I realize this may seem like a simple question with an obvios answer but I want you to really think about that question for a second.
Jesus is our savior he is our redeemer we can go before him like a small child and have an intimate child like love with him as we should and he even tells us we need to be like those little children he was with now remember he said to be like those little ones with him not simply meaning to have a childlike relationship with him but to be with him as those children were being with him at the time and focus on how they were acting with him this is how we should be with him and im sorry but if you dont have this with him then your in the wrong kind of relationship with him and you need to re connect with this kind of intimacy

But more than all of this first and foremost he is our Lord, now this means if we consider him our Lord we sumbit to him wholely we lay down our free will to him we give in completely we hold him in only the greatest reverence and honor not simply because we love him it is deserved it is due and his right as king no if ands or butts no excuses if he is king this is demanded if he is our Lord it is his to have from us you serve him as his right hand man obeying his every whim without question no hesitation he snaps you move.

Now this may sound harsh and those who know me know I am never harsh or really even blunt so if I am being in your face blunt you know im dead serious
When you served a king back when this was the main monarchy system you didnt question the authoirity of a king it was the highest position of the kingdom he was above you by many levels as a servant but for those who served a good and fair king these servants were looked upon with favor and some became their go to servant and would even be boasted about by the king sometimes to others these servants who would serve the king would be good and fasithful servants and held the king in high esteem after all he was a good and fair king and while such kings were rare they did exist

We are his servants he is our Lord we bow to him and him alone we call him our savior but his he our Lord? You know something that has always confused me is the book of acts. This is a book that shows the model that the church is to be you see these people doing ecactly what Jesus said we would do he said we would do greater things than the things he was doing and he was defying the laws of reality

But how often do you see this? The apostles walked in this presence of the holy spirit they didnt simply have the holy spirit no they walked in it they radiated power and authority they defied reality not just here and there like Jesus did no they did day in and day out and then you have all the teachings by Jesus now think about all he promised what we could do with hust the faith of a mustard yet we dont see much of this do we? For so long I wondered about this if you believe what is written you take it at its word you are reading the word of God meaning if your reading this book this means you are treating it as him actually speaking to you whether you believe he is the truth or a liar is up to you either believe what he is saying or dont no loop holes no doctrine or belief to try to explain things away either believe or dont believe thats it he doesnt want to hear about your understanding he says to lean not on your understanding, you have a doctrine you have believed for years? cool now go back and see how it stacks up against what he says in his actualy word that we call the bible and if you see any contradiction in your understanding even a small one it can be even just a single verse then mark that contradiction stop what your doing stop reading and go search his word why this contradition is and if it turns out there is even a chance you could be wrong then well sorry maybe you are and if your wrong about one contradiction in the foundation of your chosen doctrine and belief yjen odds are the rest of your building is shaky at best and now if he is our Lord then we dont question what his word says his word is not a suggestion its a law

You want to know why we dont walk in the spirit daily? You want to know why we dont live in his power and presence? its because we made him our savior we made him our best friend but we never made him our Lord. We as Christians are in the world but not of the world this means we should be existing in a different dimension here in what we call reality if your not living in a different dimension your just existing and living in the matrix of the world and yes you are of the world. This year is an important year because of the number 23 which in scripture represents death do a search throughout the bible guess how many times hell is mentioned? oh the number 23 is all throughout scripture dont look for the number itself search how many times a name or thing is mentioned with this number how many times is something mentioned twenty three time what verse has this number with it and what does this verse say how is this verse related to death?

As Christians we dont fear death and you know very early in my faith in my first visit to the spiritual realm which was very detailed and was my first visit to hell which I wont go into detail about here I first met death himself and I wasnt afraid of him i and even met him almost wanting to jump in his arms excited to see him.Now that is crazy if you jump into the arms of death wont you die? common sense would say yes but you know what good because I need to die to myself daily but what is promised for those who die in Christ? REssurection we are born again we now sgould have the breath of life in us but tell me how much life is in every word we speak how much life do we radiate and give? The living water itself should be overflowing out of us and I have actually met only one person in my entire life who even though he had burned and scarred skin all over his body and I was more than seven feet from him I felt actual life coming from this man merely from him being there life itself could be felt as he was getting his medication from the walmart pharmacy and I should have spoken to him at that time as I wanted to know how he had this life in him as I had only read about this kind of thing in the bible but I didnt.

This man looked like he had already died like he burned to death or something yet he was the only person who had the life of God in him so much it could be felt radiating from him he was the ideal Christian. This year is a year of death sorry if you were hoping for a good year of things going good that isnt happening death is coming but for the believer death is already well known thing death for us means dying to the flesh our bodies die daily so every morning we should wake up and die to ourselves and walk in resurrection what happened to Jesus when he was baptized? Baptism is supposed to be us submerging into waters as if we are in the waters of the womb again and coming out of the water being born again so techincally you are now officially born rxcept we call it born again dont we? Why do we do this? because yes we were birthed into this world but in this rebirth we are now born into his.

Now again this means we should be living in a different dimension dead to this world even though our flesh is in it but alive in the spirit and in Christ and if we are dead to the flesh this we are walking in a new body corruption sin sickness these are things of the flesh not things of God in Christ there is only life power and healing so why do we still deal with all this? well your thinking about the flesh not what the kingdom is if we are vessels and if this flesh is just basically a shell for him to fill then does the vessel go away? no we are like a car sure we have dents and have all kinds of the things wrong with us we make loud noises when we are started that raise concern because we were the driver and lets be honest we are terrible drivers and we dont take care of the vehichle well either that is why there is so much wrong with us but Jesus as a driver goes the right way every turn he is a responsible driver and how we ever got the liscence to drive is amazing because we crash into others and into everything around us all the time

And if Jesus owns this vehichle as in owns us he takes care of his things you wont see all this trashy looking appearance on the car he owns

If he is our Lord he owns us he guides every step we take but if he isnt our Lord then we havent surrendered to him and he doesnt really own us as a Lord owns all who is under him.

This year is also coincided with the hebrew year 5083 and trust me is important do a study on the numbers involved there and if you dont think much about the hebrew labguage then you need to think again because the symbols of every number and letter is supposed to be a message from God the hebrew language is considered a holy language for a reason and guess how many letters are in the hebrew language? No its not23 that would mean its a language of death it has 22 so it stops at 22 so its a living language not a dead one but guess how many letters are in the english language?

So yes this is not a normal year and you best beleive death is the theme but for those who die to themselves who surrender all who let him take the wheel and have ownership for those who make him their Lord they will see the power of God himself and they will have living water overflowing out of them they will walk in the spirit and their steps will be guided in everything they will be blessed because they gave up their will to their Lord they die daily in the flesh and live and walk in the resurrection and life of Christ. This a year to shut up and get serious because even prophetically even to someone who doesnt really study bible prophecy everyone can see the end times shoving itself in our face and if this is a year of death kind of gives a feeling that we dont have much time huh? Get your house in order choose now today who you serve youi got plans for today? Cool to bad his plan for today is the only plan that is perfect if you diied this morning your alive in him you surrendered yourself your gave over your flesh and now you are resurrected not just when your saved but every single morning of everyday you need to die or else this power you read about this world defying existance wont be yours because your still alive in your flesh and you can say he is your Lord but is he?

To be honest this is something I myself am still trying to grasp and I am nowhere near grasping it trust but I felt God telling me to speak on these things and not to just speak on them but to bash them over everyones heads I have had his actual power poured into me to the point I was so stunned and could only sit there smiling with the biggest grin on my face laughing like an idiot I had his presence in my room so thick and dense that I refused to leave my room even purposely missing my eye doctor appointment which is vital for my eyes as I have been trying to heal my eyes for six years now but when your in his glorious beautiful and powerful presence your home your in the kingdom your in a different dimension and you know it and your not leaving it for anything this has happened several times I had supernatual experiences that I never had before I had the holy spirit posses my body in church moving it without my control walking up to the stage where the preacher was preaching powerfully and this was with a broken foot mind you and when I got to the top of the stairs in a trance several other people suddenly ran behind as if they knew what was about to happen and the preaching put her hands on my and began speaking in tongues for the first time ever I fell backwards with no strength or choice in the matter the second she put her hands on me and the other people caught me and as I lay there overwhelmed by the spirit as everyone had their hands on me praying in tongues i could only stare upwards smiling I even tried to force myself up but just couldnt

I even when I got home had his presence with me and this was when he first filled my room in an ocean of his presence and I got on my knees and surrendered to him even bowing my head all the way to the ground my body curled up before him and these things happened and lasted for three days and sometimes rarely he sometimes fills my room again

So to me he is foreshadowing something and I cant wait for when he fills my room with his presence again. Chase his presence seek it and dont stop until you find it his presence is something you will never understand yet it is home it is him it is his love his power it is his kingship

Blain, you actually make good points in your posts. Many 'Christians' today are nothing more than 'Lip Service' Christians and neither Jesus nor His teachings play any real part in their personal lives. Sad, but true.

Is Jesus my Lord?

Yes, but I'm still a work in progress. In other words, there are still areas of my life that I'm working on, but I am truly working on them daily, and genuinely progressing, slowly but surely, in my walk with the Lord.

I was fine with the general theme of Christ's Lordship in your posts, but I am also greatly concerned about some things that you said which I find to be erroneous. Having just read your testimony, I won't mention any of them here and now, but I'll just pray for you instead.

You make some great points about the need of Jesus Christ being ones Lord, not just ones Savior.

However, this testimony is full of Doctrinal errors. You seem to have had an experience that does not harmonize with Scripture.

The Holy Spirit does not take over bodies like someone who has been possessed. He influences the one He indwells but does not take over control of us or use us in such a way as we have no control over our bodies.

The Scripture clearly forbids women preachers in the true houses of the Lord.

I leave it at that.

Thanks might be wiser to back up some things you said with scripture. For me no offense I liked reading it but it seems allot based on experiences and feelings. Just now reading up seems I am not the only one that noticed this. Don't get me wrong oh the experinces are wonderful and we tend to want to live there and then bounce around to keep having those. Take what you said about the 12 (for me with Paul). Those letters NT some so many years had passed one 25 years. Yet we read it as if that was happening ever day and it was not. Sorry they the 12 were human like you and me. Had good days bad days. Look how long Peter walked with Christ and all the things Peter saw that we never have yet after those year in one moment denied Christ 3 times. Take Paul he did things he didn't want to do and the things he should do he didn't. Take Tim he was told stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

What you said about walking in the spirit "you want to know why we dont walk in the spirit daily? You want to know why we dont live in his power and presence? its because we made him our savior we made him our best friend but we never made him our Lord. " Well praise God I can see where you are coming from and why would you say this. See you know your right yet the person above me believes women can preach I believe they can. Ooh what if were both right? See I see it differently. If I was a woman and shared all the experiences I have had with the lord and all the preaching I did awelight could say great but that still does not make it right and would then quote scripture. My personal experiences are real as they are do not go above scripture. Its one way we test the spirits why even when God talks we should ask "ok I need chapter and verse". He would smile for He's the one that told us to use scriptura. He will say "did I not say, is it not written".

Amen.

This reminds me of what Peter wrote in his second epistle.

2 Peter 1

16For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Despite what Peter saw and heard while on the Mount of Transfiguration, he said that we have a more sure word of prophecy that we would do well to take heed to. In other words, no experience of ours should ever trump what is written in the scriptures because what the prophets wrote wasn't of any private interpretation of their own, but rather what was inspired by the Holy Ghost.

I No its not23 that would mean its a language of death it has 22 so it stops at 22 so its a living language not a dead one but guess how many letters are in the english language?
you know if I tell you hello in English

a and if I tell you hola in Spanish the word is spelled different but it means the same thing

Gods word isn’t limited to specific spelling and languages at all

innorder to translate language no one speaks in ntonone they do speak you have to translate what’s being said not the words themselves many languages don’t have comparable words or one word may express a whole sentence in another language

That’s how translation works because ancient people didn’t speak like we do you have to translate the meaning of what thier words re actually saying e meankng they are conveying into words that convey the same thing in another language

air really doesn’t matter what alphabet you wrote in , it matter what alphabet you understand d can convey and receive concepts in

hebrews didn’t use the same letter , same order of words , same words at all translation is never word for word or letter for letter it is concept for concept based on how each language says the concept and conveys it to another language

Jesus is definately everyone’s lord there’s only one lord of heaven and earth but the question is not how does this language spell a term or what letters they use the question is “ what does the term “ lord “ mean to you in the language hat you speak and understand ?

remember this when considering a “sacred” language when the gospel began to be preached Hebrew men spoke it in every language under heaven

they didn’t magically make everyone indersrsnd ancient Hebrew instead God enables them to preach the gospel in words hey understood from all nations and languages

“Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:6-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s where translations of the Bible cruelly came from Gods power to spread his word to all nations giving us all a change to hear and believe
It’s not which language it’s the true message

When our Father gives us something to do or something to say, the Hly Spirit does come over us and we dod as we are guided to do. This is true, for I have experienced this in various manners, and it is wonderful.
I supppose it is when we believe and have availed ourselves to the Father. This is not a doctrine, it is simply the truth.

Your mistake was saying doctrinal error. My testimony has nothing to do with doctrine it is about God. I experienced what did by the hand of God and because I surrendered in the moment I could feel him trying to take over I got to experience God in a way that I never dreamed and as for your comment on the word of God speaking on women pastors does it really say that or are you reading it with the lenses of your already preconcieved beliefs?

Because you may not even be aware of these lenses as you read the word of God and unless I am mistaken we are supposed to read it through the lenses of the holy spirit.

See if you honestly want truth and honestly want to understand the bible then you better get serious and drop any doctrine you think is truth.

Doctrine has done nothing but seperate the body of Christ and delde the word of God, you think God gives a crap what you or I think is truth? He is the truth and that is it and his word is exactly that his word if you really believe the bible is the word of God then you better treat it that way and listen to ever word uttered with all your attention because he is speaking and you are being quet and listening.

You are the student he is the teacher and if a student goes to listen to his teacher thinking he is right in his thinking while the teacher is speaking truth it will go right over their heads

We all need re dedicate ourselves to the word of God but do it right when you read the bible before you even open it you need to ask yourselves and ask yourself honestly do you seek truth?

You can say what will but you see I got results I experienced God on supernatual levels tell me when was the last time God filled your room with his glorious presence? I'm done playing games im moving ahead to depths with him we only read about from the bible Im going after Jesus and Im going to prove all his promises are true and I will not wait around concerning myself with doctrine and I am going to be activated I am going togo to places and be kingdom come minded and I will leave all of you behind

I seek the truth We say anything is possible with God but we dont believe that and we are lying to ourselves if we think otherwise, are we proof of this? Does the world the power of God You know the most beautiful words ever uttered from the human lips is I surrender and we need to surrender to him if we really have surrendered to him then we would live in his will and if we lived in his will we would be overflowing with life We as the church are pathetic We are so inniffective as the so called children of God and does the world see proof of this?

So back to the word of God you can have a doctrinal mind if you want but if yoou really want to know the truth of the word of God then you better leave all that at the door forget doctrine or denomination and dont assume you know or understanding anything just listen to the word of God as pure truth from the mouth of God thats it soak in this and dont call the bible the word of God if you treat it as such

It’s not which language it’s the true message
The word of God was originally written in hebrew and greek and trust me its always best to read something from the original source but language or translation isnt what we should concern ourselves with what we should concern ourselves with is even after all our studying all the years and days and nights reading the word of God do we even understand it at all? And do we apply the word of God to our lives? If I gave you a dare a challendge to wake up from the second you wake up with every thing that requires a choice ask your self before even act what does the word of God say about that?

Ask yourself this in everything all day and whatever the word of God says about it accept it dont question it and then apply it to that situation do this for seven days and tell the results

If one took on such a challenge they would see if they really understood the word of God because the results and how God would move would be a game changer to them. If we claim to understand the word of God but dont see results what good is the word of God to us? We need to seriously ask ourselves if we understand the word of God how do we aplly it to our lives and ourselves and do we see results do we see God move when we aplly his word? Because he is not a liar and he doesnt care what we think we understand he is telling us and we need to be quiet and listen there is life and actual power in the word of God it is alive but few know this because we as the church have fallen asleep and he is calling us right here and now he is raising an army for those who answer the call but it seems to me we need to get serious we need to have the zeal and fire for Christ that scares people we by all accounts are supposed to be different strange even we are supposed to bring his kingdom with us and not just show who our God is but prove it and it all begins with surrender.

The most amazing experience I had with him was not even when his presence filled my room it was when I was brought to my knees my heave to the ground curled up even before and surrendered to him and made him my king and Lord. That surrender letting everything go letting him take everything of me and everything inside me completely giving him ownership over me as if i have no will of mine was the most beautiful and powerful thing and the joy and gift of surrender lead me down a new path with him I had my eyes opened to the word of God seeing exactly just how pure and powerful it really is and I am still in training in all of this

But im dead serious we all need to really get serious about our walk with him he isnt playing around anymore

Attitude or being bold? Look at this site it is constantly in debates and arguments with few who can be reasoned with and admit they might be wrong and for years I had tried to reach everyone explaining the conduct and trying to get people to be able to actually learn and grow in debates not just be in them I am normally very meek but being gentle and respectful falls on deaf ears and it just goes over peoples heads if they even pay attention at all

So maybe I might offend some people I may even seem like im being rude but im not here to be gentle anymore if I have to seem like a jerk to get through to people then so be it but if you read my words carefully you will see im not trying to be a jerk and some might even see the truth of God in what I say

When I say I will leave all of you behind I am not trying to be rude im being dead serious you will be left behind God is not playing around anymore and he is activating people and the church as a whole for a long time has been asleep even if we think we are not asleep while we live in the current state of our faith but Jesus preached about the kingdom all the time perhaps more than anything else and we are supposed to be his representatives we should be bringing the kingdom to the world but look how ineffective we are as the body

So yeah im not ok with that and if we want to know his glory and what is really possible if we want to really be what a Christian is to be then we need to get with the program and if you are satisfied with your faith and you are ok with your influence upon the people around you then thats fine but we are supposed to have an intense hunger for him a deep thirst at all time the zeal and fire of God is supposed to make us alien to the world yet most of the time you cant tell at first if a person is a Christian or not we seem just like anyone else in the world

Now I by no means have any right to act like I am any better I am only just starting on this journey but I have been exposed to deep hidden truths because of it and have seen actual results and I want to know more I want to know what the truth actually is I have been exposed to the kingdom and I want others to go on this journey with him too because wow I thought I was close with him before but there is a whole other worldly closeness with him that only comes with surrender

I get what you're saying, but you're painting with way too broad of a brush here. For example, I'm constantly striving to live exactly the way that you just described, so you're not leaving me behind at all.

Are there seemingly a lot of people here who are basically spinning their wheels and wasting precious time?

I'm certainly not omniscient, but it does seem that way with some people. For example, for the life of me, I can't imagine Christians just sitting around and playing silly games here while the harvest is truly perishing in the field. I sometimes, momentarily, say or do something idiotic and wasteful here myself, but, overall, I'm very sober and dedicated in my submission to my Lord, and the lost who are perishing are ever before my eyes and in my thoughts.

It might be best if you just try to lead by example as opposed to just publicly berating people as a whole. Again, do some people here seemingly need a wake up call? I'd be lying if I said that it doesn't appear so to me, but, again, I'm not God. I don't know what people here do when they're not on this forum. Maybe they're actively seeking to serve the Lord? I certainly hope so. Whatever they're doing, I'm accountable unto God for my own actions. I've therefore determined that whatever time I spend here is going to be spent trying to help, encourage, or admonish others. I'd like to think that I've had a positive impact on at least a person or two here already in my short time here. Whether I have or haven't, that is certainly my goal going forward.

The Scripture clearly forbids women preachers in the true houses of the Lord.
Complete and utter nonsense!

Acts 18v24-26: A woman teaches "the way of God more accurately" to an apostle!

You've a problem with "male chauvinism," sir!

She was with her husband who had authority over her. And notice it was no in public, but took him unto them in a private manner. No male chauvinism, just Bible.

25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

Blain how you doing my friend? Heard of your rough patch and am glad to see your up and well.
Ive read many of your post, this one included.
I agree some of what is called doctrine is not found in the word of GOD but is found in the minds of those who want to believe that it is.
I also agree that the hebrew language along with the greek are more infomative in its descriptions and meanings.
Also that GOD has purposed every yot and tittle for his good pleasure. Along with the numbers having purpose.
I believe that GOD speaks to us in our understanding and that he cannot be put in a box for his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are higher.
I believe doctrine must be established on foundational truth bringing clarity to scripture not discourse.
This being said brother always humble yourself before God. Just as Samuel .....said here am i Lord speak.
To seek after truth is one of the greatest things we can do. We tend to get over excited and tend to puff up see that you control this urge.
Somtimes its over whelming when God wants to show us something....we get ahead of the one who is leading us.
The Lord says ...be still and know that I am.
Praying for you and with you my friend. May the Lord open his understanding to you.

I am aware that are those like you and the tone in which I spoke isnt meant for you/ It was meant to be kind of harsh to speak to people who live a casual christian life who have lost their zeal and fire and have forgotten who they are. See I dont opperate like a lot of people as a writer I can only express myself and show my true self in written form if you met and spoke to me in real life you wouldnt recognize me at all im a different person but one thing about me and God is from day one I always tell him I am here use me

So knowing these things a lot of times I write things on here not even knowing why I said it it can be a response to a post or it can be a poem I write but everytime I feel the flow and the words just come to me I dont think before I write I never know what I am going to say I just naturally am able to tune into him and speak things that many have credit as wise and some have even told me how they can feel the holy spirit in what I say

So I dont make threads often but I felt God call to make the thread not even knowing what it was going to be about This is just how am and I cant be any other way and as soon as I made the thread I was given the title and then I was overcome with a serious and fiery spirit the opposite of my nature and the words just flooded out and honestly I could feel the frustration from God.

But the frustration was one from a fatheras many of his children have fallen asleep and I could feel how he has tried and tried to get us to listen but we are a stubborn children and he is tired of waiting. He is calling and he is going to take those who answer the call and leaving everyone else behind many are called but few are chosen

think about that the chosen why were they chosen? Was it because they were ordained? No its because they answered the call it speaks about a calling before it speaks about the chosen If people take anything from what I have written is that the time of the casual Christian is over and that is dead serious now no more playing around you either get with the program or not andyou know I spoke about results earlier because I am after results well right after I wrote that original post His presence was there instantly wrapping itself around me and I honestly could have sworn actual oil was being dripped on my head yet oddly enough my head was dry amd then I saw a bright light fill my vision then everywhere I looked I saw this light through the lenses of my eye like headlights as if my eyes had his light in them so I know what I wrote and what I did was from God because I got results I felt a calling I said yes lets go and I was rewarded so I may ruffle some feathers I may seem like im angry snd maybe people will be offended and I say good because try to imagine how he feels he is a father who may be loving and patient and kind but dont forget he gets angry too just like any other father

I want people to read what I write here from the lenses of God I want the church as a whole to feel the seriousness of this and I wont apo;agize for what he calls me to say either I follow the flow its how he and I operate but if people read what I have written and they feel the holy spirit speaking as if he is asking if we are really serious about following Christ this is the purpose of the thread and he is done waiting for us to wake up

All I can say is that if God can use you to help stir up folks to more fully dedicate themselves to the Lord, then more power to you.

As for me, even though I've only been here a short while, I'm already feeling that a very high percentage of my own labor here is in vain, so I'll probably cut back on my own participation in these threads for a bit as I continue to seek the Lord's will for my own life.

Have a great day in Jesus.

So back to the word of God you can have a doctrinal mind if you want but if yoou really want to know the truth of the word of God then you better leave all that at the door forget doctrine or denomination and dont assume you know or understanding anything just listen to the word of God as pure truth from the mouth of God thats it soak in this and dont call the bible the word of God if you treat it as such
Leave Doctrine at the door? Never going to happen. ALL Truth, is Doctrine and Doctrine is what separates believers from those who are imitation. Either we follow the Doctrinal Truths are we are following something else. That something else are our experiences. Experiences are subjective and most be measured against the Objective Truth revealed, the Scriptures, as to their genuineness.

Acts 17:11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.

As to the importance of Doctrine:

Job_11:4 For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.

Rom_16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

Eph_4:14 that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

1Ti_1:3 As I exhorted thee to tarry at Ephesus, when I was going into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge certain men not to teach a different doctrine,
1Ti_1:10 for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for men stealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;
1Ti_6:1 Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine be not blasphemed.
1Ti_6:3 If any man teaches a different doctrine, and consent not to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness
;

There are many more verses on the importance of good Doctrine.

If my Christian life or that of another does not follow sound Doctrine then we must examine ourselves. Doctrines are simply the Truths of God placed into specific categories, for the purpose of instruction. Example Theology, Soteriology, Eschatology and so on.

Leave Doctrine at the door? May it never be.
