Armies like the Russian and Ukrainians and even NATO and the US are blank mindless numbers to many people.

But to those who know its always referred to as a dinosaur euphemistic model of "tooth to tail" ratios.

"Tooth" are the guys who pull triggers, set traps and generally expend the munitions.
"Tail" are the guys who do logistics or maintenence mechanics or medical staff or food.

Tooth to tail ratios are different for each section of the military. Airforce might be very high tail to tooth....6 tail to one tooth. Infantry are 5 tooth to one tail. Maybe higher.

Russian armies are the highest teeth to tail....but that is very exploitable. Meaning that protracted wars are going to be extremely problematic for them. No supplies, no medical treatment, no food. But most importantly very very limited maintenance repairs for things like tanks or APCs.

Meaning that the army tends to treat equipment like its disposable. Launchers that fail on the 6th rocket tend to get ignored until only 2 rockets ever fire out of the thing and you are almost out of rockets....then it gets abandoned as well as whatever munitions are left.

So....Ukraine had picked up a bunch of tanks from their Fall Offensive and Russians abandoned tons of equipment pieces (tanks, trucks, missile batteries and etc) that all needed some sort of repair.

Now if Ukraine can cobble together enough Russian tanks &etc and have new equipment from NATO....they have a chance at holding the line from whatever line they decide is feasible.

Russia can claim victory and Ukraine can claim that a mouse has defeated a Bear.

However.....

Ukraine will likely be completely invited to NATO as a full member. Which is against Russian LAW....causing yet another round of Russian aggression. Or....maybe Russia will change their Law and learn to get along....but they never have in the past and still consider Poland and Slovakia "Russian territory " just like they do Ukraine.

Dunno what is coming....but this is far far from over. And considering that we have an election coming and Joe's numbers are in the dirt....I don't see this going well.

No, it is not going to end well.

The idea that the US national security interests demands that we fight a ground war in Ukraine against Russia is idiotic.

I'm more worried about surviving a nuclear attack than dying in one.

Because I know too much. I know infrastructure and can rebuild stuff. And the heartbreak would hurt way too much.

You had better read the NATO charter. No nation can become a member when there is an ongoing military conflict on their territory.

Furthermore, Z already tried......and got kicked to the curb. They said no, no way, no how.

This business of NATO membership for Ukraine is nothing more than hopium for the masses, meant to keep the war machine humming.

The rest of your post is absurd. Because the Russian regular forces have not even begun to engage. Stay tuned on that.

Hey the war machine is a profitable machine. Think about it, the US has little to do with this conflict and yet they have already kicked in $140 billion. Hasn't hurt Russia's GDP, they are doing better than Germany.

This isn't as begnein as two football teams....this is people fighting for their homes, farms, and the right to live.

Russia wants to remove these "luxuries" from Ukraine...and then the rest of the former Soviet Bloc nations of their luxuries too.

I don't understand the blood lust of Republicans....Ronald Reagan is rolling over in his grave because of this Evil Empire rising again and Republicans cheering it on.

Hold it, farms, homes and right to live -- I don't see why the Russians would be removing those. Then you say they are going to take away their luxuries, that I can believe. These are not the same thing. There are needs and there are wants.

There is a case in the Bible where the Jews were carried off to Babylon and Jeremiah told them not to rebel and they could return in 70 years, but those that rebelled were killed. Why is it any different with Ukraine? God is the one who sets up kings and replaces kings. It seems to me it would have been easy to make peace with Russia, they are the most heavily sanctioned nation in the world. Instead of fighting with Russia it seems making peace would have been far better for everyone involved except perhaps for Zelensky and anyone in Biden's administration that had something to hide in Ukraine.

Nonsense. I want an immediate cease-fire. It's Zelensky the traitorous puppet who is causing the needless deaths. He should initiate peace talks, but he will not because he has not been ordered to do so. Consequently Ukrainian teenagers continue to be massacred.

Okay,
but when the terms for peace is that all Ukranians must either die or become slaves of Russia....who is going to agree to this?

They already have in Crimea and the Donbas. Frankly they're probably much better off. At least they are going to survive the ethnic genocides ordered by the Kyiv Nazi Bandarists.

They are being used as cannon fodder by Russia....literallymade to walk in mine fields so the troops can advance....those who refuse are hanged...

The Ukranians didn't have any ethnic cleansing....one oligarch did and he is currently in jail.

Anymore fake news?

Like the DPR and LPR pro Russian volunteer army fighting the AFU since 2014? Yes, 100% ethnic Russians in that neck of the woods. And happy to have Russian protection from the murderous senseless AFU shelling.

So two wrongs make a "right"?

That's literally your argument here.

And these Russians are there deliberately to stir things up to destabilize the government. Sent and funded by Russia. We usually call that terrorism. YMMV

No......it's the shelling that's terrorism. As for a destabilizing the government.....Nuland and the boyz already successfully did that in 2014.

Defending themselves from an invading country is terrorism?

Donbass is invading Ukraine? I think not.
Donbas was always part of Ukraine....they shared in the Stalin created famine of the 1930's. And just about all of the Donbas region is devoid of infrastructure because Russia keeps shelling civilian targets like churches and hospitals.

Russia is a kleptocracy. Not sure that you realize that it's like a huge crime syndicate. There were leftovers from Soviet occupation from the 80's. Currently they are called Oligarchs. Two different of the oligarchs have been removed from Ukraine. One was traded to Russia for 100 POWs and another was jailed for being a thief...finally.

Russia continues with being a kleptocracy and sees no moral grounds for stopping.

Ukraine has been trying to clean up its act...trying to be more Westernized. But when criminals are part of the government as entrenched as Russia made them....it's difficult. They have the money and power to do as they please.

Now that the Russians are on their way out they attack and invade...making up anything and everything to claim Ukranians are evil. *so they can re-install a kleptocracy.

This was explained in detail during Trump's impeachment. (Because of Hunter Biden's involvement with the Oligarchs with some shady business dealings)

Kyiv regime keeps shelling civilian targets like churches and hospitals."

There you go.....now you have a statement of fact. See my earlier post where CNN reports on these incidences.
