Angels can be spirit beings created to serve the House of God or men of flesh who carry a message from God.

Sons of God are similar: we might refer to spirit angels as sons of God because they originated from God. Or we might refer to men of flesh as sons of God because they are of a particular order of priesthood, like Melchizedek, who are commissioned to represent God in their generation.

When we talk about sons of God having sex, however, then our choice is clear: since angels have no physical bodies apart from God’s provision, then the sons of God who had sex with women were the priests. Like Isaac, they were to find suitable wives from their family lineage. Instead, they chose any woman they wanted because of the women’s beauty. This was a violation akin to eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil: the women were pleasing to their eyes so they took what they wanted in disobedience. The sons of God failed the test of their generation. Thankfully, one son of God was found to be righteous: Noah.

No men "of the flesh" are referred to as "sons of God" = the LORD Jesus Christ clearly and indisputably stated this = Luke 20:34
So also did the Apostle John 1 John 3:1-3
So also did the Apostle Paul Corinthians ch15
So also did the Holy Spirit

Do not commit or impose error against the words of God.
The Holy Spirit said these angels left their place and came to earth and "came into the daughters of men".
Faithful Witnesses = Genesis, Job, 2 Peter, Jude

The Holy Spirit is never commits human logic error, whereas religion, unbelief, respect of persons, fear of man and the pride of life do.

There is not a single Holy Spirit Witness to Genesis ch6 "sons of God" as being "men".

Our responsibility to God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, Truth and the Brethren is to "rightly divide the word of Truth" and never adding or taking away from "it is written."

PLEASE provide the evidence of Genesis ch6 "sons of God" as "men of the flesh".

I don’t know what to tell you. This is elementary. “Adam, the son of God”. Luke 3.
And other places.

It does not say the angels it says the sons of God ... it's YOU [and others] who have identified these as angels. How you make fallen angels the sons of God I don't know.
The Jews were destroyed for unbelief
The angels are kept in prison for not keeping their proper domain
Sodom and Gomorrah were punished for inordinant sex

Three examples of God's dealing with rebellion but unconnected otherwise.

By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Actually.....the correct term is PROCLAIM. Jesus is not preaching the gospel.

Jesus is proclaiming His victory to fallen angels in Tartarus.

2Pe 2:4
For if God messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom, having cast them down to Tartarus, did deliver them to judgment, having been reserved,

You will have to wrongly assume that this term means that in all cases. Not true and obviously so.

Fact = Strongs is in fact the scripture in hebrew.
I begin to see a cause of your errors. Was Strong inspired? No. Get real, man.

Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Says the one who continually adds to His words, claiming Scripture "clearly" says things it does not say at all.

Anyone who says that the "sons of God" in Genesis ch6 are "men" is lying and is not in fellowship with the Truth of Gods word on this subject.
I'm not interested in discussiong what "anyone" says. Let's focus on what Scripture says, what you say, and what I say.

i accept ALL challengers = You , CS1, Aaron56

Follow your own guideline = "let's follow what scripture says"

Please provide the Scriptural Evidence that states the Genesis ch6 "sons of God" are "men of the flesh".

Scripture is Self-Correcting = find your evidence that is directly referencing Genesis ch6 "sons of God".

but unconnected otherwise.
The "connection" you fail to address is that of the outcome of the interaction of fallen angels and human females:

Giants. Inhuman giant offspring. So noted in Scripture beyond all possibility of dispute.

You certainly have shown assertiveness.

Be a man of God and make clear your assertion = we are obligated to Truth, fellowship in Him and His word.

Anything apart from that can be divisive, misleading and deadly.

Today is a Brand New Day in Christ = let us make the most of it.

No one can fault you for lacking passion. :)

It requires wisdom.
We know Melcizedek represents the priesthood that Christ restored. Christ is the high priest of that priesthood. Hebrews notes that Melchizedek was “like a Son of God”. Furthermore, there are no priests without a covenant. The priests, who administrated the covenant of God with God, are found at Sinai before the Law was given. They were typically the oldest males within each family.

Don’t get hung up on the phrase “sons of God”. Although it’s clearly in the NT referring to believers, you’ll find many more references to other words for son: neipios, teknon, neoniscus, huios. These are all “son” in the Greek with particular connotations. These are to be understood spiritually because God is the father of our spirits.

I have been crystal-clear in my assertions. For some reason, you have been unable to accept them as written. I suggest you "be a man of God" and go back to review what I have written... before making any more backhanded implications to impinge my character. ;)

This is GREAT - i love you guys and BEST of ALL i love the Holy Spirit of Truth, who stands with me
only because i am on His Side of Truth on this current subject matter which HE delegated for you to believe.

"For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually."

KEY to unlocking Truth is "believe every word and do not add or take away".

#1.) Melchizedek is never mentioned or alluded/referenced to concerning to and specifically to Genesis chapter 6.

#2.) Melchizedek = "without father, without mother, without genealogy, = 3 strikes your out brother

#3.) Melchizedek = "having neither beginning of days nor end of life"

#4.) Melchizedek = "made like the Son of God" = not 'a' son of God but but 'the' SON of God

#5.) You failed your "elementary" principals on this subject in almost every aspect = from the very beginning.

#6.) Return to the correct Path of Truth = Deut 4:1-2 , Proverbs 30:5-6 , 2 Timothey 2:15 , 1 john 2:21 , Revelation 22:18-19

The Holy Spirit is working GREATLY on behalf of everyone here who is willing = do not miss out.

Help me out here = please give me your Post #s so i can review your assertion.
In post 213 you stated, “Since God clearly said that sons of God, which HE said are angels”.

Since I know that Scripture doesn’t contain such a statement, I asked in post 215, “Where does God state clearly that the sons of God are angels?”

In post 217 you responded with, “The Holy Spirit stated it clearly and our LORD Jesus Christ, the Creator, also stated it clearly.”

In post 218 I responded, “You dodged that almost completely. WHERE in Scripture did the Holy Spirit state clearly that the sons of God are angels??" I gave more info in 219 and rephrased my question.

In post 221 you said, “I see your dilemma” and pointed me to post 118.

I responded in post 225 with “There is no dilemma. Job 1:6 and 2:1 both use the same Hebrew phrase bene ha'elohim. This means "sons of God", not "angels". The Hebrew word for angels is ha'malakim. It's a different root with a different meaning. In other words, you have still provided no evidence for your claim.”

Read on from there. I have provided evidence contradicting your claim. You have not provided clear evidence supporting it. Instead, you have advised me to just believe every word of Scripture… implying clearly that I don’t... while you blather on about "Christian love". I don't consider insults and arrogance to be consistent with Christian love at all.

Again, your claim, which I reject as erroneous:

“God clearly said that sons of God, which HE said are angels” or, more succinctly, “God clearly said that the sons of God are angels”.

At no time have I asserted that the sons of God are not angels, nor that they are humans, nor anything else. I am simply and directly challenging your assertion as you worded it.

God has not “clearly” said that the sons of God are angels. For your assertion to be true, there would have to be a text in Scripture where God says something very much like, “The sons of God are angels”. That would be a clear statement. There is no such statement.

You pointed to several passages where “sons of God” are mentioned, and made some logical leaps to support your assertion. Let me be “clear”: If an assertion requires logical leaps, it isn’t clearly stated!

So, perhaps next time, instead of going off on an irrelevant rant implying that others are inferior to you, read carefully what they are saying, don’t make assumptions, and definitely don't imply that they don't believe or adding to Scripture! Further, don't be a hypocrite, doing exactly what you criticize others for doing.

PART 1

Follow Irrefutable Evidence spoken by the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ declaring "sons of God" are spiritual beings/angels in Job chapters 1 , 2 , 38 in Genesis ch6 and in Jude and in 2 Peter ch2 and in Luke 20:34

God clearly states this in Genesis
Genesis 6:1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

key word = "men"
next key word = "daughters" = born from "men"
next key word/phrase = "sons of God"

CLEAR distinction by the HOLY SPIRIT

CONFIRMED by the HOLY SPIRIT = Jude

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

the HOLY SPIRIT confirmed that angels are sons of God = Job chapters 1 & 2

the HOLY SPIRIT confirmed that angels are sons of God = 2 Peter 2:4-6

the LORD Jesus Christ confirmed that angels are sons of God = Luke 20:34-36

For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them deep into hell, placing them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight; if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction

Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36nor can they die anymore, for they are equal/like to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Everyone needs to fear God and turn from self inflicted error on this subject = for you are changing God's word to satisfy your own flawed understanding.

Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
Proverbs 30:5-6

PART 2

Key to understanding is to follow exactly = word for word = meaning by meaning = what our LORD says to us.

Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage.
But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore,
for they are equal/like to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

In this current age/earth/flesh = men and women can reproduce but not in the spiritual realm and the age to come for those who are Resurrected.

Sons of God is given male gender designation in BOTH realms = the Scriptures do not specify if they are asexual but that may be true.

Therefore, according to God's word, the fallen angels that departed their spiritual domain came down to earth they entered into this age/realm their God given designation, "sons of God", in male gender.
As such the "sons of God" were able to procreate with the "daughters(female gender) of men".

That is clear from the Witness of Scripture given to us = Genesis, Luke, 2 Peter, Jude

There is not one single scripture to that argues against this or speaks of the "sons of God" as sons of Adam going into the "daughters of men".

God never lies and HE is not the author of confusion AND we are commanded to believe every word and not add or take away from His words.

In Post #299 a brother violated God's words and changed the meaning to satisfy unbelief which is sin.

Post #300 brings forth the actual words of God in Genesis 6:4 without "adding to or taking away".[/QUOTE]
