There are three things which Satan has used to great effect in his bid to destroy the body of Christ. I'll list them below.

1. Postmodernism: Postmodernism is largely the result of the Enlightenment. Previously, fear and superstition reigned supreme. The Enlightenment brought reason and logic; Yahweh's word was interpreted objectively. Postmodernism is a reaction to logic; it posits that nothing is objective, everything is relative. Thus, every person's interpretation of the word is just as valid as any other's. The situation isn't that different from that described in Judges 21:25: "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes."

2. Experience over doctrine. The second tactic Satan has used is getting people to put their experiences above sound doctrine and teaching. The evidence of this is the emphasis on praise and worship over preaching and teaching. People work themselves into a mystical state which they mistake for direct communion Yahweh. Why bother with the word when you can experience Him directly. Why bother with study when you can be "Spirit-filled."

3. Authority of the word lessened. When Satan can't get people to abandon the Bible he convinces them to think they have "fresh revelation." That is, discoveries in the word that others have supposedly overlooked for centuries. One common tactic is to refer to modern Christianity as the "second reformation." In other words, the Protestant Reformation was the first reformation, bringing with it unknown truths in the word. The second reformation is similar: it brings to light fresh ideas that have been overlooked. But the comparison is faulty. The Protestant Reformation revealed truths that had been deliberately hidden; the so-called second reformation brings new and unfounded interpretations of scripture and sound doctrine that have been studied thoroughly and accepted.

Satan has may other tactics, but to me these three seem like major tools in his arsenal at the moment. Whenever you encounter them don't walk, run.

Question on number 2.
What about Priests and Monks who study The Bible their whole lives, what do you make of them?

I don't know. What should I think of them?

We have someone here doing that right now. Putting words in Jesus' mouth
and refusing to accept that is what he is doing, while he has made several
posts to the effect that he simply accepts what the Bible says. He claims
his interpretation is unique, and that 99% of people would disagree with me
when what I have done is shown him what Jesus actually said as recorded.

While there is no doubt that these are tools of Satan, his Master Plan is no different than his agenda which is to STEAL, KILL, AND DESTROY. That is exactly what we are seeing worldwide, and it works at various levels and in various fields, whether they be religion, politics, medicine, economics, sociology, psychology, communications, technology, etc. But Satan's shenanigans will not go on forever.

The day of reckoning is fast approaching, and for all we know some of his leading minions may all drop dead at the same time to show that God rules in the affairs of men: In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old. (Dan 5:30,31) And let's not forget Haman and Jezebel.

. . . lest we forget, GOD always has a remnant!

You're welcome. :)

good edifying post

if we look back to satans origins we see his plot is always to turn our ears from the truth of what God said , and turn it over to anything else any other cooky thought or self invented doctrine like the mysticism your talking about how we don’t need the word now because we have this magical spirit that came to us not how the Bible said it comes but because we claim it did

If we stick to the word God has given us Christians in the gospel and don’t let Satan take it out of our belief , we’re never going to be deceived by the great deceiver of the world

“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I see that happen a lot simple things Jesus for instance sows this into our heart when we hear and believe the gospel

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so immediately Satan starts trying to get us to disbelieve that word of Christ “ baptism isn’t a real thing “ no one needs to believe the gospel of the kingdom Jesus died and rose the end “ salvation is by faith alone it had nothing to do with hearing and believing the gospel or getting baptized ect ext

anything he can get us to believe other than what Jesus said clearly as an instruction and resulting promise. Satan wants us here

he that believeth not shall be damned.”

so he has to get us away from accepting and believing this truth

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

this of course is a simple example but every turn he’s that way every time we receive a gem in our heart that teaches us something satans main goal is to take that away from us because it’s life and salvstion and he doesn’t want that for man God does so Satan needs to get us away from his word into some other idea

Satan's master plan started when he had the first thought that he could ever overthrow God and take His place.
