Answer the example of King David quoted earlier. David was indwelt by the Holy Spirit for a long time, yet he sinned by adultery.

What do you think that means? That he never had the Holy Spirit to begin with? Or that, when he sinned, the Holy Spirit left him? Then he was restored by repentance.

But there is no limit to God's forgiveness. He Himself told us to forgive 490 times, 70*7, will He not do much more than what He asked us to do? As often as we sin, we can ask for forgiveness, and we will be forgiven.
