I used to think that I had to have a mate to be complete and enjoy life. Then I got into a few horrible relationships that opened my eyes to seeking God first in all things.
People want to be in a relationship because they think they are missing something. But many in a relationship at times wish they were single. Have to be content in the state your in atm and allow God to work. I know because I learned the hardway too many times.
So now and in the future ,any man that wants to be the man in my life will have to be close to God to get close to me.
Something to think about. Get close to God and you will get the woman that is close to God to see you, amen.

The reason why I wrote the original post is because I felt like, maybe if I finally publicly declare that I'm through with looking for a mate that somehow my emotions would follow.

Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Just let you know, you are not alone.
I understand your feelings and situation very well.
I don't know how to comfort you.

But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

I often feel alone at work, because everyone there is married but me. All except for 2 or 3 people out of around 60 married people.

James 4

Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

1 Cor 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Dear Lord,

I ask that you would help me to give up on finding a mate, and help me to fix myself, and lean on only you.

Amen.

what about the children

they are not married!

Im meaning you shouldnt feel alone because they are the majority at school and that is the whole reason for your job, not really the other staff. Its the children come first, and they deseve to learn in a safe and clean environment

if youve got 60 staff that is quite a big school so I imagine you have hundreds of children, thats three times as big as mine...and they will grow up and need to learn how to care for their environment just as you do.

in some schools they dont have janitors, so the children are roped in to clean up the school with their parents volunteering to paint and fix the buildings...but I dont know if that is a good idea or not. it takes a lot from the parents time and not sure if they can do as good a job as somone who knows what they are doing (also, electricity is not really for children to mess with, or security systems! )

letting children loose with leaf blowers might not be a good idea but it would be fun to ride on the mower, though theyd probably cut the grass crooked

I don't have any connection with the kids. My job is designed that way. The only people i get to see are the teachers briefly before they go home.

what

the caretaker at my school does the road patrol, thats his way of connecting with the kids. The other thing you could do is coach a sports team. Think outside the box.

I recall when youngsters got in trouble tagging or grafitti, their punishment or community service was to repaint over what they had defaced.

So theres these volunteers that get these troublemaking kids together for a day of painting and planting trees etc they give them a feed and bond with them and make them. feel good and then they dont do it anymore cos they know SOMEONE cares.

No way! You got no idea how tired my job makes me! When I get home from work I can barely walk. My job has damaged my feet! Yes I go to a foot doctor, and buy expensive shoes.

Sorry I dont really know if a janitor is the same as a caretaker or groundskeeper I thought they were the same jobs just different name.
I like finding out about the different jobs people do and if they like them or not.

I walk over 10,000 steps on thinly carpeted concrete. I'm not the only janitor that has feet problems.

Custodian, Janitor, Caretaker, Groundskeeper, whatever you want to call us, the job varies in size and duties depending on where you work.

I would pray about this honestly and see where your at after a few days of praying; because maybe if you aren't ACTIVELY seeking, you will find someone. Women are into men who have confidence and who aren't insecure. Me anyways. To me, those things show you aren't as strong with Christ as you could be.

Please don't talk about Jesus taking you home. He will do it when it is time FOR HIM; not on your time. I hate hearing people so sad that they want to leave this world. Also, Jesus has never rejected you. You haven't been rejected since birth; I understand it may FEEL that way, but those are your feelings; not facts. Jesus accepts you.

Honestly I'm not sure why this thread keeps going. lol

I don't ever think I'll be "strong enough" in Christ, or confident. For me to be confident, would be a lie to everyone. My whole personality would need to be changed in order to be confident.
