Do you guys have any golden rules you'd like to share? Little tidbits of wisdom that can help a person get through life a little easier, or maybe look at life in a different way? :) They don't have to actually be rules, just any words of wisdom will do.

Always use a condom.
Never get drunk in a group of people you don't know.
Use your knife when you can, and keep to the shadows.
When climbing in your bedroom window, make sure it's the right one.
Don't pick fights you can't win.
And when seeking revenge dig two graves, one for him and one for his mate who is bound to step in.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

I think if we bear that in mind we have a good starting point. oh, another one... think before you complain about a meal, they may take it away and fix it but I seen a documentary on disgruntled employees... wait till your finished. :)

Unless you dropped it, then the 10 second rule applies. It's a scientific fact that germs refuse to jump onto dropped food for the first 10 seconds.

Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

And:

The best things in life aren't things.

To profit from good advice requires more wisdom than to give it.

Don't look at a pig when you're pregnant. (Apparently this will make your children ugly)

Keep a space heater away from standing water while in operation.

Never cut your own bangs.

Keep the shiny side up.

And never squat on your spurs. :D

I have sent food back before when it is totally inedible, but I then just refuse to eat....I tell them to take it off the bill, and I'll leave and eat elsewhere just because I don't want to take the chance...

Beat it to fit, and paint it to match. (applies when trying to squeeze a 24" object into a 23 1/2" hole...also applies to packing luggage.)

Be prepared. (Boy Scout Motto)

That being overly cautious will make you miss the boat.

That missing the boat isn't always a bad thing.

That marching to my own beat isn't as awkward as I thought it was going to be.

I missed you too.

I was at that singles conference last weekend and this past week I've been laying a floor on my sunporch. I also ended up dog sitting for a friend so I am back up to 3 mutts and my back door as a no go because of the tiling job. Its been nightmare.

However, I have been peeking in on you all making sure you are on your best behavior.

I think one of my new golden rules is not to discuss religion or theology with people who have a strong opposing viewpoint :) Its just asking for a headache.
