So, some vivid memories are actually from my childhood and some others are recently like 5 years ago when I had the experience at the church.
I’m not sure how this works but this is why I completely trust God at this point because having a technical background, just like you do, it had convinced me that our knowledge (or science) cannot solve these mysteries of life.
I am just in awe of His creation at this point and I’m grateful that He has created us so we can fellowship with Him and love Him like a father.

I don't use a traditional home internet connection. My phone
IS my internet connection. So mobile data caps matter.

For people who rely mostly on a home internet connection and blow up hundreds
of gigabytes a month on Netflix and Hulu, it would be slightly impractical.
Do you mean, like, watching 163 episodes of Seinfeld in a month?:giggle:

During its nine-year run, 180 episodes of Seinfeld were produced.

One hundred and sixty three down, seventeen to go!

Yeah. Something like that. My internet account would be totally impractical for you.

So now do you think that your memory is correct? Maybe wishful thinking? Some people like to trash Bose. Maybe Bose was mid-frequency rich.
Bose was the iPhone of speakers - supposed to be premium, comes with a premium price tag, but mostly hype.

I never got into bashing them though. Someone who likes them, let him listen to music on them. As long as he doesn't try to put down my not-Bose speakers, I won't bore him with a list of reasons why I don't use Bose.

The only speakers I hate are any speakers a fanboy insists I have to use if I want to be anywhere near his level of audiophile elitism. :P

Yes I got Bose because I got a demo in Cambridge around 1999 and I was impressed. The whole surround sound experience.
Very close to a movie theater. But I do know years later on other electronic stores, there were other speakers who were very good too, it’s just that I already bought the Bose system and then I kinda abandoned it like 7 years ago. Lol

I know some audiophiles who would be VERY distressed by that.

On the other hand, now Pixar wants to make a movie about the abandoned speaker...

I think with vinyl and digital the difference is that you dont get those scratchy needles with vinyl so you cant do the whole back and forth thing that DJs do to mix things up anymore lol

With cassette does anyone miss fast forwarding and rewinding? I dont lol. Or having to get the pencil out to loop it back when it got stuck.

sterero you only really get the benefits if you wearing headphones.

But I dont bother anymore I'd rather move around/dance or enjoy the sound with everyone else I think the way I listen to music has changed.

I think its pretty cool that now, if you have spotify you can call up anything to listen to, or watch music vids on you tube. Whenever you want, you not at the mercy of radio or programmers, or having to buy discs.

Digital audio has changed the way ppl listen and its not a bad thing. I think podcasts and audio books are also improving all the time, its making audio more accessible. Sharing music is also a good thing. Music ideally should be free, its just there is such a big industry surrounding it that it became the big deal that it was back in the day when you had to buy a plastic disc.

Musicians work and need to earn a living. The industry needs reform. Stereo is also effectively realized with loudspeakers if 1)properly recorded....2)repro equipment is stereo 3) placement of Loudskrs

this is why they do live tours or have residencies at entertainment venues.
not everyone wants to experience music out of a computer. Its nice to have a recording, but having the real thing live is so different.

It's trying real hard to be helpful...

Yeah, no, it usually makes more problems. :-/
Yeah those that sit at look at charts all day think it’s helpful.
In the real world it breaks calendar appointments especially series and sometimes contacts.

Micro$oft.

I remember when I was married my wife bought a computer from Aaron's and it had like a hundred viruses on it

They didn't do so much as a simple factory reset before sending it out again?

Total facepalm. Triple facepalm if you can borrow somebody else's hand to help out.

Maybe I should apply to the local Aaron's as tech support.

i mean its not enough free videos on there
There are other options to explore.

If you run Linux, try Hypnotix and FreeTuxTV.

If you're on a phone or tablet, try FreeVee. You can also watch it on a computer, in a browser... For now at least.

If you have a new Samsung TV, try its own TV channels.

All of these have a LOT of free content, and all you need is an internet connection.

I've never really had a use for a computer. There's nothing I would do on a computer that I can't do on my phone
