Well, there's also a bit more too it. I'd need special permission from the bishop as well, mainly because my spouse isn't Catholic... yet. 
But If you ask my mom I'd be a great priest because I love to lecture and talk and talk and talk.... My only flaw would be that my homilies would be way too long

It's 25 to become a priest? Hmm awesome lol I'll be 25 when I get out of the Navy! PS I have also given it a lot of thought, especially after watch Karol: The man who became Pope and Karol: The man, the Pope. Also my godmother said I would be a great priest. So idk I'll take a retreat at a Benedictine Monastary for a week and think about it and ask God for guidance.

I've had the idea to take a retreat to one of the Benedictine monasteries near me as well, but I don't think I'd become a priest in a religious order. A diocesan priests life would suit me much better. I've also given some though to becoming a priest trained in the Tridentine Rite, but apart from the SSPX (which is slightly questionable) I don't see how that could happen. The only reason we have it in my parish is because our priest trained himself in it.

and obviously you need to be ordained to the diaconate in order to receive the priestly ordination.
For me the main parts are to be a member of a parish for at least 5 years and be actively involved in the church, and also to have been married for at least 8 years. I've only been married close to 5 years, and I've only been attending my current parish for about 2 years. Not to mention that my wife isn't Catholic.
In all honesty, I don't think I'm called to be a priest, but still, I feel that I should prayerfully consider it at least before dismissing the idea completely since it is an available option to me. I do know that I will be working hard to ensure that my daughter and any future children of mine consider religious vocations to be very honourable ones. I would LOVE to see my daughter become a nun, or a future son become a priest.
