You are pushing for "answers to your questions". You are poking into my personal life where you certainly do no belong. If I may translate this awful mess into questions about scripture, I will give your my interpretation of scripture.

I do not believe God wants us to hold onto sin, we are to repent of it and give it to the Lord for forgiveness. That is NOT holding onto sin. The sin is gone, forgotten, forgiven.

I don't think we should speak against obedience to the commands of the Lord.
Luke 6:46
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?”

Mat_5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

There's the problem with obedience to commandments.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

There's the solution.

If you call Him Lord then you should already know everything I say. And you should understand these scriptures;

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Strange that the legalists never talk about this.

be perfect.

It is amazing that some see this verse. but do not see its ramifications.

That is the requirement of the law. The jews did not get what Jesus was saying, they still crucified him, thinking they were righteous by the law. and failing to understand the true purpose of the law.

Christianity is a religion one of many in the world. (A catch-all title) the question What is it ? and Define it - this one of many religions is really a poorly worded question . At one point in my life Christians were a group of religious people that hid in the shadows in the church up the hill bound by some kind of invisible constraint that kept them from enjoying life. To the first Church , the Apostles were “witnesses of His resurrection”. The first church were martyrs. Did they lay down their lives for a Wealth and prosperity Gospel ? No Sir. They did not. There were plenty of matryrs in the dark ages . Protest-ants. The were branded heretics by the Papacy . To this day many “ Christians” have joined with Rome. Catholics of course see themselves as Christianity even though the Pope is the Head of their church. Jesus is the Head of the Church in the Bible. But that wasn’t the question , see what I mean ?

I wonder... Were the ten commandments given to a people who were so "lawless" that they couldn't see the common sense in "goodness"?

I often say that man's laws defend man's morality, and that's why man's law is so convoluted. However, God's law defines eternal morality.

Been thinking about you @Blik, how are you doing? :)

Jesus indwells the believer, religion requires acts and rituals to make ourselves right for God, Jesus paid it ALL for us, thus He could say "It is finished!" and "ALL authority has been given to me"!

What do you consider a...ritual...in our servitude to Christ? Just curious.

And, what does the Spirit do?

Christianity in America it usually is:

1. Let’s pick a verse from the Bible and build a church around It.
2. Churches are usually bad so stay away from them.
3. Stay alone to read the Bible.
4. Monks are usually bad because they’re too alone and this is not what God said.
5. Fellowship in the internet where we “correct” each-other where “iron sharpens iron”

Christianity is a term for what is perceived to be a religion that includes Jesus Christ in any form or fashion that does not necessarily include any obligation for obedience or faith.

"I’ve known people that are forty years in Christ that are still babies, they can’t give up this and they can’t give up that endless things what they can’t do all of it is true. but only for one reason they never became a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. “The world is loaded with , Christians what God wants and needs and demands are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. “ Jim Durkin.

We are redeemed by faith only, and repentance demands discipline and obedience... However, for those who love TRUTH, obedience to the LAW comes easy. I am not perfect, but I wear Christ's forgiveness like a perfect cloak.
