So, I left work today because Chase Bank credit and debit processing systems are down.

Walmart and various other stores using the Chase system are down.

Unless a store can process their own credit card, shoppers can only pay with cash.

On a three day banking holiday weekend! o_Oo_O

Russia?China?
Hacking a major bank and shutting down commerce on Memorial Day weekend?

This off line thing with Chase happened this afternoon.

A Hardware store was filling our purchase orders for on site customer purchases, by hand!
Recording the customers credit card information, front and back of the card, or the debit card.

How's that work? They can't check to see if the card is vid, and weren't asking for ID. 😳

While you and I are in the US, the OP's profile says they are in Canada.
Is there a difference between the Chase banks in the US and Canada?
I don't know.

Just because one store was down doesn't mean that Chase was down worldwide or even nationwide. Try checking the news, even the Mainstream media would report that.
