Most school shooters. In the last 20 years how many is that? 10? Because if 2,600,000 kids are expelled each year then in the last 20 years it is 41 million kids. You don't understand math.
again you fail to see we went from suspension, weekend detention, RO( recourse officers) to expelling for the reason of :

assault, sexual assault, gang activities, attacks on teachers, and other students and you think the overly high number of expellings is an action taken? expelling doesn't reach kids no more than gun control.

Locked doors at a minimum should be the standard, with access at one point that can be monitored.
Do you work in a school? There are people coming in and out continuously throughout the entire day. Locking the door would be crazy and completely unworkable. Who is this person that is monitoring the door? You want to hire someone full time to watch teachers and students and parents and delivery people and people who are visitors walk in and out all day long. The front door is generally right next to the main office. So the people in the main office are there. These are secretaries who are quite busy all day long.

I suppose you could have a camera and a bell that people would have to ring before getting buzzed in, but there would be a hundred reasons why someone could say they are coming in. For example, even if I didn't look up the school on the internet to get names of teachers or staff I could always say "Hi, just moved to the neighborhood and need to see about getting my little girl into school". They would buzz you in.

This is absurd!

You said that the problem is that school's are hiding information. I have been trying to find out what exactly you want them to do differently.

I bring up the numbers of those who are expelled because the Parkland shooter was expelled a year before his shooting and we still don't know why. That is the only example I can find of a school "hiding" information.

My point is not that expulsion is a solution. My point is this is indicative of how many cases of seriously bad behavior you have at school. It is at least this many, could be ten times this many. But the question for you, which you have not answered, is what should the school be doing differently. You said they were hiding information. OK, what should they do with the information on these 2.6 million expulsions?

I guess that is the same thing for the RCC church HUH?
Why not stick to the topic in this thread. You said that school's were hiding information on these kids and that was contributing to having school shootings. What do you think the schools are supposed to do differently?

Here are the change in policies I would recommend for Schools and Home

1. Institute school prayer every day.

2. Create posters that are based on scripture, you could have at least 10-20 different ones posted in any school, both in the classrooms and in the hallways.

3. Encourage a bible study club at any school. (The way clubs work is that teachers will list what club they would like to run and then if they get enough kids interested the school will fund the club. However, a teacher cannot do a Bible study club, only kids can organize it and then the kid has to find a teacher who will host the club. This makes it very difficult because teachers are not permitted to talk about their Christian faith at school so how would a kid know which teacher to ask?)

4. Rather than referring ADHD and other types of disruptive kids to big pharma, refer them to someone who will focus on their diet and exercise. There is a very strong correlation between using psychotropic drugs and school shooters.

5. Instead of paying for a large team of cops to provide security to every school instead fund Music, Art, Drama, and after school sports programs. The high school I was at had about 8 full time cops, the salary for one full time cop would cover 8-10 after school programs.

6. School disciplinary issues should result in calling in the parents and determining if the kid is playing violent video games and watching porn. Then, rather than expulsion the parents hand over the video game and TV. Schools also have parent coordinators who visit homes. So once a kid is identified as a problem kid the parent coordinator will visit the home so this is not simply "the honor system". Let's vilify violent video games and pornographic TV.

7. School disciplinary cases should also be able to mandate a kid attend after school programs.
I would also recommend that church leaders start preaching the real gospel. Enough of this “I’m ok and you’re ok and God love us” You start preaching actual repentance, Gods wrath, and actual sanctification, you’ll really start to see who is of the flock and who isn’t.

I agree, but the discussion was on what school's should do.

FYI I said that was one of the issues. YOu just take issue with it I in fact gave many. Expulsion is not a solution it is a reaction to an action.

You will never get school districts to agree to something like that. Public schools have become a basin for evil ungodliness. Not all, but too many. Homes and churches are where the foundations need to laid.

the argument of gun control or more guns are sidebars to the real issues. What has been consistent in every school shooting?

  1. all males young
  2. drug or substance buses issues
  3. broken homes
  4. parent or family member allowed access to guns
  5. anger and emotionally troubled
  6. the family hid these issues
  7. Schools hid these issues

Simple way to get school districts to agree on that: if you are a Christian pull your kid out of the school. When 50% of the kids are pulled out the school district will be willing to negotiate.

I worked in a school. What issues did we hide? We were all mandated to report any threat that we became aware of. Again, answer the question. What are schools supposed to do that they are not doing?

Small town of a few thousand people, it was an elementary school, what kind of "security" were you expecting?
This has been happening for years now.
It is past time to have secure buildings with armed security officers on duty at all times.
There is more than enough money wasted every day to pay for this.
These are our kids. What ever it takes no matter what the cost or who feels inconvenienced.

I have asked multiple times and have yet to learn what he means.

The kid in Buffalo threatened to come and shoot up the school. The teacher did report this, they were referred to psychiatric help as well as to the law enforcement.

Schools are already mandated to report these extreme warning signs. What is it he wants schools to do that they aren't doing?
Well how did the texas shooter get into the school?

years ago I had teachers who had worked in an inner city school system, they were clearly told the job was not to educate so much as keep them off the streets where they could not perpetrate crime.

1 security guard is not enough. What if he is at lunch, what if he is called to some incident somewhere in the school. OK, so you have two, but again they will have to use the bathroom, etc. They don't want these guards to have guns. I worked at a high school with 8 full time police officers but they didn't carry guns. The reason is that on a daily basis the school is so crowded and so many kids everywhere that they know if they are carrying a gun kids will try to pull it out of his holster.

So if you hire 4 full time police with guns to guard the front door of every school you can be sure your education will suffer greatly. We needed $60,000 for tutoring program for a year. Didn't have it. That is the salary of one security guard. We didn't have after school programs. We didn't have a music teacher. We didn't have drama. But we had 8 security guards.

My feeling is if you need those 8 guards then you need to pull your kid from the school because that school is giving away all kinds of programs that would make it a good school.

I home schooled 3 kids. Far better than the education you are getting in public school these days.

I work in school. They hide stuff all the time. You are not being sincere with your question. And Choose to move on from this monologue with you. I will seek dialogue with others. Thank you.

I found out how,

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed a school police officer exchanged gunfire with the suspected shooter who unleashed fatal gunfire at Robb Elementary in Uvalde.

Texas DPS confirmed to Fox News that the school officer was injured by gunfire, which allowed suspect Salvador Ramos to run inside the school and barricade himself. Ramos dropped a bag of ammunition at the entrance of the school as a result of the shootout, according to DPS.

Well beyond having more than one armed school officer maybe also have auto lock doors with only one entrance where people have to go through security.
