I completely agree. Some are content with notion of “I’m in”. That’s a dangerous position to take. Magenta posted the scripture I was thinking of.
well are you in or not? are you still an outsider? what do you hope you will do between now and when you croak that will earn you salvation?

"And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard."—Colossians 1:21-23

Why would he warn them not to be moved if it was impossible?

Yikes!

I'm in big trouble! As well as just about ever other Christian I know, or heard of.
That is why we repent :) we do not read of repentance from Ananias or Sapphira
The big named TV preachers are no the only ones who steal from God or the local churches

Yes but you folks are moved away from the hope of the gospel, the hope of the gospel is everlasting life, that's what you heard isn't it? why are you now doubting it.?

It's not salvation that is in jeopardy but that ye might not be holy and blameless and without reproach.

How can folks be grounded and steadfast? when they torn between being saved and being lost.

How can you preach salvation? the first question folks will ask is "are YOU saved?" that's the end of your preaching for you can't say yes.

Gee Willikers, Mr Wilson. Since I'm already saved and my salvation can't be taken from me, then I can do any nefarious deed, no matter how sinful. And why shouldn't I pleasure myself with all that this world offers? After all I'm saved, so I can have both this world and heaven too!!!!!!!!!!! How great is that? What a deal!!!!

Nothing is beyond my wildest desire now, as Michael Jackson's song went, "Don't Stop Til You've Had Enough'. Thanks to the doctrine OSAS, I can have it all and heaven too!!!!!!!!!!!! All the debauchery, pleasures, and hate toward all those I despise.

This shows that you are clueless as to what salvation is. what the new birth is.

Do you think salvation is from hell? don't you know that salvation is from sin? how could someone saved from sin behave as you have said?

Do you know somebody who acts that way/ I don't and I've been in this thing for more than 45 years.

Have you not read Luke 21?
Witnessing to All Nations
(Matthew 24:9-14; Mark 13:10-13)

10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. 13And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. 18But there shall not an hair of your head perish. 19In your patience possess ye your souls.
The Destruction of Jerusalem
(Matthew 24:15-25; Mark 13:14-23)

20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The Return of the Son of Man
(Matthew 24:26-31; Mark 13:24-27)

25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

What Synagogues are these that they will deliver you up to?
Revelation 2
Message to the Church in Smyrna
8And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 3
Message to the Church in Philadelphia
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

All 3 passages right from the Word of God all say the something. You will be tempted you will be delivered up to Death "Satan"
Hebrews2:14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
No where does it say that there is a pre trib rapture.
Why would God want a bunch of wimps in Heven for eternity that could not handle the temptation of Satan.
Do you not trust God enough that when He says not a hair on your head will parish that He us unable to follow through on that promise? That is what it sounds like you are saying.
You missed one...
Because God is merciful. The pre-trib rapture will take away the hindering Spirit (the true church) allowing the false prophet to come to power. However, God provides 144,000 to minister to the world during the tribulation. Again, many during the tribulation will have the knowledge of God but deny His power and accept the mark of the beast... but God also promises to pour out His Spirit at that time and many will be saved.

The Lord promised this Reward in Heaven to St. Peter and the Twelve: "Mat 19:27Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 30But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." Every believer will have his own reward (see 1 Cor 3:8), but the Apostles received more for their labors.

Yet, when Judas sinned and fell, he lost Salvation and this Privilege, of being one to judge the 12 Tribes of Israel. Some commentators say it was instead given to Matthias, whom the Apostles chose, and others that it was given to St. Paul, whom the Lord Himself chose.

The Lord's Promises are conditional on faithfulness to the Covenant. See the example in 1 Sam 2: "30“Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained."

For me, these 2 verses are enough: "Be thou faithful until death: and I will give thee the crown of life." (Rev 2:10). The Lord did not say "Be OSAS, and I will give you the Crown of Life", but "Be thou faithful until death". Faithfulness until death is the condition to gain the reward. Eternal Life is at the same time a Gift of Grace and a Reward mercifully promised for being faithful to God unto death.

And Mat 24: "12Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. 13But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved." Someone said the Lord is speaking of perseverance through trials. The passage says many will grow cold in love, i.e. they will fall from their first love (compare: "2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." (Rev 2:2-5)

To the questions posed to me, how many times can one lose Salvation? Salvation is having the Holy Spirit. If you die having the Holy Spirit, you are saved. When you believe and are baptized, you receive the Holy Spirit. When you sin unto death, you lose the Holy Spirit.

So, if you lose the Spirit, you lose Salvation. If, after being born again/justified, you never sin mortally/unto death, you will be saved.

If you go on sinning, you may lose desire to repent. But if you repent, you will be saved. It is conditional/dependent on being faithful.

The reason some verses say we already have Eternal Life is because we have the Spirit, and the Spirit is called Life in many passages.

Rev 22:12 "And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

Rom 2:6 "He will render to each one according to his works: 7to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life". See what the verse says? He will (future) give eternal life to those patient in well doing.

God Bless.

Here's one for ya. I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll wiggle out of it: "For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end."—Hebrews 3:14

If you really think that way then, either there's no Spirit in you, or you're Catholic... :rolleyes:
