They went there before Sunday Morning, the book says yet dark in (John 20:1) The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. (2) Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
In Colossians 2:16–17 Paul says not to let anyone judge a believer regarding food or drink or festivals or new moons or a Sabbath. Paul tells us not to put stumbling blocks to Christians, we shouldn't argue about such things for the reality is Christ.

When we are told that it was discovered that Christ had risen before the sun rose on Sunday, that means he was left on Saturday. If you would like to believe this was Sunday, be my guest.

It is a comfort to me to know Christ rose on the Sabbath, it tells me that God is truly eternal and never changes, God saved lives through blood on the Sabbath in the first Passover, and Christ rose to show us eternal life on the Sabbath.

Sunday began at 6pm on Saturday. Mary arrived at the tomb on Sunday morning.

No one had witnessed the resurrected Christ before that Sunday morning. I will repeat again, Sunday began at sunset on Saturday.

Here is the important point. Because no one knows the time of the resurrection, to attempt to guess that time is impossible.

All we have is the time that Jesus was observed to have risen by the disciples. Jesus was first witnessed to have risen, well over halfway through that Sunday. Jesus rose well into the third day.
So just how long does Sunday last?
After Jesus arose he went to see the disciples in the evening and it was still Sunday!
The Pharisees instituted the practice of lunar observance.
The Pharisee religion is what we now know as Rabbinic Judaism. It's not a secret! Look in Wikipedia even.
Jesus rebuked them many times.
The only (main) difference between then and now is that the second Temple is gone. So are the rites.

I've given several scriptures showing that the true Biblical days begin at dawn.
I gave a scenario of the resurrection that perfectly matches all related passages. That is what we must do, isn't it?
If any passage speaks against our theory then it falls apart because scripture doesn't lie to us.
Therefore all scripture must fit a theory for it to even be considered true.

The Bible also speaks in plain language (of the time) so the most obvious meaning is usually correct.
The ain't much to decipher. The disciples wrote using the Biblical day and night. Not the Pharisee day and night.
(other than when speaking about the preparation and Joseph of Arimathea because he was a Pharisee and that i why he could get the body of Jesus and the other disciples could not (because it was truly Sabbath).

The exact time of the resurrection is not known. The day when Jesus was seen (witnessed) to have risen, is the only time the text states.

Jesus rose on the third day, not after the third day and night.

Acts 10:40
God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He be revealed,

Luke 9:22
saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised on the third day.”

You are of the opinion that the first day of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath day of rest, no work!

You need to read the text properly.

Leviticus 23:7
On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.

The Bible student will notice that the first day of Unleavened Bread is not called a Sabbath.

The second point, the Bible student will see the difference between, a day of no work and a day of no laborious work.

You can conduct light duties, light work, on the first day of Unleavened Bread. You can prepare food on the first day of Unleavened Bread.

All work and including cooking is prohibited on the Sabbath. Failure to comply is a death sentence.

Read the text carefully.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread. This is the first feast (Nissan) in the year. The festival in itself covers seven days with the first and the last days being high Sabbaths in which no work is done. It

Jesus was not crucified on a Sabbath day. Jesus was crucified on the preparation day for the Sabbath.

Luke 23:54
It was a preparation day, and a Sabbath was about to begin.
to my point. Jesus was crucified on a biblical (true) sabbath. The Pharisees practice something DIFFERENT.

The text does not use the word, 'Sunday'. It is wiser to refer to the days on the Jewish calendar. Jesus was witnessed to have risen on the first day.

A night in Israel began at sunset. We know this when the body of Jesus was entombed. Jesus was entombed on the preparation day just before the Sabbath night began.

John 19:42
Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Luke 23:53-54
And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain. It was a preparation day, and a Sabbath was about to begin.

The Sabbath night begins at sunset on the preparation day, so Mary did not have time to anoint the body of Jesus.

You are in direct conflict with the scripture.

Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Sabbath.

Please stop mentioning the Pharisees, unless you have direct proof, that the Pharisees followed a different Sabbath paradigm.

You need hard evidence to support your claims.

This is the Pharisee day of preparation. Their Sabbath begins at 6pm.
Jesus was crucified during this day before 6pm
Joseph of Arimathea was a Pharisee. He collected the body and put it in the tomb. The women watched only.
All of the locals observed the same way. This was the religious correctness of the day.

I gave hard evidence in post 153 and 154 that the TRUE Sabbath, just like every other day, begins at dawn.

Until you realize that, you will never reconcile all of the verses pertaining to the Passion of Christ.

The Pharisees of Jesus' day are what we now know as Rabbinic-Judaism. This is not debatable. It is not even denied.
Flavious Constantine (same family as Flavious Josephus, a Pharisee) was a follower of Mithra.
The Modis Operandi of the religions in Samaria/Babylon/Persia etc. was and is Infuson.
The Hasmoneans from Samaria is where the Pharisee (look up Farsi) came from. They infused their occult into the Hebrew way.
They were instrumental in the rise of the Roman Catholic Church. They use the same M O to infuse paganism into Christianity.
Easter and Christmas are PRIME examples we all know of.

The return of Jesus Christ is coming sooner than we all may think.
I pray that we are all prepared as to not miss the signs of his coming.
Knowing the scriptures will help us get closer to the one true God of Creation and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Put on the Armor of God.

In the Leviticus, 23rd Chapter the sabbath day and the High Holy Days which begin I believe on the new moon. Are the feast of the Lord's. These days are to be observe in their season. In Colossians 2:16-17, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. These feast days are the plans of God, they represent the future, with example from the past. All Holy Days are not to eat or drink, such as the atonement, but still to be observe. So this is actually what a person would say to someone who do not keep these feast day of the Lord, if they were judging them on those High and Holy Sabbath days, they were keeping. They would quoted Colossians 2: 16-17. So if you keep the first day of the week, Sunday, then it makes no sense to use this verse. You cannot worship other days that’s not written in the Bible to do, and then use the Bible to justify it. So if you keep another day thats not written in the Bible, then you are doing something on your own, thus it would really be contradictorily.

No I don't. Jesus said "IN three days" (John 2:19-20), that's less than three days, the third day is partial. Jesus did not rise during the night, for He was the TRUE LIGHT, and light must be divided from darkness, that's the concept of "day" in Genesis 1:1-5.
So you saying the prophets Daniel is wrong?

A week in that prophecy is a week of years, which is seven YEARS. Middle of the week was three and a half years in, that's the exact length of his ministry. It's never meant to be a seven-day week.

Matthew 28: 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week...

One of many examples that the day starts at dawn. The Pharisee cult practiced days start at sundown.
Gen. doesn't prove anything. There was evening and then there was morning. That marks a day. That junction.

Let's read all of it in Matthew 28: 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

This verse kills Jesus rose Good Friday to Easter Sunday Morning. Jesus was gone early then it being dawn, because he rose on the Sabbath Day as it is written. Plus you can't get three days and three nights from Good Friday to Easter Sunday Morning anyways. So Mary came is was still dark, and Jesus was already gone.

But the scripture says in the mist of the week, he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. I agree and understand the weeks of years, but Jesus died in the mist of the week.

Yeah in the middle of seven years, not seven days. By the way the crucifixion day was not misty. There was no "mist".

Jesus died on Wednesday and rose on Sunday. And the reckoning of time was in the Hebrew mode (from sunset to sunset).
It's American time. It's Friday in China

This passage is not describing his resurrection, but the fact the resurrection has already occurred. The stone was rolled away in order for witnesses to see.

Exactly! It shows that Jesus arose BEFORE Sunday. That means Saturday (by God's reckoning, not Pharisee).
