Looks like Elon Musk was all about "free speech" until it is no longer convenient to let free speech take its course. So Musk wants to have it both ways. Now he is censoring discussions about this shooting (plus other kinds of censorship). Also he did not clean out that nest of vipers so someone released Twitter's source code (partially) just a couple of days ago.
Politicians, journalists are locked out of Twitter for tweets about trans shooter targeting Nashville Christian school

It seems that this trans shooter had a grudge about being sent to that school. Which brings up the question "Why do Christian schools allow all and sundry to become students?" In my opinion, Christian schools should be limited to kids who have professed their faith in Christ, and likewise teachers who are sincere Christians. This is by definition of "Christian", and it is in fact a ministry to Christian parents and children. At the same time all government handouts should be shunned, and governments at all levels must be told to stay out of that which is a free exercise of religious beliefs. But if Christian schools have not learned anything from all the mass shooting within schools, it means that their administrators are not paying attention to what is really going on.

1. Like you said, " In my opinion, Christian schools should be limited to kids who have professed their faith in Christ, and likewise teachers who are sincere Christians."
When I applied to a Bible college MA program, I had a discussion with an administrator. I was told that most students offer vague responses to their question about their salvation. Mine was detailed as was surprisingly unique for applicants.
I can only respond that I found it simply clear what the issues of salvation were, based upon the gospel of John and many other passages. I really wonder how many are truly believers in Christ who attend the primary all the way to post graduate degrees in those school. I would say, given my experience witnessing to them, it's a small percentage with exception of those schools founded by good Gospel preaching, Bible believing churches. Those are the vast minority.
2. Elon Musk sounds like he has an agenda based on his own biases. I would be extremely surprised if he sincerely allowed free speech for all who speak for Christian values and against the evils he has supported.
3. You mentioned, "At the same time all government handouts should be shunned, and governments at all levels must be told to stay out of that which is a free exercise of religious beliefs."
When our country's founding governmental documents were being debated, there were many members from various denominational backgrounds. The establishment churches of many colonies were for taxing the citizens to tithe to their particular denominations. There was one group of christians that opposed that. Do you happen to know which one?
