Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
This word assembling is only used twice in the Bible. The other time is a reference to the rapture and our gathering together to Jesus (2Thess 2:1). Our gatherings on earth are a rehearsal for our meeting in the air.
I agree. However, the form and structure our "gatherings" have taken are completely useless and powerless for winning souls to Christ, or for helping them reach maturity once they've been won. They're little more than distractions to help people forget their misery for awhile.
