him you love him and hope
he is saved now than regret not doing so after he is gone from this world.
As you know, my daughter's grand dad passed recently. Believe me, she was not in the habit
of holding his hand and telling him she loved him, either, but she did as he lay dying. Sweet.

Hmm...I don't think it's that far off, brother. There are studies done on rats showing that sugar is more addictive than opioids.
I guess the difference is that birds cannot buy more sugar so it's not a big deal if they have a little bit of it here and there.
Rats are not designed to flit from flower to flower, gathering sugar-loaded nectar while pollinating the flowers.
I would be interested to see those tests done on hummingbirds, if they could keep them alive long enough to test them.

Lol. That's such a sweet story. We have a bunch of hummingbirds living in the trees around our house, and they buzz around our head when their feeder is low.

Oh dear. We have a big one that likes to chase away the smaller ones too. We're not sure how to make it stop...
Don't know about the cold thing but very cautious and didn't get married for 35 years after my divorce as I swore I'd never get divorced again even if it meant not getting married. I was hurt and felt like a failure. I needed time to mature and get myself together so I am one who can now say that -
I have equally enjoyed my married time as I have my single time, both have advantages and disadvantages. I think we just need to learn to be happy with whatever place we find ourselves = single or in a partnership.
My main problem wasn't so much with people or men but my own relationship with God as I found life doesn't go so well without having God in your life, even if there are challenges that you have to face as it isn't all smooth sailing even when God is in your life, however, with God in your life you know you can trust in Him to help you get through those difficult times.
So please learn this lesson faster than I did in the above paragraph as it will save you a lot of heartache.
