John Ten

I AM The Good Shepherd

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

The Opposition At The Feast Of Dedication In Jerusalem

22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30 I and my Father are one.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

42 And many believed on him there.

They're "one", as in united in purpose, but they're not the same person.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1, 14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

in other words

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s Jesus. He is God making himself known to anyone who will receive the gospel and believe.

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the true God the father , son and Holy Ghost in one being

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭

that’s why when Jesus said this

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

they went forth and did this

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s one name because father son and Holy Ghost make one God Jesus Christ our Lord.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭

God has become for us what we needed to be saved and redeemed and given life Jesus is the fulfillment of those promises he made of coming and revealing himself in the flesh the gospel is the record of when God did this became a man lives and died as one of us , rose from death and reformed to his glory of creation.

He did it to create children for eternity a family made after the image of Jesus our lord the son of God is why we are children of the father

“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Jesus we see what God has done to save us and who he is calling us to be we now have a perfect high priest and intercessor resulting from God becoming flesh to save us

“Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:15-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

no man could save mankind none was perfect without sin , so he became a man endured trials and temptations like man does , never sinned in order hat now he can always intercede on our behalf . thats our God he saw us lost without hope and came to save us rather than leave us behind or destroy us

God is the father , son and holy ghost in one he always has been.

sometimes he was only speaking from heaven before he became flesh then he spoke among us ,face to face , then He returned to glory and sent his own spirit to live in us. Having provided the one perfect intercessor who can save an imperfect man. and who is holy and not corrupt dwelling above the heavens now his nAmehas been declared it’s Jesus the gospel is the good news that God has come and saved us who believe

“Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:10-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

fulfillment of that os Jesus Christ

“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he is God the father , the son God made flesh , and the holy ghost in one person. To say he’s not the same person isn’t to understand God has shown us himself in Jesus he was hidden before behind the cloud and flame , now he has stepped forth and said this is I

John 17: 11 Holy Father, keep through thine own name (baptism in the name of the Father) those whom thou hast given me (the Father chooses), that they may be one, as we are one ( " one " does not mean "the same as" or "equal to" because we will never be equal to them when we become one with the Father and Son) .
John 17: 21 That they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. This verse explains " Oneness". The Father and Christ are Spirits. Spirits inhabit hosts which may be other spirits or animals such as humans. The Father communicates and empowers through His Holy Spirit. Jesus was "one" with the Father because He was filled with the Father's Spirit. It was the Father's Spirit that communicated to Jesus what to say and do. Jesus was "one" with the Father because the Father was able to express Himself through Jesus by His Holy Spirit. Those humans that are baptized in the name of the Father are granted the repentance necessary to turn to Him for forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ (baptism in the name of the Son). After Christ died and rose and before He ascended into the clouds, He told His apostles to wait in Jerusalem because He was going back to Heaven to get glorified by the Father and then He was going to send the Comforter (Holy Spirit). What happened was that because Christ was sinless and allowed himself to die, in the Father's kingdom of perfect justice and mercy, life is owed to Christ which He gives to those chosen by the Father throughout human history. The Father glorified His Son by giving Him a Spiritual body made up of the spirits of humans which are sealed with His Holy Spirit.
The Bible says that Christ and the Holy Spirit proceedeth out of the Father. This means that both Christ and the Holy Spirit are
in the Father and the Father is in them.
John 17: 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even( that is) as we are one; The glory which the Father gave Jesus to build His spiritual body is the Father's Holy Spirit which He gives to Jesus to distribute to those that the Father predestined. When a person is born again, he receives the Spirit of the Father and the Son and therefore They are in him. Because we are part of the Spiritual body of Christ, we are in Christ who is in the Father.
John 17: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. We are made perfect when Baptized in the name of the Holy Spirit because because we receive in our hearts the same divine love that is shared by the Father and the Son. In summary:

Baptism in the Name of the Father: The Father grants repentance to those predestined to salvation and they turn to Him for forgiveness.
Baptism in the Name of the Son: The repentant sinner puts his faith and trust in the Father's plan for the remission of sins through Jesus Christ and declares Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Baptism in the Name of the Holy Spirit: Through the Spirit of the Father and Son in us, we become "one" with them and are filled with divine love so that we can be perfected by obeying the Spirit of the Law which is to have every thought and action motivated by love.

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-19‬ ‭

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJ

no one in scripture is ever baptized in any name but Jesus Christ our lord. The name is Jesus in him is the fulness of God the Father , son and holy ghost. There is no other name there aren’t three names there is one name for all three aspects of God.

“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:10-11‬

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you won’t find any record in the New Testament of a ot one being baptized in any other name but Jesus, that’s the name of the father son and holy ghost manifest in one is the true God. And his name is Jesus the Christ

“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful , Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it……; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:5, 9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He came into the world and many didn’t recognize him even israel rejected him as a blasphemer

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭

Jesus is the creator of all things God was “manifest in the flesh “ in other words he was born as a male child in the flesh and blood and walked among as one of us , and at his baptism he was then the manifest fulness of God the father , son and holy ghost walking among us and speaking salvstion and revealing his name to earth

Jesus is the name of the father son and Holy Ghost in one being the fulness nd complete image of God is Jesus Christ forever

"Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake." John 14:8-11

They're "one", as in united in purpose, but they're not the same person.
Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

According to you They are not the same person.

Thank you. I have posted this text, Scripture, at least a dozen times. God bless you, and I hope someone understands when they read it, or at least believe God on the subject.

They're "one", as in united in purpose, but they're not the same person.
It goes without saying the Father and the Son are one in purpose but John 10:30 is teaching the fact that the Father and the Son are one in nature/essence. Jesus has just said that the sheep are equally safe in His hand and in His Father's hand. The power of the Son is equal to that of the Father.

Jesus asserted the essential unity of the Father and the Son in the word "one" (hen). It is a neuter number to indicate equality of essence, attributes, design, will and work. Jesus distinguishes the "I" from the "Father" and uses the plural verb "are" denoting "we are." In other words the verse literally reads, "I and the Father WE are one." These words separate the persons of the Godhead, but "one" asserts their unity of essence or nature as identical.

The reason this is true is based on the following verses and the reaction of the Jews. Vs31, "The Jews took up stones again to stone Him." Why? Vs32, "Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" Vs33, "The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You , but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man make Yourself out God." A person is not stoned or committing blasphemy for simply being one in purpose.

At vs34 Jesus is being His own commentator, how? He brings up Psalm 82:6 which is about "god," not one in purpose. From verses 35 through 38 I'm going to leave open ended and ask what point was Jesus trying to make in this exchange by Him bringing up Psalm 82:6?

IN GOD THE SON,

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

…saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.

And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.

I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:12-13, 16, 20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

According to you They are not the same person.

If you think that a father and his son are the same person, then you're literally out of your mind.

Here is why Jesus is referred to as "the everlasting Father":

John chapter 5

[19] Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
[20] For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

Again:

John chapter 14

[8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
[9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
[10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
[11] Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

During his incarnation, Jesus only did the works that he saw his Father do, and he only spoke the words that he heard his Father speak. As the author of the epistle to the Hebrews rightly noted, Jesus is "the express image of his person" (Heb. 1:3), with the "his" being the Father in heaven.

With such being the case, to see or to hear Jesus is to see or to hear the Father.

Again, if you believe that a Father and his son are the same person, then go and get your head examined.

Seriously, you're out of your mind.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Whose point are you trying to prove?

Mine or yours?

You've only proven mine.

The Word was WITH GOD, and the Word WAS GOD.

There are clearly two different persons (for lack of a better word) being identified as "God" here.

Do you deny the Triune Godhead?

Seemingly, you do.

If so, then the entire Bible testifies against you, starting with Genesis 1:1 in which "God" is introduced in the PLURAL as "elohim".
