I wonder what it would be like to wake up one morning, turn on the news and see these nations preparing to go against Israel. what would you do?
Pray. God's plan unfolds as he wills. He predestined this before we came to exist.
If this is what he told us is planned amid Gog and Maggog, so be it.

What would you do?

He's using the terms of warfare he knew at the time. Did you really think he knew what a tank was or a missle? The fuel for the weapons could be used. If you're talking about nuclear weapons, the fuel could be used for years.
He is using specific terms describing specific animals and wepons.. If he had a vision of modern weapons he might have used terms like mental beasts that kill with fire and brinsone from their tails.. Or something similar..

He called the countries by the names they were known at his time. He used words to best describe things he did not clearly understand. How would someone in his time describe a missle?

I think you will find that the nations mentioned in Ez. 38 are now more located in Turkey and the surrounding Islamic countries.

GOD speaking of Gog/ Magog (Russia) " I will capture vast amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now." Ezekiel 38:12. Notice Maggo is not going to take the land, but to plunder it. Russia (Magog) is going broke in this war with Ukraine. Turkey and Iran are promising support for Russia. I see this as a step in that direction.

And also Ezekiel 39:6 "And I will rain down fire on Magog and on all your allies who live safely on the coasts. Then they will know that I am the LORD. ". live safely? Think Homeland security. ....."on the coast" also means a distance land. Could that be America?
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has no Biblical significance.
We are being lied to by our media. As usual.
There has been a civil war in Ukraine since 2014. Certain factions of certain regions wanted to return to Russia.
This is all about money And power for sure, but that money and power has to do with NATO and Russian pipelines that feed oil and natural gas into Europe, and American tampering with Ukrainian government.

Yes He does name nations::

Ezekiel 38: 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;

Now ask yourself Where is Egypt? Where is Sinar ( Iraq ) or where is Syria? Lebanon?? The nations he describes are the nations Outside the millenial kingdom. The land promised to Abraham by The LORD when he first promised them that land was far bigger then the small confines of Biblical Israel during the times of David and Saul..

Genesis 15: 17 And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. 18 On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying:“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates..

So God has promised the descendants of Abraham will have a Land that includes the Nile and the Euphrates. Now Persia borders the land of the Euphrates to the east and Libya borders the land of the Nile to the west and Ethiopia borders the land of the Nile to the south. Now when is God going to give the decendants of Abraham these lands? When Jesus returns. And the 144000 of the 12 tribes are given it..

Turkey is not helping Russia. Turkey is a NATO member. NATO exists to defend against potential Russian aggression. If and when Turkey leaves, or gets thrown out of NATO, Turkey may move closer to Russia. Right now, that is not the case.
How about now?

I don't bother with last days speculation. We will find out soon enough. However, when people make statements that are incorrect, such as Turkey supporting Russia, I will point that out.
What about when they make correct statements like Russia and Turkey are both threatening to fight Israel. Will you point that out?

Sure, when people make correct statements, I will agree. Iran (Persia) is specifically mentioned as a nation that will invade Israel. No one knows for sure who Gog and Magog are. I've heard Turkey, Germany and Russia as possibilities. We will find out. Erdogan is a yo-yo on Israel and Russia for that matter. Threats are not action.

Ezekiel 38: 10 & 11
"This is what the Lord GOD says: On that day, thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil plan. You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will come against a tranquil people who dwell securely, all of them living without walls or bars or gates—"

If this referring to the last days attack on Israel (which I believe it is), then Israel will be living in a false sense of security. That is not the case now. The Abraham accords are a step in that direction, but there is a long way to go before Israel thinks it can relax.

The only place on earth that this could be referring to today is the USA, which is where half of the world's Jews live with the other half living in Israel. The Old Testament describes Israel being divided into a northern kingdom and the southern kingdom called "Judah".

One possible interpretation is that Ezekiel 38 refers to the US and Psalm 83 refers to what we are seeing now in Israel.

Turkey has shown little, if any, support for Russia. Turkey has refused to sell their most effective drones to Russia. Russia asked Turkey to start manufacturing in Russia, also refused. Turkey has prevented Russian warships from going through the Bosporus straits, not exactly a supportive measure.
Things can change virtually overnight and the birth pangs seem to be getting stronger and closer together.

Ezekiel 38 prophecies concerning an attack on Israel and an attack on the US

Ezekiel 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

"In the latter years" indicates this prophecy is for the end of the age. The land that is brought back from the sword, that cannot refer to the US, we were never "brought back from the sword" however, it would be very appropriate for Israel. "Which have always been waste" again that could not refer to the US, but would certainly refer to Israel which had been intentionally deforested. "Brought forth out of the nations" that again would be very appropriate for the Jews that returned to Israel.

9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

This refers to an attack on Israel.

10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

This is referring to something else.

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

That cannot refer to Israel, they are walled, they are not at rest being attacked continuously, they don't dwell safely, and they do dwell with walls, bars and gates. This is a reference to the US. We know this because today there are basically two places where almost all Jews live (98%), either Israel or the US. If you have to choose between these two this word is clearly talking about the US.

12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

The US is also composed of people who were gathered out of the nations. Almost no other nation is like the US in this regard.

13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

To take great spoil? This must be a rich country. Not only so but they are rich in cattle. The United states has 89,000,000 head of cattle. They have 9 1/2 % of the cattle in the world. Israel has 115,000 head of cattle, or 0.01% of the world's cattle. This prophecy cannot possibly be referring to Israel.
