All I know is the New Testament writers saw fit to record His name in Greek and everyone knew who they were talking about. Now, thousands of years later, some Judaizers want to usurp God's word. The more things change the more they stay the same.

It is certain the Priests up until and after our Lord's first coming learned, spoke and taught in the Hebrew of the time for no country, simply changes to an invading forces language like some kind of magic. All of this is not proven,nor can it be, so it is not aithful to the Word to say it is. Where in the Word does it say it must be changed dto Greek?

Actually the overwhelming evidence is that God caused the Hebrew writers of the Gospels to record everything in GREEK in the original manuscripts. This was by divine inspiration, and had the originals not been in Greek, we would not have thousands of Greek manuscripts!
Why did God choose Greek? Because the Gospel was to be spread throughout the Roman empire, and Greek was the lingua franca of the Roman empire. Even non-Palestinian Jews are called "Greeks" in the NT, since they adopted Greek as their language. Hence the corrupt Septuagint (LXX) was in Greek.

In any event the fact remains that the whole world is familiar with the name JESUS. Christian missionaries and churches took the name of Jesus to every part of the world. So now some people are trying to rewrite history to obliterate a historical fact.
because brother God has foreknowledge he understood perfectly that the Greek language would dominate that ancient world then and spread across the globe becoming the root of modern English which is a big part of the worlds population that speaks exclusively English , in those days remember Greece had dominated the world for very long time it’s culture and language mixed with most every culture of that ancient world which eventually led to the Roman Empire and all of its great fluencies upon modern culture today

The gospel has to be preached in every nations language it would do no one any good to go around preaching in ancient samarian of ancient Hebrew no one speaks that language in the world unite really of course some few do but you can’t preach the good news of God to every creetiee and give them a chance to be saved if they can’t understand what your saying
it seems simple if a person is a Hebrew speaker they would say “ yeshua “ and if someone is a Greek or by of the many rooted languages in Greek like English we would say “ Jesus “ because of the different letters and sounds we have in the modern English language.

the thing is the Old Testament was written exclusively to Israelites , it has a lot about everyone else in it but it was only God speaking to Hebrew people beginning at moses so of course the ot is going to be in thier languages
But the New Testament came at a time when Rome was influencing the world and Greece had already dominated for long time the Greek language would spread across the world and so the New Testament would be written in Greek to all nations where that language would go and influence and be known
because of who the New Testament is actually written to it was written in Greek because that language god foreknew would reach out to the ends of the earth and witness

But the opposite effect happened one message is manifest in many languages by God

Jesus knows who we are talking to , if we think we need to say the Hebrew form of his name for him to hear it seems like someone would have said that in the scripture

Greek would be what spread abroad to witness the gospel so I personally think the Greek form of his name is just perfect or the Hebrew form of one insists also perfectly fine he cares more about whether we’re sincere and live the talk

the truth is those things are written in Hebrew because they were the only people God spoke with in the Old Testament after he created different languages and scattered the nations in genesis 11. Of course the entire old testament is written in Hebrew originally they are the Hebrew Scriptures it’s what defines thier nation as a nation it’s thier existence as a nation really he wasn’t communicating verbally with gentiles at the time so he is t going to have then write in English or Greek
just as th ot is written in Hebrew because it’s written to them for them about them
the nt is written in Greek because it’s written to all people and that language the Greek and not the ancient Hebrew is what went into the world carrying the message to all nations

no one has said Gods name isn’t important to him some are insisting one speaks ancient Hebrew and pronounces his name in that dialect , that’s the debate do you need to say his name is the Hebrew language for him to honor it ?

elijah in the Hebrew , Elias in the Greek it’s not a different name brother it’s a different language with different sounds made by different letters it’s translation and the mechanism of how it works
There aren’t j sounds in Hebrew it sounds like “yeh” instead of “Jee” if I said your name in Hebrew there’s a good chance given the letters it’s going to sound different d be spelled dofferent in Hebrew but it isn’t a different name it’s your name being said in someone else’s language
