How much detail?
There isn't much point in me posting the biography & writings of Johannes Kepler, Sir Isaac Newton or Cpt James Cook
when you can look them up yourself. Or of posting the famous Earthrise photo. If some FE guru has convinced you the
purpose of all science & exploration has been to hide the true shape of the Earth, it's worth nothing to you anyway.

The pioneering work of previous generations is a rich heritage. A heritage that is in this generation, under constant attack
by the likes of BLM activists & other cultural Marxists. Now we have an earthshape faction making revisions.
There is a severe lack of respect for our elders (as the adage goes) in play.
I was asking you to explain more specifically the "utter disrespect shown for our own Christian heritage" statement.

I am now guessing that you are referring to "disregard" for anything-and-everything (your POV) that historical Christian 'science' folks have postulated...?

Anything & everything? No. Just basic principles that have been tested & proved repeatedly.
The earth has been explored & discovered. God told Adam & Eve to do so. It's a stunning creation. Look at it.

Yes - I wish someone would!

(Someone I could trust to do it very honestly. And, I would probably want them to do a few other things while they were at it...)
How would this help? I hesitate to use the heavenly bodies to try to prove the shape of the Earth, simply because we don't fully understand the heavenly bodies. It is quite certain that the curvature on Earth cannot be measured on Earth. I see the use of the heavenly bodies to try to demonstrate this fact as dangerous to obtaining the truth, in that a misunderstanding of the motion of the heavenly bodies may yield an incorrect conclusion on Earth's shape. Sort of like measuring distance with a snake - why use a snake when one can use a ruler?

If flat earthers would simply study VOR communication. Its the system pilots use to navigate. Curvature of the Earth is one of factors taken into consideration when making a flight plan.

There was a man who tried to prove the earth was flat by travelling to the edge. In the end, he came around.

The earth in 3 or 4 dimensions is an oblate spheroid. Depending on what plane you measure it may or may not be round.

In lower or higher dimensions we need different words.
In the world of astronomy, i.e., people that study planets and stars. These people devote their entire academic life to astronomy.

They are the experts on the shapes of the solar planets and moons. Ask them if the planets that orbit the sun are flat or spherical.

Better still, find out what percentage of astronomers are flat earthers.

The post you quoted really came about as the result of a mixture of thoughts along these lines:

~ "Hey, I'm an honest man. Go for it! If it is done honestly and correctly, we should have some good data points to examine..."

~ "Hey, it would be cool if I could get a trustworthy someone in Australia to perform some experiments or record some data..."

~ "Hey, it's high time that some Ball Earth folks actually [personally] do some real science for a change - get after it, already..."

I thought it was in response to the below.

They could also resolve the issue by having someone in Australia, Southern Africa, or Southern South America take dawn, noon, and sunset photos of the same location on a sunny day. The photos would show the Northward shadows in morning and evening, and Southward during the day.
But I'm not sure the above would help. I think that's the reason the globalists had to put the distance to the sun at practically infinity. The trignometry just didn't make sense, so they kept extending the distance until the numbers were so overwhelming, arguments against Ball Earth theory now are essentially "that's not how it works at such a large scale". Same as with magic gravity keeping the seas in the ocean, without them being ejected into space. Doesn't work on a tennis ball, because the tennis ball is so small. But enlarge it enough times, and the physics magically changes. That's why it's magic gravity.

I think there are some things about the heavens which aren't understood by either theory.

I definitely think there are some things that aren't understood by you.

These include my proposal, centrifugal force, gravity, measurements of the sun's distance from the earth... and some aspects of English grammar.

How many people have actually seen planet earth with their own eyes. I believe it is round because that is what I've been told. Some things we just have to believe without seeing or take somebodies else's word for it. Kind of like faith, we believe Jesus rose from the dead because The Bible tells us that. We haven't seen it, but we believe it. John 20:29 Blessed are Those who have not seen and yet believe

I haven't seen the curvature of the Earth, and there is no reason to believe in this, other than everyone else does, which is not a good reason. Belief in a ball-Earth is not supported by true science.
