Romans Chapter 2

God has told us in the first chapter that I have created earth in a natural way and if you just look at nature you can see God's way. God is not only natural He is Supernatural.

Verse 1. Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Everyone brakes a low every now and again it may not be the same law every time and it may not the same low someone else brakes. You want to be very careful for non of us are perfect we all slip up one way or another. Our father is the judge; He does not want you to be judging people. I do not want you to thank that I am saying to do away with spiritual discernment, that is a gift from God to discern what is right from wrong, what is of God and what is of man. That discernment does not give you the right to judge people. God can handle that He does not need our help.

Verse 2. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Gods judgment is and will always be perfect, mans judgment on the other had is less than perfect. His judgment is against those that brake his laws. I should not have to add this but I will. We have rules of law in my state That may differ from another, and laws in our country that may differ from others. We have to fallow them and if broken; we may be called to judge someone That is different. This also does not mean that if you know someone that is braking either God's or man's laws you confront them with it, in the right way go to them alone pull them to the side and point it out. If someones teaching does not line up with the bible point it out from God's word tell them why you thank it is wrong; maybe there was a misunderstanding. You get what I am trying to say. There is a difference between telling and showing someone what they are doing is wrong and judging them.

Verse 3. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Paul is saying, do you think that you are going to get away with it when you judge another, for that sin is placed back on you? If you do find pleasure in judging others, there is a sad awaking ahead for you.

If that person has repented of every sin that he or she has ever committed, then you had better not accuse that person of anything, or God will put that sin you accused him or her of, right back on you. God is saying that if you judge someone, and you bring that judgment on them, God will judge you for the same thing. You have no rights to judge anyone for sin, God alone is the judge of men and women on all matters. This is just common sense, and it is letting what is natural flow on itself.

Help then if you can by teaching the truth, but don't point fingers. If a man hate God's Word, then let him die in the natural way, even if it be in their spiritual death. No man can escape the judgment of God, and this judgment of God will be that person's rewards. Remember, upon repentance to the Father in Jesus name we are made perfect in the eyes of God.

Verse 4. Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Our Father “God” is long suffering, that is why you want to leave judgment to Him. You can read that in 2 Peter 3:7&8 That God is long suffering and wishes none to parish; that is not going to happen but that is what His wish is. He will correct a little here and there, thump a head or 2, or in my case use a jack hammer. He does not do it in some supernatural way like He did with Paul(I am not saying He couldn't) He works in a more natural way. He let me get myself to a point I turned back to Him. He let me push myself to the brink and then through me a lifeline and I took hold of that thing ad I am still hanging on for dear life. I do not thank anything or anyone will knock me down like that again. We serve a wonderful God.

Verse 5. But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

When you breakaway from God and you do not repent that is the way it is going to be. The treasures you lay up to that day of wrath; That wrath is going to come. There is the other side of the coin you save up your Good works and on that Day of Judgment you will be reworded with the crown and a long white rob and the words of praise “well done My good and faithful servant; inter in the rest of Your Master” Make no mistake about it His wrath is coming and in good measure. The 7 bowls will be poured out upon the earth. You do not one one of them poured out on you. It is so simple the love of Jesus Christ who of His own free will gave up His life for us that upon repentance of sin we get washed clean and our sins of the past(Romans 3:25) . If you judge people,if you keep after people, you bring nothing but the wrath of God down on your own head. You might be saying to yourself I m a child of God, not so if you are judging people. You are a pretender.

Verse 6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Listen to just how kind and fair God is; Who will render to every man according to his deeds, his families deed, his coworkers deeds. NO! Only to his deeds and his deeds only. God judges you by your own actions and you will get everything you got coming to you. If it is blessings and rewords you can bet you are going to get it. If it is correction; then correction you will get. Your own deeds set your sentence this is why Christianity is not a religion, it is a reality, a way of life. Upon repentance because of the blood of Jesus those sins that you have committed are washed away. I just mentioned Romans 3:25 I am going to give it to you as we wrap up this part of the bible study.

3:25: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

God Bless you

I look forward to what you have to say.

Verses 7- 16 coming next if they all fit.

Paul also said, in 1 Corinthians 2:15

:)
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you;

good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s his judgement 🙂

it’s what Paul’s getting at also

“Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. ( sinners judging sinners )

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:1, 3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s the perfect law of liberty

“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Remission of sins means God throws them completely out never to be remembered against us

but because of Christs law of mercy , if we hold grudges we’re binding our own self to sin because we are trying to bond another to thier sin Christ died for the one who offended me too. So I’m bound by the blood on the cross shed for them to Forgive them just as the blood is form me it’s for the one who sins against me

not judging one another is very important otherwise we end up like the law just peering at everyone’s sin and forgetting ours which we need to repent of

if we are merciful , if we forgive , if we don’t try to exclude and condemn others who believe if we realize we all were sinners and sin is sin to God anyone who sinned once is a sinner.

mercy is the way because we have his word telling us forgive and you shall be , don’t judge and you won’t be , don’t condemn and you won’t be

Paul’s preaching the gospel the law of liberty. It’s through the mercy of Christ that we change and the gospel is our everlasting judgement it’s why it’s so important to all people

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One day we are going to stand before Jesus when we do we want the rewards of mercy , forgiveness , no condemnation that the gospel promises and his word is certain

because none of us are perfect we all need to become merciful

Romans Chapter 2 Verse 6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

God judges you by your own actions and ~you will get everything you got coming to you.~
Hello Thewatchman, Romans 1:18-3:20 is the Apostle Paul's great treatise concerning all who are "outside" of Christ, be they Jew or Gentile.

PTL that the statement above is not true of believers (all who God has caused to be "born again", and who are now, therefore, "in Christ"), because rather than getting "everything that we've got coming to us", we receive mercy, yes (and it's the Lord Jesus who ends up getting what we deserve instead).

This may seem an odd bloke to quote I suppose, but here are some thoughts from U2's Bono (he is a Christian), an excerpt from an interview that he gave about a decade ago, or so, that touches on this very topic.

The thing that keeps me on my knees is the difference between Grace and Karma.
You see, at the center of all religions is the idea of Karma. You know, what you put out comes back to you: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, or in physics—in physical laws—every action is met by an equal or an opposite one.
It's clear to me that Karma is at the very heart of the universe. I'm absolutely sure of it.
And yet, along comes this idea called Grace to upend all that “as you reap, so you will sow” stuff. Grace defies reason and logic. Love interrupts, if you like, the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I've done a lot of stupid stuff.
~Bono

God bless you!!

It is easy to pull a verse out of the bible and through it out there to try and disprove what God said or to try and disprove what I posted if that is your thing go for it but just remember you and I are not the only one reading this. If you have questions, if you disagree I am more than willing to discuss it.

6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

How is it that we can speak wisdom among them that are perfect? Answer: We can't no one is perfect; except for God. Who is the we here? It is Paul and those that are with him, and those today that know and speak the truth of God that Paul spoke of and taught. The wisdom spoke of here is not the wisdom of the world. Nor the wisdom of the princes of this world: Who are the princes of this world? Ho is the Prince of this world? Satan. So the princes (small p) of this world are those that serve Satan his children and it is their wisdom that comes to nothing.

7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

But we speak the wisdom of God: That is Paul those that are with him, those of his time and ours and till Jesus returns that hold to the teaching of God given to us by Paul. It is a hidden wisdom. Who is it hidden from those that do not know and follow The Living God who gives the spirit of wisdom and understanding. [Proverbs 8:22&23: The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.]

8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

It was not the people that Loved and followed Jesus that put him on the cross. It was the princes of this world.

9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

We that love and serve God do not fully understand what God has in store for us. Even with the Holy Spirit living within us we only see dimly.

10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

The more we study, the more The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to the deeper things of God the clearer things become. We will not gain full understanding until we are with Him.

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

We have an idea of what someone is thanking, feeling, when you talk to them but we do not completely understand. Only that person's spirit knows. Lets stop just for a moment. You do understand that every person upon conception has a spirit. God makes each one of us different (don't bring up identical twins) He wanted you He has a purposes for you IF you will listen to Him. Even with this no man has full understanding only The Spirit of God that is the Holy Spirit has complete understanding. (How do you thank John wrote Revelation)

12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

We true Christians don't give into the spirit of the world we do not follow that spirit. We choose to except The Holy Spirit The Spirit of God so that we might know the things freely given to us by God. Remember we are all the body of Christ; but we do not all have the same gifts, we do not all do the same things. The arm could not grab anything with out the palm and the palm would not be any good with out the fingers that could not get from the chair to the table to feed itself without to feet and legs. We are all one body many different parts.

13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We should not speak the wisdom of man; This includes mans doctrine that makes void the word of God. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. This is mans wisdom not Gods. God wisdom Comes form His word which He said will never leave us wanting for He has foretold us all things. We do not mix the things of God with the things of man or the world.

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The natural man. Man without the Holy Spirit of God working in him. He can not understand the things of God. They just do not make any sense to him. They can not because he is spiritually blind. He does not have eye to see and ears to hear. Fat to many church goers are tat way today.

Which brings us to your verse

15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

This word Judeth right here as a different meaning according to the Greek dictionary than any other place in the new testament. #350 To scrutinize by implication, investigate, determine, ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search

16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

We do not have or know the mind of God so we can not instruct Him. What we do have is the mind of Christ and we are to use it to determine, investigate, question and even judge NOT MAN but the teaching, the doctrine to make sure that it lines up with the Word of God so that we do not get led astray by the traditions of men THAT MAKE VOID THE WORD OF GOD.

Question is are you judging my teaching in Romans? Are you trying to ask a heart felt question? Or are just trying to be a disrupter and play the got you game.

Romans Chapter 2

God has told us in the first chapter that I have created earth in a natural way and if you just look at nature you can see God's way. God is not only natural He is Supernatural.

2 Thessalonians 3 : 6, 14, 15

2 Thessalonians 3 : 6, 14, 15
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you;

good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

What full teaching am I not understanding, and what assumptions and false accusations am I making. 1st Corinthians is not saying it is OK for us to judge people. That was my whole point. Please tell me what I am missing. I know I am old kinda 68 but I have lost a steep or 2 upstairs. If I did not understand something I am sorry. I took what you said as everything that I posted about romans was wrong and we can judge people based on the one verse you gave me.

What is your interpretation of God's judgement on the wicked in Psalms 73:5?
This was written from the point of flesh man stand on the outside looking in; he is getting to see everything going on and it seams as if the dirty politicians, the drug dealers, the lenders of money with there high entrust rates are the ones coming out on top. It looks like things in our world today. What they do not see and understand is that God is going to come out on top.
