Can anyone explain how a "Christian" nation can openly call for, tell Dr's that it is ok if someone cannot afford housing, food, just to depressed it is ok for them to go ahead and kill them if that is what they want.

Not only have you misspelled the name of my nation and put your post in the wrong forum, but you have also grossly misrepresented the facts of the article.

Yes, my husband asked about this. Can you clear this up? I haven't had time to check the facts on this one.

In 2016, Bill C-14 formally legalized assisted dying in Canada and laid out
rules for how it could be accessed. As of March 17, 2021, Bill C-7 received
Royal Assent, which means the law no longer requires a person’s natural
death to be reasonably foreseeable to access medical assistance in dying (MAID).

Since last year, Canadian law, in all its majesty, has allowed both the rich as well as the poor to kill themselves if they are too poor to continue living with dignity. In fact, the ever-generous Canadian state will even pay for their deaths. What it will not do is spend money to allow them to live instead of killing themselves.
As with most slippery slopes, it all began with a strongly worded denial that it exists. In 2015, the Supreme Court of Canada reversed 22 years of its own jurisprudence by striking down the country’s ban on assisted suicide as unconstitutional, blithely dismissing fears that the ruling would ‘initiate a descent down a slippery slope into homicide’ against the vulnerable as founded on ‘anecdotal examples’. The next year, Parliament duly enacted legislation allowing euthanasia, but only for those who suffer from a terminal illness whose natural death was ‘reasonably foreseeable’.It only took five years for the proverbial slope to come into view, when the Canadian parliament enacted Bill C-7, a sweeping euthanasia law which repealed the ‘reasonably foreseeable’ requirement – and the requirement that the condition should be ‘terminal’. Now, as long as someone is suffering from an illness or disability which ‘cannot be relieved under conditions that you consider acceptable’, they can take advantage of what is now known euphemistically as ‘medical assistance in dying’ (MAID for short) for free.
Soon enough, Canadians from across the country discovered that although they would otherwise prefer to live, they were too poor to improve their conditions to a degree which was acceptable.

You have presented some facts about the history of legalized euthanasia in Canada, but you haven't owned or apologized for any of your errors.

Some people are too poor to improve their conditions. That doesn't mean that suicide is a good choice, but it remains the choice of the individual, and not the government. The articles misrepresent the truth, and make it more difficult to address the real problems at the core of the nation's slide downhill.

Canada (not Candia) has been governed by Liberals/Socialists/Communists/Marxists for a very long time. So it is not really a "Christian" country.

Furthermore, during the Scamdemic, the premiers of Canadian provinces targeted Christian pastors for disregarding their useless rules and regulations, and actually jailed them and painted them as criminals for exercising their Charter rights. When the Freedom Convoy truckers protested, Communist Justin Trudeau tried to take away their legal right to protest, by lying about them and attacking them viciously and falsely painting them as Nazis or worse.

Now there is a Liberal Canadian MP who actually wants to make killing babies a Charter right! Can you believe such evil insanity in a country which has one of the strongest charters of rights and freedoms? Ultimately it is the voters who are responsible for voting without thinking, or valuing their rights and freedoms. And even the so-called Conservative Party is not what it claims to be.

I am sorry that I misspelled Canada and as an outsider I was wanting to know what you thought about it. As a citizen, a vet of the good Ol USA I am not happy with the state of our country and it is getting any better God has made it clear it will not get better but will keep going downhill.

I was not trying to say anything bad about the people in Canada I wanted to know if the report was true. Lord knows we have our own set of problems and they may be wore than yours. South of your border we have our own problems and they may be worse than yours.

Now our globalist traitor leader is about to introduce digital I.D.s, starting in my province. The plan is that, among other things, I'd need this I.D. to pick up my prescriptions and access government services. I'm on a government pension. This guy is evil!
Whether I live, or whether I die,
There is no way that I'll comply!
