Well, if the written word of God is the seed, then everyone who has ever read or heard read the bible is going to have the seed of the life of God planted in them.

But there is a problem with this. Paul wrote that whenever the Law of Moses is read to the Jews, that a veil remains over their hearts.
first you say "our gift" then you compare us to the jews and the pharisees in particular.

I am not comparing anyone to anyone.

Are you too becoming convicted?

I started this thread to show the difference between sheep and wolves.
There is also the fat sheep who butt the thin sheep.

Ezekiel 34:21

New Living Translation (NLT)

21 For you fat sheep pushed and butted and crowded my sick and hungry flock until you scattered them...

You see, this is what gets me. First you come off as perfectly reasonable and full of compassion and reconciliation. Then you misconstrue what I write. Why?

Is what I wrote not what is in Paul's letter? Have I misquoted him?

Yeah, well, none of those sheep were sheep of the Lord of life, Jesus Christ.

And if we saw just how the church truly treats the sick and hungry, especially in my country, I wonder which ones God would call fat.

Yep, and the only way it will stop is if I go away.

Do you want me to do that?
No, I don't want you or anyone else to go away.
I love all of you guys.

I don't have to deal with anyone other than the One you also must deal with, that being Jesus Christ.

The Pharisees were leading a whole nation into death and destruction and damnation and eternal condemnation. I have a hard time defending them in any way, especially seeing how Jesus condemned them.
When you should be condemning those that are like unto the scribes and Pharisees, you instead condemn those that make up the church that have been redeemed by the blood of Christ. If you want to prophecy, prophecy against them and not the church. You falsely identify members of Christ's body as Pharisees and a harlot, and in doing so you take away and discredit the work That God is doing in the hearts of those He has imputed His righteousness by faith. In the scriptures you confuse the nation and people of Israel with the church and you ignore the blood of Christ that has cleansed the church from her sin and covered her through the mercy of Jesus Christ, the propitiator for her sins.

When you speak against the church you speak against Christ, her head. It is only for Christ to deal with her as her head, because He was the one who died and paid for all her sins. This is done on a local level through the delegated authority of the pastor/teachers as it was done in the Revelation to John and those seven churches. If you want to deal with the leaven of false doctrine, then teach the word and doctrine of Christ that will give every member of the church a capacity through grace to purge out their own leaven. Grace and mercy with sound doctrine will purge out the that old leaven of false doctrine and not some prophecy of impending judgment.

hi consumed.
i'm sorry for my part in it.

i really thought that we were supposed to pay careful attention to what men say about Jesus and His word (particularly in fellowship), comparing it to the Word.

i've taken seriously that imperitive about identifying those who causes divisions by bringing in teachings that are contrary to the doctrines we have received in the scriptures. Jesus and the apostles and disciples died bringing us the words we have. i thought we were supposed to defend them.

but maybe that doesn't apply to the internet.

anyways consumed....i'll no longer be opposing any false teachings whatsoever.
(which means i won't be here much, i reckon).
zone.
Jesus and the apostles and the disciples gave us words that we have. This does not mean that people have today is that they had then. But looks like that! Human performance! What a strange argument! If they had, and that means we have? It looks as if they lived with God and wrote about it to us and once we read, we also live with Him. We only have to read! How easy! Only on this basis, we do not have apostles and prophets? You're just a man zone. Maybe we drive out demons based on the fact that we know Jesus, whom Paul preached?

It is not worth answering you.

I just disagree with you, that is all. You are entitled to your opinion.

Popcorn sounds good.

As for the conversation, it has been going on for a long time. About 2,000 years or so.

I enjoy your attitude. Hope that you stay around.

Jesus said this:
. He who is a hireling, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, beholds the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees, and the wolf snatches them, and scatters them.

If we have wisdom, we can see the wolves. But the hirelings, those who are not concerned about the sheep, those are harder to see.

The only way to a strong foundation with and in Jesus is by fellowship with Him.
would the boy who called wolf be considered a "hireling"?

Jesus said this:

Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hireling, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, beholds the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees, and the wolf snatches them, and scatters them.

The wolves know the bible better than you do. They are not discrediting the bible, we have done that all on our own. No, the wolf is easy to spot, because they only do this, snatch and scatter. It is those who say that they are shepherds and are not, those are the ones who we are warned about. If we have wisdom, we can see the wolves. But the hirelings, those who are not concerned about the sheep, those are harder to see.

The only way to a strong foundation with and in Jesus is by fellowship with Him.
Not in those folds that are taught the word and sound doctrine daily. The wolves don't have a chance and neither do those that boast of being prophets and hearing the voice of God that condemns the church and scatters because they are not a gatherer. Those sheep that hear God's voice have their soul full of the word and doctrine and they know how to think with their shepherd because they know the doctrine of the shepherd and follow that doctrine. But these false prophets and/or teachers try to discourage the sheep from listening to sound doctrine and they try to put the sheep back into bondage to their sin by telling them they can not hear from the Spirit. What a load of you know what!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's right.
we know who the wolves are.
Those who teach the Bible, but without the revelation is the most dangerous wolves! If someone does not speak of the Bible, the sheep can see it easily. But if someone says by the Bible but from the flesh, he is a wolf. And even if he had gathered a large group, it still destroys the flock and scatters it. Because it's flesh. Teaching may be biblical , but may be not from God. Wolf is recognized not by the Bible but by the Spirit!

doesn't God use both (the Holy Spirit and the Bible) to teach His children discernment and maturity?
