I am 100% sure that Jesus was trying to teach us a lot with His words and actions.
The parables especially are Timeless because a man from 2000 years ago, and 3000 years from now can still relate to things in nature for which Jesus used many parables from.

Ahh I see now. So you‘re confusing parables with technical descriptions maybe?
For example : The Earth was created in 6 days. I don’t believe that.

Jesus will come again - 100% believe that without any doubt.

How will He come and What are the technical details? - My answer to that is mostly “I’m not sure and that’s not important to me”

I’d also like to add that parables are meant to teach us a Moral lesson.

Jesus used many things in nature which anybody at any time can relate, such as trees, seeds, wind, earth, salt and many animal references such as sheep, wolves, snakes, birds to Teach us a lesson.

You don’t dissect each word for literal meaning, but you get the essence of the parable to guide you in life when you encounter technical choices and details.

I do not eitheras 1 day with the Lord is a 1000 years with man. I do not thank the first 6 days were 24 hr days. I also thank there was an earth age before this one we live in now. I believe this earth (not this earth age) but the earth the planet the 3rd one from our sun is 1,000,000's of years old.

If Jesus interprets something should we try and change it to fit what we believe.

Revelation 1

12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

What are the 7 golden candlesticks, and the 7 stars and the sharp 2 edged sword?

Revelation 1:20

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Ephesians 6:16

and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

For me this is very hard. Once He said to me "remember when Daniel prayed". Now before this time I would have a easy answer for you but since that moment? Well I can't explain how He took those four words .....well they just like exploded. He said so much yet just four words. Never saying anything else.. I can't explain it. So you can think you know and then you read the same thing and He shows you something with in that was always there and He can do this forever.

I don't believe I answered you lol

Parables are stories that teach lessons.

2 Timothy 3:16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

they are teachings about the kingdom of God

“And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:1-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he’s teaching us the truth or “ gospel “ about his kingdom that no one had ever known about

Jesus teaching in oarables is fulfillment of prophecy

Give ear, O my people, to my law: Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭78:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

dark sayings means hidden sayings as you see here when it’s fulfilled in the gospel

“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s what Jesus was doing and why he kept saying “believe me trust me hear my word and you’ll be saved I’m the one God sent to speak his word “

Not only are they teachings they are Gods own teachkngs sent to mankind of all nations look for the message and. Ot so much as if he’s literally speaking according to earthly thkngs he’s using examples of things we understand to give us a message of things we had never understood

th is was going to happen

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and this would be the result
“But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:16-23‬ ‭

to begin actually hearing the parables of Jesus is how we begin to actually understand the apostles writings the gospel is where all thier explainations come from

I wonder what Jesus was teaching in the following parable?

Mark 2:21-22
“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise, the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear results. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.

Hmmm?

Mark 2:22
“And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.”

When we are born again, we become new vessels (bottles) that the Holy Spirit (Wine) may dwell in.

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Why did Jesus speak in Parables? Jesus gives us the answer Himself so we have no reason to wounder or question them.

The Purpose of Jesus’ Parables
(Isaiah 6:1–13; Mark 4:10–12; Luke 8:9–10)

10Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Why do You speak to the people in parables?”

11He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:

‘Though seeing, they do not see;

though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’b

14In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled:

‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

15For this people’s heart has grown callous;

they hardly hear with their ears,

and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their hearts,

and turn, and I would heal them.’c

16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

Parable #1The Parable of the Sower
(Mark 4:1–9; Luke 8:4–8)

1That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, while all the people stood on the shore.

3And He told them many things in parables, saying, “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

5Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. 6But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings.

8Still other seed fell on good soil and produced a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.

9He who has ears, let him hear.”

Do you have an ear to hear what Jesus has to say?

A farmer: A christian, a church, ect go out to spread the word. The seed fell on the path, it is hard ground. It had not been broken up and it leaves opportunity for the devil to swoop in and steal the word away before it even has a chance to take hold.

Some of the seed that those christians sowed fell on rocky ground. These people receive the word; they get saved they joyfully except Jesus and then something happens. They don't have deep roots. The church did not prepare the ground, they did not take the time to train them, feed them, teach them how to feed themselves. The sun comes up; the trials come and they do not have the strength to with stand and they fall away, they backslide. Other seed falls in the weeds and they get chocked out. Did these people ever really get saved I am no sure, What is for sure is that again the church the body of believers that planted the seed did not do there preparation they did not help get the ground ready, they did dot help the people learn to study ect; Does that mean that every seed we plant will grow no, does that mean that in every case the people, the church ect. are at fault or did not put in the work NO! Does that mean that the people that did sprout got saved yes. Did they fall away yes. Are they still saved? NO!

Then we have the seed that fell into the good soil, the soil was ready, they were ready, as always God was ready and the church was ready. Some produced 30 fold, 60 fold, and others 100 fold. Just because one produces a 100 fold and one 30 fold does not make them unequal. It means there talents are different. What Jesus wants is each of us to live up to the gifts He has given us.

What do we learn all who call upon the name of the Lord are saved, Just because someone says I am saved and born again does not mean they are; they have to produce fruit. Not everyone that says Lord, Lord will be saves.
