Wow... thought I was a fan LOL

I know Justin's still doing something, not surprised to hear this 70-something's still touring. But, when I last heard him interviewed, he sounded very worldly. The man needs prayer.

From 2016, linked at end: Moodies’ bass player/vocalist John Lodge is a Christian, and
I recently stumbled upon a ten-year-old interview where journalist Paul Du Noyer asked
Justin Hayward, “And where has this search brought Justin Hayward in 2006?” Hayward
replied, “I would have to say Christianity. I came from a family with a very strong faith,
I moved away through all sorts of Eastern religions, through meditation, the Tibetan
Book of the Dead, anything else. It was reading C.S. Lewis, books like Mere Christianity,
that helped me to define what I really felt and finally decide. So I came full circle.”

Justin Hayward doesn’t make any overtly Christian statements in his music, and if he did,
his career would be marginalized and his audience might dwindle significantly. I do love
the Moodies’ Christmas album December – even though it’s 13 years old – because it’s held
up very well over time, but again, there are no overtly Christian statements in the songs.

!!!!!!!

He seemed to be talking about being high in one interview, but granted, I don't know exactly how old that interview was. That is awesome!!! Thanks for enlightening me on that. I've been in the depths of the Pacific for too long.

One of my favorite works by these guys was not even from the full band, but from Lodge and Hayward, called "Blue Jays". The album is so dang melodic. Geeeezzz... Brings me back to my college days.

About 6 or 7 years ago, I found a brand new printing of the Days of Future Passed LP. Sounds gawjus. I'm missing a few albums still, but have most of them in either vinyl or CD form.

I am listening to Every Good Boy Deserves Favour right now (the full LP :D). I will have to see if I can find
the Blue Jays one you mention, and also the December one the other writer I quoted made mention of :)

You are welcome :D

This is what I'm listening to:

My microSD card died yesterday, half an hour into my shift, so I spent the day without music. I was NOT happy!

Sorry but can someone point me to a 80s-90s music thread I think I saw here? I should have bookmarked it but I didn’t.
I also searched but I couldn’t find anything.

Thank you.

Assemblage 23 did that?!?

First, I thought I was the only Christian on earth who liked this guy's music. But, I never took him for a believer. If that song's not Christian, it sure sounds like one.

Let's do a music thread :D

What are you currently listening to?

I Wouldn't Know Any Better Than You, by Gentle Bones

I rarely listen to music.

Generally, the most music in the week that I hear is at church. 🤷‍♂️
