This is the first of many parables that Jesus told. We have a sower(a farmer or gardener) He is going forth to sow (pant seeds).

As he was sowing them (throw them out) some fall on the path and on the side of the road where the ground was hard and they could not get any root and the birds, fowls came along and ate them. They did not have a chance to grow at all.

The field or garden had weeds and thorns around the edges(I say around the edges a good farmer or gardener will make sure his ground is ready for planting) The thorns grow up and choked them out.

Other seed fell into that good ground that was tilled and ready, and it brought forth crops some 100 fold every seed grow, some 60 fold most grow but some didn't, and some 30 fold some grow we got a crop from them just not as much as the others but still very good.

The disciples believed in Jesus they had walked with him for a time so they had picked up knowledge that the people did not have. (yet; I thank they would have there chance)

Verse 12.

For to everyone who has. If you are witnessing to someone the have something they can tell you to leave I don't want to hear it or they can ask you to tell them more, and I hope you have the knowledge to give them more(I am sure you do or you would not be out witnessing) Just like the farmer sowing his seed the one that walks away that is like being on the hard path. You lead someone to Jesus they are excited they go home and tell a friend or several friends they may get told your crazy, that is good for you but it is not for me. You follow up with them but they never get back with you at all they fell on rocky ground. They may get back with you and go to 2 or 3 bible studies and walk away. That is the weeds chocking them out. Then you find the diamond in the rough they grow, maybe 30,60 or even 100 fold.



This is what I would call teaching the milk of the word.

Plants go through a transformation. As a seedling, plants uptake their water through their leaves, through what is exposed and above ground. The leaves gather water from the air, for there is no taproot. This water in the air is the Holy Spirit, leading and drawing us to Him in life as we live amongst our co-earthly, fallen brothers and sisters. But if the seedling does not have soil that possesses enough food and water, the seedling will not grow. The seedling knows nothing about how deep the soil is; all that it knows is that it is alive and well, feeding on the water found in the air. But as the seedling must grow, it begins to develop a taproot. This is the main root of a plant. The purpose of a root is to gather both food and water. But before the taproot existed, the seedling received its water through its leaves. But now, and depending on the soil, the plant will be forced to either develop a taproot and live, or it will wither and die from a lack of good, deep soil for which the Root to gather its food and water. The seedling is clearly to become transformed, but whether or not it will, will depend on whether or not it receives water, the Spirit of God. If not, it will die in shallow soil. It will die on rocky ground, and some seed is eaten by birds before it has a chance to even get started. But if the seedling does not mature and develop roots, it will die, and there is no escaping this fact. An Evergreen tree cannot become an Evergreen tree unless it has roots. The seedling that should become a tree will die if it does not establish roots.

Like a new babe they want to know everything and anything as that fire spreads throughout there heart.

“You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.

Just one of the many references to the Sower and planting seed in the Field. The seed is the Gospel of Jesus Yeshi Yah, the field is the world. Of course we all know Who the Sower is.

• Matt 13:10 . . And the disciples came and said to him: Why do you speak
to them in parables?

Jesus answered their inquiry by referring to an incident in the 6th chapter of
Isaiah's prophecy wherein God had lost interest in numbers of His people
because they had lost interest in Him. The Jews' spiritual condition was little
different in Jesus' day, i.e. many were called but few chosen, and that's
because the many were indifferent; which is not the correct response.

• 1Sam 3:19 . .The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of
His words fall to the ground.

Now, Jesus' teachings were done in strict compliance with his Father's instructions.

• John 12:49 . . I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me,
He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

• John 4:34 . . My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of Him who sent me

• John 6:38 . . I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do
the will of Him who sent me.

• John 8:28 . . I do nothing on my own initiative,

• John 8:29 . . I do always those things that please Him.

• John 14:31 . . That the world may know that I love the Father, and as the
Father gave me commandment, even so I do.

Jesus and his Father exemplified solidarity in all that he did.

So then, speaking to the crowds with parables wasn't Jesus' own personal
teaching method, it was his Father's all the way. Had a larger percentage of
the Jews been seriously interested in paying attention to what Jesus had to
say, God likely would've had His son speak without parables as he did with the
disciples.

• Matt 13:11 . . It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Just imagine how incredibly reassuring it would be to have God text a
message to you from Heaven announcing "It has been given to you to
know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven". According to Isaiah, were
God to send out those kinds of texts, they would be only to folks who He
feels are interested enough in Him to reciprocate His interest in them.
