Hello Sander, actually, we have GREAT/AMAZING/FREE healthcare and financial support available to the poor and disabled here in the States (e.g. Medicaid/Welfare/Social Security). The hard part, at times, is being able to jump through all of the hoops that it takes to get it.Wish our government in the US could have free healthcare and vision/dental waivers for those in poverty and have better social support for people in need.
Yeah, hopefully he is covered by SSI. I feel that the hoops should be removed, and the government should easily know how much a person makes and if they need support without all the paperwork and lawyers. We have supercomputers that can now pull 10^17 - 10^18 calculations per second nowadays, why can't the government figure out how to dish out Medicare to those in need without the need for overcomplications.Hello Sander, actually, we have GREAT/AMAZING/FREE healthcare and financial support available to the poor and disabled here in the States (e.g. Medicaid/Welfare/Social Security).
The hard part, at times, is being able to jump through all of the hoops that it takes to get it. In Blaine's case (as in most), a lawyer who ~specializes~ in SSI and SSD needs to be retained. It's a process (and a pain) to be sure (a number of my family members have done on SSI/SSD over the years), but it can be done (and the lawyers fee is typically taken out of the first government check that arrives, and since it normally takes so many months to get the first one, there is typically enough money in that first check to cover the lawyer's fee and to live on).
So, if Blaine wants/needs to go this route (and it sound like he should), the sooner he does so, the better. I hope that he has a family or church family member who will help him find the right lawyer (after that, the lawyer basically takes it from there).
God bless you!!

Governments LOVE to talk, but they don't like to pay...why can't the government figure out how to dish out Medicare to those in need without the need for overcomplications.![]()
He's on assistance now, but as we all know those programs have been repeatedly gutted over the last 40 years. it is tedious but mainly because of mty eyes i am actually a very fast typer like I scare my roomate because my keyboard makes that click noise when you type which I actually like and she thinks I am on drugs or something because even with these eyes I still can type very fast.I know i was just messin with ya since your out and about and since its been a while. That plus i know how tedious it can get trying to explain stuff to people without hurting their feelings. Gotta have little breaks inbetween to avoid burnout.
I get frustration like that. It's his Job-lite moment. We got to stay faithful, even when it seems God is not. Yes, this is extremely difficult for many of us.I don't know how many of you know Blain, but his eyes have gone bad and he is blind in one and nearly so in the other. That's why he has not been on CC lately. He and his roommate are in poverty and he's just not doing very well. And he is frustrated at God for not helping him with any of it. Any prayers you can send his way would be greatly appreciated.
