Laughable if I didn’t think you were being serious. That’s a bit scary you have tricked yourself into not seeing water baptism as a requirement in the Bible.
Laughable?

What is laughable is that you have been given ample time to respond to the question of why Jesus failed to mention baptism when he told us HOW to be born again, or Recieve eternal life, in John 3, 4, 5 and 6. And then you mock me as not being serious.

I am serious bro. If jesus wanted us to know that baptism was required to “never die, but recieve eternal life (be born again) he would have told us in every one of those passages.

I recommend you be serious. And look up the passages I keep showing you. Nd explain to yourself why Jesus did not mention baptism

Jesus said you must be born again as in be born of water and Spirit. I proved that water and Spirit are water baptism and Spiritual rebirth already. I encourage you to pray about that.
NO YOU DID NOT. If anything, I proved to you it was not. Because if it was. Jesus would have said this

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; 15 that whosoever believeth AND IS BAPTISED may in him have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth AND IS BAPTIZED on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He that believeth on him AND IS BAPTISED is not judged: he that believeth not OR HE WHO BELIEVES BUT IS NOT BAPTISED hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God, OR HE BELIEVES BUT REFUSES TO GET BAPTISED

Notice the words that are REQUIRED if you are correct. Are MISSING from the word of God. Hence it is proven

1. Water is not baptism
2. baptism is NOT required.

I haven’t twisted anything. I’ve presented plain and clear verses from the Bible and you’ve rejected them. Oh, what kind of peril do you think I’m in? This should be good.
you do reject the word. You reject that Jesus did not mention baptism when he told nicodemus how to be born again, Did not mention baptism to the lady at the well. Did nt mention baptism when he spoke of he who hears and believes is given new life eternal (born again) did not mention baptism when he spoke to the crowd in John 6. When he told them how to gain new birth and eternal life

Again, Until you show me WHY jesus left it out. Or where it is said and how my bible is flawed because it does nto say it. You have no case

That has absolutely nothing to do with

Not me...God has.
It is His commandment...not mine.
No. What you do is twist what jesus said. And make a command, like many commands he gave, essential for salvation. Hence making the work of Christ on the cross as a partial work. And not a complete one. We have to add our own work to the gospel if we want to be saved.

In other words. When jesus said it is finished, he lied. He meant to say I did my part. Now its your turn.

I gave you post #100 and clearly you rejected it. That’s why I said it’s laughable and you just don’t want to see water baptism in the Bible. Here it is one more time then you’re on your own.

John 3
John 3:5 says you must be born of water and Spirit. Water is used for water baptism which is seen as a burial and resurrection with Christ throughout the New Testament; I was assuming you knew that, but since you don’t study the Bible I am not surprised. See Romans 6.

Romans 6:3,4
3Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.

John 4
Immediately in the next chapter Jesus and His disciples are baptizing people. Jesus had just said in John 3:5 that you must be born of water and Spirit to enter the kingdom and they are baptizing people.

John 4:1
1When Jesus realized that the Pharisees were aware Hea was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John

John 5

If you had actually read the chapter, you would have noticed that Jesus mentioned John the Baptist and his testimony. The testimony of John the Baptist was repent and be baptized and believe in Christ.

John 5:33,34
33You have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. 34Even though I do not accept human testimony, I say these things so that you may be saved.

I don’t see any clear references to water baptism in John 6, but regardless, the entire narrative and context repeatedly mentions water baptism.

That’s why studying is required. You need to study before you have these conversations.

I recommend you be serious. And look up the passages I keep showing you. Nd explain to yourself why Jesus did not mention baptism
I already do take this seriously and proved Jesus spoke about water baptism. I recommend you take this seriously and explain why Jesus mentioned water baptism and water baptized more disciples than John.

I agree with every verse you’ve shown. I just disagree with your words. Your words contradict the Bible.

1 Peter 3:20,21
20who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In the ark a few people, only eight souls, were saved through water. 21And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge off a clear conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Christ wasn’t resurrected Spiritually. Christ was resurrected physically. Therefore the baptism this is talking about is water baptism for a physical resurrection.

Oops you weren’t quoting New Testament verses there, but rather creating a straw man. Your logical fallacy is that if Jesus didn’t mention water baptism everywhere then He didn’t talk about it.

Bare in mind, Jesus made more disciples and water baptized them all. John water baptized everyone in Judea and Jerusalem. Who knows the exact number, but I believe we’re talking about tens of thousands of people. Probably more.

Some scholars place the population of Jerusalem alone during the time of Jesus at 80,000 people. Given that Jesus baptized more than John (though actually it was the disciples of Jesus who did the grunt work) Jesus must have talked about water baptism A LOT. Probably over 100,000 people according to some estimates.

The thing you need to understand about Bible literature is that it doesn’t mention water baptism in every verse like you require.

It doesn’t mention resurrection in every verse either. It doesn’t mention forgiveness of sins in every verse. It doesn’t mention eternal life in every verse. It doesn’t mention many things in every verse. That’s your logical fallacy.

The main thing you need to understand is that water baptism was commanded many times by Jesus and the apostles.

My friend. Post 101 did not prove your point.
John 3

And I thoroughly refuted this post. Showing how you did not look at the aspects f the message of Jesus concerning new birth and eternal life;

Your the one who rejected the actual words of Jesus I mentioned.
I already do take this seriously and proved Jesus spoke about water baptism. I recommend you take this seriously and explain why Jesus mentioned water baptism and water baptized more disciples than John.
If you took this seriously. You would look at the actual verses I have questioned you about. And not picked and chose what you think are the verses.

[quote[
The verses you showed say water baptism is required.

How do they say this when the word baptism is not even mentioned. Not once. I have asked you this question multiple times. Yet you refuse to answer.

I agree with every verse you’ve shown. I just disagree with your words. Your words contradict the Bible.

Thank you. Now if you would actually believe it and turn to christ for salvation and not your pastor.

actually I DID post NT verses I ADDED the word YOU MUST ADD for your WATER BAPTISM GOSPEL TO BE TRUE.

and like you always do. You turn it around and claim I added to the word.

lol. Yeah your right, Jesus told people HOW to be born again. But left out the word baptism. And sent many people away thinking you just had to trust him for salvation and you would never perish and have eternal life

The gospel message is always the same. It never changed, where you do see the word baptism in a few passages. Is not what you think they say.

The Bible must agree.. The message must be the same. The message can not contradict itself by saying this in one part. And something else in another part.

Salvation has been the same since Adam and Eve. Repent, confess and trust God.

Baptism has NEVER been required

Circumcision has NEVER been required.

Both of these symbols of being cleaned or washed. Are symbols of what God does to us at the point of salvation.

Paul calls is the circumcision by the hand of God through the baptism of God in col 2

Paul calls it the washing and regeneration (new birth) of the Holy Spirit in titus 3

you want to try to replace the work of the Holy Sprit with the baptism of your pastor. That my friend would be called blaspheming the spirit

by your logic if a verse doesn’t mention something mentioned above then it wasn’t important to Jesus. You have. Strong anti-water baptism bias, evidenced by your cherry picking of verses and logical fallacies.

Its all about you.

I am trying to help you my friend. I am not here to change your mind however. Only God can do this. I am here to show you how you should not be so hard hearted and seek what others see.

I can change my mind, I have on many things. You just have to answer my questions. You failed to do that. And when it came to the few passages you gave, and when myself and others tried to show you how you misinterpreted them. You never explained how we are wrong.

Your not going to get people to see it your way when you do that.

It doesn’t mention resurrection in every verse either.
It does not have to. However it does mention spiritual ressurection. That that those who were dead are now ressurected to life (new birth)

It doesn’t mention forgiveness of sins in every verse.
Again it does not have to. It is assumed as the person is given eternal life based on their faith and their condemnation is removed..

It doesn’t mention eternal life in every verse.
Actually it does..

It doesn’t mention many things in every verse. That’s your logical fallacy.
Water baptism is a physical act. If it is required. It BETTER be mentioned every time the gospel is given. If it is not. Then it is not required

Spiritual baptism, however is a spiritual act. In every passage I gave you. Spiritual baptism is assumed, because it is an act of God. Not a work of righteous which is required by us in order to recieve the gift of God. Which is new birth ie eternal life

by your logic if a verse doesn’t mention something mentioned above then it wasn’t important to Jesus. You have. Strong anti-water baptism bias, evidenced by your cherry picking of verses and logical fallacies.
Dude, I have no bias at all.

I was baptized. As commanded by God. A year after I was born again, A year after I was baptized BY GOD into Christ, his death and his burial. Where I was raised to eternal life (I was dead in tresspasses and sin, I was then made alive in christ. (Rom 6, 1 cor 12, gal 5, Eph

What I am against is those trying to replace the work of God in spiritual baptism. With the work of physical water baptism for eternal life. When it is NOT required. And it is blaspheming the Holy Spirit by attributing the work he is supposed to do with the work of man.

You want to discuss, I will discuss

NO...you show where the Bible says ...YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BAPTIZED. Then we will talk.

Wow...what a statement.
That takes takes the leftest trophy for the most stupid type statement ever made.

You tell Jesus how to do His job. We see where you are at...He will have to do little to respond.

That's crazy.

This language is totally clear;

Baptism is Required

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

John 3:5 .......Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2;38-....Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Galations 3:26...... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

KJV Marrk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

KJV Matthew 3:14... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15. Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfil all rightesousness. Then He suffered Him.

KJV Matthew 28:19..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.

Acts 8:12-18: But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

John 3; 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance. Scripture makes it clear that it occurs upon obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. Each is a step of faith, along with receiving the Holy Ghost, in the process of one's spiritual rebirth

.."Paul explains the doctrinal significance of what occurs when one is baptized. His explanation is found in his letter to those who had already been obedient to the command.

Paul tells the Roman Christians what actually occurred when they were/are baptized; they were baptized into His death. Being buried with Jesus into His death resulted in their sin being destroyed.

Even though Paul explains this concept, the NEW AGE RELIGION TEACHING is......... that water baptism is nothing other than a mere public display.......... And that is so far removed from the truth.

Keep in mind that Satan knows if he can continue to perpetuate that lie ...... he can keep people from entering the kingdom of God. Thus He has proven scripture which says ...in the end times there will be ...great delusions.....they are here.

Conclusion....teaching that baptism is not necessary is violation of Rev. 22;19.... And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Also two other books of the Bible).

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance.

Lolol

I already did.

John 3, John 4, John 5, John 6. Eph 1, eph 2. Rom 10, titus 3. Just to mention a few.

Rev 22; 19 is about the book of prophecy or the book of revelations.

Yui baptismal regenerationists make it to easy. Because you twist and distort scripture which is so easy to counter.

so by your conclusion I’m blaspheming the Holy Spirit by quoting the Bible’s verses about water baptism being a requirement? Am I going to hell?
If you are placing your FAITH in the work of a pastor or some other person to immerse you in water as a means of saving you. Then you are no different than a jew who was trusting whoever circumcised their flesh as a means of saving them

Paul called that a different gospel.

Now you do with that what you want.

But if you replace the work of God (spirit baptism( with the work of man (water baptism) then you have commited blasphemy of the spirit.

again, Take from that how you want. God will be judge

Study scriptures...that is not what He mean at all. (respect for Jesus commands that His name Be Jesus...not jesus...you seem to go out of your way not to give Him Glory))
I study scripture my friend]

Jesus said to be baptised. I WAS

Jesus said to love your neighbor and God. I DO

Jesus said to give to the poor I DO

Jesus said go and make disciples. And baptise THEM - I have and still walk at that

The bible says all kinds of commands. Which are works of righteousness.

NON OF THEM SAVE US, and NON OF THEM ARE PART OF THE SALVATION PROCESS

Paul said NOT by WORK of RIGHTEOUSNESS which WE HAVE DONE (water baptism is a work of righteousness, which I did almost 4 decades ago) but BY HIS MERCY, HE SAVED ME

yet another strawman. Saying we deny working. When we do not. We all believe in baptism, and have done it. JUST NOT TO SAVE US.
