"Kissing is definitely sex" directly contradicts observable fact and logic. Therefore I am going to have to ask you to provide chapter and verse where the Bible equates kissing with sex.

On the other hand, the Bible DOES say to greet each other with a holy kiss...
Here’s the deal, there are two views wether or not kissing is considered sex, I firmly believe it is, and you believe it’s isn’t. What’s the point in arguing. And there’s nothing biblical about whether or not kissing is sex, it wholly depends on your point of view.

With some things perspective is very important. Whether a food is tasty or repulsive, for example. But with this there is no question of point of view. There is no way to argue that kissing equates with sex.

But you're right. There is no point in arguing about it. I don't have any reason to care if you think I'm having sex with my grandmother when I give her a kiss.

Okay I just want to clear something up you might be confused about, kissing someone on the cheek fine. But like kissing lips is sex

How is that sex? Who told you that was sex?

It's at the other end of the body.

Did some preacher say kissing is sex? Is that why you think it's sex? If you heard that from the pulpit, that preacher is wrong.

How do you seriously think that smooching isn’t sex? I am just confused at this point

I have to side with Lynx here. If you're talking about lips (of the mouth), you'd have to have a very strange definition of sex for it to include kissing lips.

Everyone I’ve ever know has considered that to be sex. Maybe I’m just from a different area. But whatever it doesn’t much matter

Are you sure? Did you ever quiz them on it? Perhaps you misunderstood?
Actually I did a quick Google and turned up a couple of fringe groups who really do believe that kissing is tatamount to sex. Maybe this guy is a child of a family in one of those groups.

I think you have a misunderstanding of what sex is in comparison to what something that is sexual.Sex is defined by the act of sexual intercourse and that alone.
However there are many other things that either can be perceived as sexual or they actually are sexual.Holding hands, hugs,Cuddling ect are not sexual in themselves yet for some can be sexual arousing so there is wisdom in knowing what kind of boundaries to have to try and prevent certain acts of romantic intimacy from being sexually arousing.
The act of kissing someone you like isn't sex but can seen as something sexual if passions become ignited and is seen by some as a physically intimate thing to do with someone you like.Kissing isn't a sin however it can lead to sin if one isn't careful as there's pleasure in kissing and certain types of kissing can be sexually arousing...so theres wisdom to some extent.
I would find it a real challenge if I dated someone but wasn't allowed to kiss them...even on the cheek to say goodnight after a date unless God had clearly instructed not to do so for specific reasons unique to the relationship dynamic.
There are many different views about what is permissible in dating from..is it right to kiss or hold hands or cuddle or be alone together ect..???
Question..are you really saying kissing is sex..or at you really trying to say that kissing is perceived by you as being sexual..(?A degree of physical intimacy)
Coz to say kissing is sex is a bit like saying having one burger is actually eating the entire cow..🐄😯😯

I guess I’m more so saying that kissing is perceived as being sexual. I’m not comparing it to being in sexual intercourse

Hey, I know this was a while ago, but I just wanted see how you were going. I also wanted to say that please don't think you are worthless, a King died for you, wants a relationships with you, and loves you unconditionally. God made you perfect and in his image, and thinks that you are equally as beautiful as the girls you see at school. Don't forget thought that what makes you beautiful is the way you treat others, and the relationship you have with Jesus. Focus on what you have on the inside, and only value Jesus's opinion of you. Let your relationship with him grow, and your light will inspire and lift up others.

With the guy, what he did was very serious, don't underestimate this even if he apologised to you. If he still thinks in his heart that what he did was okay there is a high possibility that a similar occurrence can happen in the future, maybe even worse.

Because you are scared, be sure to tell someone you can trust who is responsible to help you through this and help guide you on what to do. At least tell his parents, they need to have a discussion with him so he knows not to touch another person's body without permission, and not at such a young age. I understand this is scary, but is so, so, so important. You never know, making sure the right actions are taken to prevent this from happening again can save your life and possibly the life of other people in similar positions too.

I hope you are safe and well, and may God bless you with strength, courage, guidance and wisdom.

I really like this guy a lot, but I know what he's doing is very immoral. I am really scared. what should i do?
I normally don't encroach on Christian teen threads, but I see other adults here, so I don't feel so bad. I haven't read any other responses, but I can only guess.

Look, I don't want to judge you; I'll let God do that. But going into a dark closet with a boy your age and playing "truth or dare" is probably not the best idea if you're trying to keep him from temptation. The best thing to do is to dress modestly, keep from being alone with him, and understand that all boys and men go through a battle of lustful temptation.

Also, stop being so self-righteous when you were the one who put yourself in that "dark, enclosed" room with him. No one put a gun to your head.

Since he is testing his boundaries, YOU are the one that has to set them. Show this boy in the bible where it is wrong for him to do what he is doing. Once he views you as a sister in Christ rather than a toy, you guys will be on your way to a positive friendship.

If he can't handle that, dump him.
