If you are not baptized...you are.

That is what this command means;

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...
lol.. Not the removal of the filth (sin) of the flesh but the answer of a good conscious towards God

Peter compaired water baptism as another type. Just like the flood (which was Gods wrath on the earth) as resembling the true salvation of God. Through the work of God

He even attempted to keep people like you from misrepresenting his word. By saying clearly, it does not remove sin.. But satan has duped people into believing this nonsense.

I’m just a messenger. Reject it if you will. I’m moving on. I’ve been sucked into too many arguments here to care anymore. Now I’m used to the arguments and my senses are dulled to them.

If you change your mind let me know and we can have fellowship.
So people have to agree with you in all things in order for you to accept their salvation as genuine?

Is that what God looks for when He looks on the heart? Does He compare what others believe to what you believe?

smh

My friend, Everyone her that I know of was water baptised. The answer of a Good conscious towards God.

Not to be saved, but out of gratitude we are saved. An open testimony to the world that we have been saved and washed by the blood.

You’re cherry picking single verses again.

Other verses say get water baptized. You’ve read the Bible enough to know better. Shame on you.

Wow you’ve stooped to a low level to ask if I need to be agreed with. Just agree with the Bible or don’t. It’s really that simple. No need to defame the messenger.

1 Peter 3:21 says water baptism
saves you. You’re blind still. That’s a fact. This isn’t personal or mean-spirited. Just trying to wake you up. I think we’re done here.

Dude, I am about done.

I did not cherry pick anything. Jesus commanded everyone to be baptized. I obeyed him

He told us how to be born again. You insist water baptism is required. Jesus did not. If he did, He would have told us, just like I showed you. in all those passages

I am trying to help you. Many people here are..

Answer “Christian”, am I going to hell?
I can not read your mind, Only God can.

I can read your gospel.. and will tell you. By what you are telling me to profess and place my faith in, I would not get to heaven.

Only God can judge you my friend.

John 3 does not say water baptism. Nor dones the parts in john 4 5 and 6 which has to do with recieving eternal life through new birth. Nor does Paul in eph 1 and 2 or titus 3.

You trying to focus on one passage where you have misinterpreted what was said. Does not help you

The phrase “for the forgiveness of sins” here is the same as in Acts 2:38, eis aphesin hamartion.
If you think of eis as into, then Jesus blood was poured out into forgiveness of sins in Matthew 26.
So, being immersed into forgiveness of sins becomes essentially immersed into Jesus’ blood.
Like receiving a medal of honor for bravery. The medal does not GIVE bravery. That part is done.

Bare in mind, Jesus made more disciples and water baptized them all. John water baptized everyone in Judea and Jerusalem. Who knows the exact number, but I believe we’re talking about tens of thousands of people. Probably more.

Some scholars place the population of Jerusalem alone during the time of Jesus at 80,000 people.
Given that Jesus baptized more than John (though actually it was the disciples of Jesus who did the grunt work) Jesus must have talked about water baptism A LOT. Probably over 100,000 people according to some estimates.
Jesus water baptized NOBODY.

I agree with you. I see the CJB version as saying that when we repent we are immersed into forgiveness of sins. Not immersed into water. I also believe metanoia simply means to have a change of mind. So, this essentially says change your mind and you will be immersed into forgiveness of sins. Not something someone has to go do, something that is automatically done to them. Just like we see here:

“In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/59/eph.1.13.ESV

We are sealed in Him, or immersed into him, by the Holy Spirit when we hear the word and believe. I think Acts 2:38 and Ephesians 1:13 say exactly the same thing.
Then you don't believe in repentance either, we must conclude.

No. What you do is twist what jesus said. And make a command, like many commands he gave, essential for salvation. Hence making the work of Christ on the cross as a partial work. And not a complete one. We have to add our own work to the gospel if we want to be saved.

In other words. When jesus said it is finished, he lied. He meant to say I did my part. Now its your turn.

Really?...what is twisted in God's word here: (His world not mine)

Baptism is Required

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

John 3:5 .......Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2;38-....Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Galations 3:26...... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

KJV Marrk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

KJV Matthew 3:14... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15. Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfil all rightesousness. Then He suffered Him.

KJV Matthew 28:19..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.

Acts 8:12-18: But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

John 3; 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance. Scripture makes it clear that it occurs upon obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. Each is a step of faith, along with receiving the Holy Ghost, in the process of one's spiritual rebirth

.."Paul explains the doctrinal significance of what occurs when one is baptized. His explanation is found in his letter to those who had already been obedient to the command.

Paul tells the Roman Christians what actually occurred when they were/are baptized; they were baptized into His death. Being buried with Jesus into His death resulted in their sin being destroyed.

Even though Paul explains this concept, the NEW AGE RELIGION TEACHING is......... that water baptism is nothing other than a mere public display.......... And that is so far removed from the truth.

Keep in mind that Satan knows if he can continue to perpetuate that lie ...... he can keep people from entering the kingdom of God. Thus He has proven scripture which says ...in the end times there will be ...great delusions.....they are here.

Conclusion....teaching that baptism is not necessary is violation of Rev. 22;19.... And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Also two other books of the Bible).

Wrong.
Never mind what Paul said....what did God say?...that is the law; (since you didn't see the above)

Please explain that ? ( I know you wont even try...that will be interesting)

Might you be miss led by a bible that depicts Paul as a god...rather than God being God? It seems so.

You know what is interesting and proves ...new age religion efforts to change scriptures....they never suggest baptism will hurt you. But, that is coming in due time. Just like ...teaching that baptism is not required...is a non biblical teaching since the 1960's. Show me a teaching of significance prior?

Lolol

I already did.

John 3, John 4, John 5, John 6. Eph 1, eph 2. Rom 10, titus 3. Just to mention a few.

Rev 22; 19 is about the book of prophecy or the book of revelations.

Yui baptismal regenerationists make it to easy. Because you twist and distort scripture which is so easy to counter.

Has nothing to do with baptism requirements.
