doesn't God use both (the Holy Spirit and the Bible) to teach His children discernment and maturity?
Wolves are not defined by the Bible, because they speak in biblical language.

Not in those folds that are taught the word and sound doctrine daily. The wolves don't have a chance and neither do those that boast of being prophets and hearing the voice of God that condemns the church and scatters because they are not a gatherer. Those sheep that hear God's voice have their soul full of the word and doctrine and they know how to think with their shepherd because they know the doctrine of the shepherd and follow that doctrine. But these false prophets and/or teachers try to discourage the sheep from listening to sound doctrine and they try to put the sheep back into bondage to their sin by telling them they can not hear from the Spirit. What a load of you know what!!!!!!!!!!!!
I forgive you so that God will forgive you.

The Holy Spirit is God. He is our Teacher. Why is teaching this considered to be heresy? Even blasphemy?

Just how far have we fallen?

There has been a lot of name calling here lately, and I asked the Holy Spirit for some help in this. He made things very simple, very simple indeed. He said to watch a sheep, and see how many other sheep it will kill, attack, destroy. Then He said to watch a wolf, and see how many sheep it will kill, attack, destroy. It is the nature of one to be attacked, and the nature of the other to do the attacking.

So whenever you see the accusation of another being a wolf thrown out there, ask just how many sheep they have attacked, and then take a look at the one attacking.
The analogy doesn't entirely work because you are ignoring important parts of this equation. There are also shepherds and sheepdogs. Following what you just said, one is likely to mistake a sheepdog or a shepherd for a wolf.

Not really, because Jesus did not say anything about sheepdogs. He did talk about shepherds and hirelings though. But no sheepdogs.

Shepherds can always be known by their care for the sheep. Hirelings can always be know by their lack of love for the sheep. Sheep can always be known by their ability to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd who is Jesus Christ. Wolves can always be known by their rending and tearing and scattering of the sheep.

I forgive you so that God will forgive you.
Come on, spell it out. What is it that I need to be forgiven of? Have I sinned for esteeming the word and doctrine that we are instructed to live by every single moment of every day? Have I sinned for telling of those that condemn and judge the church that Christ has redeemed and is the head of? Have I sinned for edifying the sheep that hear God's voice when they are built up in the most holy faith through the word and doctrine? Have I sinned for opposing those that claim to be prophets who condemn instead of edifying the body of Christ?

Have I sinned for exposing the continuous onslaught of falsehood that comes from those that claim that they hear from God yet judge others that they do not hear from God nor do they draw near to God because they can not hear God's voice? You have done this and you make a mockery out of forgiveness by perverting the very nature of His love and grace that he imparts to His church and every member of His precious body. You of all people start a thread, 'Hypocrites Beware'. In the measure that we judge it shall be meeted back to us again (in the same measure).

There is a great principle about God's mercy when it comes to sin. If you sin and I judge you for that sin, God takes whatever discipline that He was going to give you and puts it on me. Judge not lest you be judged in the same measure. He lifts the discipline off of you and puts it on me. Makes you think twice or even three times before you judge another servant. But is we judge according to mercy we will be judged by mercy and mercy rejoices against judgment. When we judge according to mercy we always have joy but when we don't......Keep judging the church and let's see what becomes of you. You keep warning the church that judgment is coming, but when it comes, I wonder in what measure it will come.

Do I need to be forgiven again?

You are right. There is no mention of Sheep dogs in the scripture. But, as you yourself point out, there are Shepherds and any analogy is incomplete without considering them.

Good post BTW

We all need to be forgiven, all the time. Jesus lives to intercede for us, if we are drawing near to God through Him.

You misunderstand what I post, it seems intentionally, with frequent regularity.

Are you saying that if God wanted to talk to us, that He would not tell us anything that He would have us change? For that I forgive you.

God does want to talk to us, He does want to communicate with us, personally and individually, telling us the things that please Him, and the things that do not. It is how we grow in grace, in Jesus Christ. That I espouse this idea upsets you terribly, and so you call me false, and set forth your beliefs that all that we need to please God is to study the bible, and go to church.

Even scripture does not support this, nor that we are perfectly pleasing to God. Scripture supports that we have the covering of His shed blood, which allows us access to the Father. But if we do not draw near to the Father, then we are not pleasing to Him. It is that simple. And if we draw near to Him, we will become more like Him, because His majesty works that way, His glory will change us to me more like Him.

Well, you consider this a railing accusation against the church. It is not. If you feel that you are perfectly fine with our Father, good. Leave it at that. But if what I write convicts you in any way, then I suggest that you pray. Hard.

Thank you.

The point of this thread is about sheep and wolves. There seems to me to be a disagreement about what is what. I am not calling anyone either one, but thought it was time to shed some small light on the subject.

There will be much more said about shepherds in the future, I believe.

May Jesus bless you with His truth.

You know, I am reminded that even when the sheep are listening to those shepherds who are from the Good Shepherd, that they can hear His voice in them. I have been around some shepherds like that, you could hear the Holy Spirit speaking in their words and in their love for the sheep. The same Spirit that speaks through them is hearing in our hearts. We can know who to follow, by this hearing.

John 10:11-16
(11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
(12) But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
(13) The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
(14) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
(15) As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
(16) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The Bible says that there is only one shepherd not many

Just a little later He says that they cannot hear Him because they are not of His sheep.
