Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to lead His followers/disciples/apostles to 'ALL TRUTH'! John 16: "But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth."

So my point is, " With so many disagreements/arguments/perspectives on every major element of Scripture, Old and New Testament (OSAS/Baptism/Rapture/Works/faith/salvation/real presence.......etc/etc......., there are obiously many that mistakingly think that they are being lead by the Spirit, but, they can't be because there are not multiple truths which oppose each other. Some are just incorrect/lies

The Spirit was sent to lead us to ALL TRUTH, not the differing truths that we blindly/vehemently cling to. How can we tell which of us has the Spirit, THE SPIRIT OF ALL TRUTH?
I really appreciate this question from you brother... it's very relevant to me.
The Lord has been showing me a lot since I've given my life to Him... and it's humbled me so much.
But I've yet a lot to learn about just being humble, lol.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to presume that the "All" in this verse is a quantitative "all". Meaning that God is not going
to give us all there is to know about all there is in the universe. That's way too much data for a human being to hold
in our little brains, right? God knows all, and that's good enough for me.
Perhaps when we come to Glory, He might reveal All... maybe, IDK.

It never ceases to amaze me how people... good, well-meaning brothers and sisters in Christ, think that there's a
specific, right/correct answer for everything in the Bible. Bless their hearts, they try hard to know and diligently seek
the Scriptures for answers... nothing wrong with that! Good on them.
But you're right, I think, in saying that there are so many opposing views, on so many subjects... they all can't be correct.
And then to argue and squabble about how they alone have attained a truth that can only be held by our most Perfect Father!!
LOL, yeah... I don't think so. The notion that I'll ever be or have some Perfect understanding... of anything... is gone now.
Who am I to argue with God when He says "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Romans 12:2 (ESV)

However, I do believe that while there can't be multiple Truths... there can be multiple and correct views/aspects of God's
Truth. That is, I can see one aspect of God's Truth while you see another and completely accurate aspect of the same Truth.
They don't really oppose each other; we just apply them to our own unique selves. Either way, God gets the Glory.

I think the "all" in this Scripture, is talking about All the knowledge that is required for us to do God's Will, which is predominately
Believe on Jesus' finished work. After that, then to work out our Salvation with fear and trembling.

In John 16:12-13, Jesus was talking to his apostles. This is clear from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (Matthew 26:20; Mark 14:17; Luke 22:14; John 13:18).

So when He says, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;" He was talking to the 12 (11 if you don't count Judas). The Holy Spirit did guide them into all truth and they recorded it in the books of the New Testament. All truth is there, we don't need any other sources. The Holy Spirit still guides us today but He does so by helping us understand God's inspired word.

I don't worry about who has the spirit of all truth. When you compare false teaching with the teaching of the the Bible it's pretty easy to tell who doesn't have the spirit of truth.

Since the Holy Spirit fell on everyone gathered in the upper room as recorded in Acts, it is apparent that the Holy Spirit is for all of us and while Jesus was speaking directly to His Apostles as He was still on earth, there is no indication He meant those words only for those physically present.

Interestingly, it was none of those present for those words that wrote so much of the New Testament

Whatever. Like I said, it's fairly easy to see those who don't have the spirit of truth.

brother receiving the spirit doesn’t mean now we understand all things the same as everyone else for us to come to the same understanding we still have to hear the word of God after we come to the church we’re supposed to do this

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it isn’t a mystic thing we don’t receive a magical spirit that all the sudden takes us over and instantly changes us to sinless perfect fully understanding people

the church is a lot of broken people looking for healing in Christ land thheyball are at different points in this thing when you were sixteen what you thought you knew for sure out Jesus and the gospel will not be what you believe when your seventy about Jesus and the gospel because with time we learn and grow and change and that changes us

when Christina get together they are definately going to see some things differently but the thing is we need to understand one guy doesn’t know everything he just knows his part and the others so know their part when we come together in the right spirit not trying to judge and condemn each other we can start sharing our part and growing by hearing the rest

it’s being born into a new family a new life and it takes a lifetime to understand and fully grasp ahold of we’re born again t a starting point and need to embrace the new and let the old die out

we’re going to not always agree but as we engage in the right spirit not envious or spiteful not annoyed and angry not trying to prove ea chi mother wrong ect that’s when we will start growing towards one another becoming part of the same body or at least becoming aware that we’re all
Part of the same so we don’t want to sink anyones boat we’re in it too

If You're "Born AGain", then you have been indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and if you need "Wisdom" then GOd will give it FREELY - as long as you ask singlemindedly. Simple as that. The only one you're called to be concerned about is YOU.

“The only one you're called to be concerned about is YOU.”

“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭12:29-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

our concern should be for our loved ones

However as far as determining your OWN PERSONAL BELIEF SET, that's an INDIVIDUAL THING. maybe this or that teacher can give you information, but whether you accept it as truth is between YOU and the Holy SPirit - period.

hmm yeah I suppose so it’s also written down in scripture so we can learn about it and know what’s true and what isn’t teachers aren’t always the place to go brother the Bible always is

“preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:2-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s a lot of corrupt teachers but the Bible still says the same thing it always has it is our constant so people can test the truth for themselves and learn and grow when they aren’t too proud to do so

Having the Holy Spirit and us being lead to all truth should at least indicate that when we read His word we believe what is written. Even if our understanding is incomplete.
However, I have seen more than just a few on this forum, reject what is actually written by attempting to set other passages against it or explain it away by natural understanding. The fact is that when scripture actually literally says a thing we if we have the Spirit of God should believe it. We should possibly seek to understand it as a result of believing it. Not try to wash it away with other passages or by natural understanding.
So when Jesus said this is my body and this is my blood and unless you eat my body and drink my blood... We should believe it. I dont know how or even why, but Jesus said it so it is. Somehow He imparts his body and blood to us through bread and wine. Its not possible to understand and I think any attempt for a human explanation is folly. So ya transubstantiation is a fouled up human attempt to explain.
In scripture where Peter say get up be baptized washing away sins, ok baptism washes away sin. How why I dont know but scripture says so therefore so it is.

Should we not take it to Him and seek His understanding? I recall Him saying "We have not because we ask not.
Also we must NOT lean on our own understanding, THAT is where the competing views are created, God is NOT the author of confusion, the enemy is.:)

I dont think God will give us answers that are beyond our finite mind. He hasnt yet so its not likely until we are in eternity.
I think there are many things we have to accept in faith. Its good to ask all questions of God.

If you want to be sure that the Holy Spirit is with you, study the Gospel of Luke, Cha 11. This Gospel emphasizes the persistence of prayer and, through the persistance of prayer, that the Father will send you the Spirit to guide you.

For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit* to those who ask him?”

God the Father promises to give us the Gift of the Holy Spirit if we truly ask for it. And God keeps His promises!

It's Jesus that died for all of us, and it's solely up to each believer to find Him, to work that out within one's own self, we don't slap babies, we help their own joy, knowing that they too can come to know Him. His grace is sufficient for all.

Bingo. Bullseye. Very few "christians" are actually Christians, and that includes many here.
Agree with you 100%. A lot of false doctrines that many believe that don't save souls. One such pervasive doctrine as an example that you constantly hear on TV commercials, such as those by Franklin Graham that many have bought into, is being saved by simply recting a prayer and asking Jesus into your heart. Totally unscriptural and totally unsaving.
