I find deuteronomy 22:28 very interesting.

At 68 I am still looking. I'm on dating sites and doing MeetUp groups. In my 30's and 40's I wish someone had pushed me toward marriage, but I was going to Calvary Chapel and they pushed the purity movement. I never should have tried there.
Why would someone need to push you toward marriage? Didn't you want that for yourself? By the time you are 30 you should
know if you want to be married without being told. I don't think I know any couples who were married because their church instructed them to do so.

I mean encourage marriage. Some churches push purity putting blocks between couples and marriage. Teaching them no physical contact before marriage....which the bible NEVER calls for.

....what do they expect an 18 year old to do when hormones are raging?
Well....in the days of Israel, girls and boys would be married immediately after puberty (boy and girl 14 yrs old). With an arranged marriage.

So there's that......

I find it interesting GOD himself inserted "if they are found out" It's like a legal escape clause. You're not guilty if no one finds out. A problem with the word "fornication" is, it's applied to any sexual sin. People apply it to adultery, which causes confusion in Matthew 5:27-28. Jesus was talking about a married person. In Greek the word for "woman" is the same if they are married or single. Taken in context Jesus was talking about lusting after a MARRIED person. Not two single persons have desires for someone else who is single.
The law of Moses indicated that unmarried young people who are guilty of fornication should marry. Not be sentenced to death.
No doubt this was a problem and killing youngsters for such a cause is unacceptable. No covenant was broken, that is the key issue IMO.

I get fed up with Christians who have been married 2 or 3 times teling singles "If you even think of sex you have sinned" or even trying to tell singles what they can and cannot do on a date.
All scripture is truth, so all scripture must be looked at, not just one verse. Other verses can explain it.

To understand sex as God gave it to us we need to go back to Genesis that tells us about why God created sex, and just what it is. God had created woman from a part of man as a helpmate. Sex unites them in marriage so they are a united team. Through sex the two becomes one. You cannot become one with three people.

Yet it seems the church brushes over divorce. Are divorced people warned they are committing adultery if they marry again? But they come down harder on singles, if they even think about sex. In deuteronomy 22:28 I see GOD showing some compassion on the single people.

Scripture is truth, and scripture tells us the two become one. If single people have sex they are no longer single, but the two sexual partners become one.

yes one flesh. It’s also the only way for a child to be created when the two become one flesh

First off I never said to think of sex is a sin.
The Bible tells those things what to do and bot to do.. If you have a problem with scripture thats on you.
If you have a problem with what a repented sinner did in his past; take that up with Jesus.
Its not an excuse to endorse a sinful lifestyle.
Amen

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, ( past )

but now are ye light in the Lord(present ) walk as children of light:

(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth) proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:1, 3-11‬ ‭

amen to what you said some people can’t see the change meant to take place they think the sinner just rolls on and is never held accountable rather than embracing the power of the gospel to change us from sinners bound to sin and death to Gods children set free of sin and death
