That's right. We're born again now, sons of God now, but when Christ returns, our physical bodies will be changed. We will become immortal.

In your first sentence in this post you said "Born Again Apostle Paul." Was Paul born again when he wrote those words? He was...

Arguing against your understanding of the Word is not arguing against the Word.

Amen!

Thank you for your response as it is a perfect example of a person, in this case yourself, arguing against clear Scripture.

And then the old catch phrase = "your understanding" = lol

Evidence A.) "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption."

Evidence B.) Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we shall (not now) be has not yet been revealed.
We know that when(not now = future) Christ appears, we shall(not now) be like Him, for we will(not now) see Him as He is.
And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure.

Evidence C.) “The sons of this age(now) marry and are given in marriage.
But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection(not now=future) from the dead
will(not now) neither marry nor be given in marriage.
In fact, they can no longer die, because they are like the angels.
And since they are sons of the resurrection(not now=future), they are sons of God.

Completely denying the very words of Scripture means only one thing = religion.

What religion do you attach yourself too?

i reached out to you in Truth and the Love of Christ but you continue in a argumentative mode against the words of God (Post 236).
Wrong. I reject your misinterpretations of the word of God, which I have demonstrated to be misrepresentations. I also reject your false expressions of love which are not consistent with the love of God as described in Scripture. Don't bother claiming to be speaking the truth in love if you can't receive my comments as such.

That said, if you want to discuss this thread topic without resorting to foolish ad hominem remarks and implications (like you just did!), we can do so. It's up to you. I am perfectly content ignoring you if you are incapable.

Christianity.
On this subject you continue to make a false claim that our physical bodies have been born-again now.

THREE Witnesses speak against your error.

Witness #1. Born Again Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit says: NOW/TODAY = our physical bodies are not born-again.

Evidence A.) "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption."

Witness #2. Born Again Apostle John says that our physical bodies have not been Born-Again

If I understand you, you claim we are not born again now. 1 John 3:2 says we are sons of God NOW.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

1 Pet 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

2 Pet 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

So that i do not assume, please clarify your statement here: "Our bodies are not like Christ's body now, but we are born again NOW."
See above.

a.) Are you saying that our physical bodies are born-again NOW/Today?
WE, human beings, Christians, are born again NOW/Today. We aren't yet immortal, we do not have our new bodies, but we ARE born again of the gift of the Holy Spirit. It's what makes us Christians.

Dino,
Please put aside the false accusations and focus on God's Love in this = "It is impossible for Him to lie"

If you want to make a claim against me as you say of me: "your misinterpretations of the word of God"
This is fine if you submit to and hold fast to this: Proverbs 30:5-6 and Matt 4:4

Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.

"It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."

When we have differing view point sin Scripture, will you accept and yield to ="It is written" and "every word of God"?

i have no problem in being corrected, where and if, i "misinterpret" but this must be met with clear evidence from Scripture.

PROOF TEXT of TRUTH = "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." Matt 18:16

Please do not accuse my love for the Brethren as being disingenuous.

I heard, rightly or wrongly, that the "sons of God" were human males from the "righteous line" and the "sons on man" were human males from the "unrighteous line". This see⅞ms to make far more sense than the idea of heavenly-dwelling beings being attractive to and having sex with humans.

Brother you have me cracking up in joyful laughter in the Holy Spirit by saying "If I understand you, you claim we are not born again now."

i never claimed, not once, that we are not Born-Again now.

If we belong to Christ then we have been Born Again right now/today and forever - Amen.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Apostles Paul and John and the Holy Spirit say that our physical bodies (flesh) have not yet been Born-Again. We will only experience this at His Second Coming and the Resurrection (Rapture if we are alive at His Coming).

Your physical body is not you = it is only the temporary "tent" that you reside in.
You are Born-Again in Christ and have become a Eternal Son of God = now/today.
Your physical body will perish and must perish or you will never receive the NEW Immortal Second Birth Body made in His Image.

Peace

Human reasoning may make sense but it is not the source of Truth.

Human reasoning is tainted by sin and cannot know the things of God, unless God reveals it to us.

The only source of Truth comes from God's Word and HE has made available to us His Truth partly in Creation and ALL in Christ.

I know how that's done.

Show me that you know.
Keep in mind that my God given personality does not have to measure up to anyone on here.

FYI - it becomes painful for me to type so my words are short length and always will be, therefore i focus solely on Scripture with a hand's off approach.
This is uncomfortable for some.

Satan took control and polluted the world with sin with just a few words = "did God really say".

Let us, who belong to Christ, refuse and reject the temptation to do the very same thing = doubt what God has said and even worse change what God has said.

Jehovah's Witnesses sometimes tell me that they can get by without the
birth spoken of by John 3:3-8 because their hope is on Earth rather than up
in Heaven. However, according to John 3:12 the kingdom of God, and Spirit
birth requirement to enter it, are Earthly things rather than Heavenly.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob received the 'circumcision of the heart' which is
the OT phrase of being 'Born Again'. Deut 10:16 , Jer 4:4 , Deut 30:6

Deut 10:16 . . Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no
more stiff-necked.

Jer 4:4 . . Circumcise yourselves to The Lord, and take away the foreskins
of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest My fury
come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of
your doings.

Those two passages do not speak of water and the Spirit per John 3:3-8,
rather, they speak of repentance, reformation, and revival per the law of
Moses.

Deut 30:6 . . And The Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the
heart of thy seed, to love The Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all
thy soul, that thou mayest live.

That verse is lifted from a portion of the law of Moses that begins with verse
30:1 and goes down to 30:10. The blessing it offers is conditional upon the
Jews' voluntary compliance with verse 10; which says:

"If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of The Lord thy God, to keep His
commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law,
and if thou turn unto The Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul."

Now, it should go without saying that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were not
required to comply with the law of Moses because its terms and conditions
are not retroactive. (Deut 5:2-4 & Gal 3:17-18)

So then, if perchance the patriarchs were born of water and the Spirit per
John 3:3-8, then it was unconditional rather than a reward for satisfactory
compliance with the law of Moses. In point of fact if birth via the water and
Spirit per John 3:3-8 were conditional upon folks' voluntary compliance with
the law of Moses scarcely few, if any, would succeed.

We're talking about two different things. I'm talking about being born again of the gift of the Holy Spirit, you're talking about resurrection.

Your physical body is not you = it is only the temporary "tent" that you reside in.
It is part of me. Without it I would be dead. Same for you. Same for any Christian, for now.

You are Born-Again in Christ and have become a Eternal Son of God = now/today.
That's correct.

Your physical body will perish and must perish or you will never receive the NEW Immortal Second Birth Body made in His Image.
People who are alive at the rapture will be changed.

PS - the divine nature is not flesh and blood = it is Spirit, Truth and Love = God is Spirit, God is Truth, God is Love
The divine nature is the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In the NT, "sons of God" does not refer to angels, it refers to humans. That's what started all this.

Nobody was born again of the Holy Spirit until the day of Pentecost. It's unique to Christianity.
