Friend, I don't know what your situation is. But what I can say is this. That this life is temporary, and that our death is imminent, meaning that it can come at any moment for anyone. With that being said, it is clearly noticeable that this life is of lesser priority when we realize the fact that we won't last here forever, but that it is appointed unto all human beings to die. Therefore, what will happen when it is time for human beings to meet their maker?
God doesn't look at a man's wealth, a man's health, a man's beauty, or at a man's self-righteousness simply because God created the universe, God is all powerful and everlasting king, God's beauty and glory surpasses the heavens, and God is holy and just. And God loves you so much that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ on the cross, so that everybody that will believe in what God did for them will spend eternity with God who is all that I described Him as. God is never ending, but this life is. So then God is more important that this life and the things of this life. But more than that, God is the one who satisfies us, not the things in this life or its people.
Therefore friend, seek God who created you and if you have believed in Him He has justified you, forgiven your sins and if you have believed in His son and are walking according to the spirit, then He already sees you as glorified with Him for all eternity. But remember, that a relationship with Him is only between you and Him. Therefore, always seek to please Him and obey Him, because He gave us His word and the commandments in it because He loves us. Do not pay attention to men or fear what they can do to you, because the worst they can do to you is kill you, but if you are living for Christ that only means that you will meet Him sooner and remain with Him forever where there is no suffering or sin, but everlasting love, peace, and joy.
