So there is this guy I have known for awhile and I like him ALOT. Like I have and am developing deeper feelings for him, but I'm scared of being hurt and also scared I'm going to mess it up with him by my semi-constant messaging. I've asked him if I'm annoying and if I message too much but he says no . I've been praying that things will work out with him but something in me says I'm going to mess it up. Please advice?

That is a bit difficult I have no idea what you message about ….weather, politics, the Bible…?

Whatever level you are at.... you can step it up by making it more personal …Also keep in mind guys are not the sharpest tack in the group …sometimes subtle hints blow right by us. But maybe something like “It’s been a tough week am feeling empty and lonely ….don’t know how to shake this…..any advice.

I don’t want you to lie….. I mean if you are feeling on top of the world and completely complete in Christ, that line is not the best so use.

Just make it a bit more personal from whatever level you are at…. and see how he responds ….

I feel that we are already on a deeper level but he has been hurt in the past like I have and we are both struggling to open up with eachother (I THINK)

Corinthins 13:
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth

Keep in mind you are asking this in the singles forum. What do WE know about this? We're single.

You might find a few friends who are married and ask them.

Personally I have no advice to give because I've never been there. I'm a happily single guy. :cool:

I have found that in messaging (email, texts, snail mail, phone calls, etc) that a little affection goes a long way. My counsel is to believe that your interst in him as an available single man has definetly caught his attention. I would not hit the brakes in the messaging but rather I would step on the gas a little bit harder. This may prove to be a very interesting ride for you. Allow God to be your GPS and plan your itinerary. He would love to do this for you.

Most of us that have been or are interested in an enduring relationship have been hurt in the past. You allow God to pick you up, learn from your mistakes and then carry on, moving forward again in a positive direction.

I believe that the two main factors that hinder a pursuit is the fear of rejection or fear of commitment. Those that are tentative in attempting a relationship might settle for a perfect set of circumstances before even attempting such a thing. They want to wait for all the lights to be green, and every 'T' crossed and every ''I dotted. They will find themselves waiting all of their life. And alone. That's just the way that it is.

God will not simply drop that special one of your heart's desire in your lap. You reach a point in your life that you either know what you want or you don't. If you know what you want you have, despite possibly being hurt in the past, you must go for it. Attempting to start a loving and enduring relationship is a calculated risk. Eventually, you have to shake the dice and let them fly. At least that is how I have rolled 'em.

Pray for God for guidance for a prospective opportunity to arise. If such an opportunity should arise you must take bold decisive action and let the chips fall where they may. The game of love is not for the timid.

There is a saying "no pain, no gain'. From my own experience and observation, I believe that there is an element of truth to this. A relationship can be quite an adventure, good or bad. By the grace of God any good far outweighs the bad. Personally, I have traveled down an interesting path in this regard. Being single is easy but having a loving and faithful relationship is more rewarding. At least it has been for me.

Many such journeys are possible. Safe passage.

Subtle hints as you suggested can prove to be very effective.

you can never be too annoying and eventually he will cave
then you will run out of data just as he says yes
