God Himself accepts your confession,
sheds blood for you,
damns your enemies for you,
puts a new robe on you made by His own hand,
promises you all evil will be destroyed in you,
preserves the way to life for you,
calls you an image of Christ,
says you are become like Him...

How in the world do you call that "cursed"???

some students, smh

The Truth is that neither Adam nor his wife were cursed. they both confessed their sin, and were given sorrow and new garments made by God's own hand with the first shedding of blood in all the scripture, then given the promise of the protoevangelion - which Adam believes and displaying his faith, changes his wife's name to "mother of living" for which God Himself says BEHOLD!!! Adam has become like Us, and then again later in Romans Adam is also explicitly called a type of Christ.

portraits of Christ are not people damned to hellfire.

That is salvation, not the curse of God.
The curse of God is the lake of fire that was created for Satan.

The Truth is that most of the modern Laodecian church despises wisdom, loves simplicity, and has Genesis 3 horribly wrong.
Many like to reconfigure the scriptures to make god in their image and likeness.

It's sad. And horribly wrong.

I'm going to assume that there is purpose in Jesus returning as a woman if He were planning to do so, other than just because. For what purpose would this be at all practical?

Maybe to reiterate what some don't agree with in their faith and practice. There is no male or female, we are all one in Christ Jesus.
It would prove what early Jewish writings said about Holy Spirit being both male and female.

And it would put an end to the argument that insists Jesus can't do that. 😆❤️

Scripture says, "My beloved is the fairest of ten thousand," and I believe this saying goes of Jesus as much among women as it does among all men. There was a time that when one spoke of "he" in general, the pronoun applied to females also. For example, "he who laughs lasts laughs..." That is, he was often used generally speaking and she was only used specifically referring to a female, and scripture has never been written, "she will return" with concern of the second coming of Jesus. I'm also reminded of a recent thought my son, Joshua, whom has always been observant of the most peculiar things since he was able to begin expressing them, had that there is no female equivalent for the name, Jesus. He and his wife were considering name for their new daughter. I understand your sentiment but, I'm not convince Jesus will return in the form of a woman to prove anything that hasn't already been and so always will be truth.

As for names for the birth of a future baby daughter it may help in seeking a feminine version of Jesus' name to recall the event prior to his birth.

The angel told Mary she would name her child Emmanuel meaning, God with us.

Emmanuel or Emmanuel's fit for a female name.

In the Hebrew he would have been addressed as Yeshua, which translates to Joshua.
For the Feminine that would move to Joshualyn, or even Joshanna.

Emmanuel, Yeshua likely was never addressed as "Jesus" during his lifetime because Jesus is a derivative of Greek and middle English.

The angel told Mary she would name her child Emmanuel meaning, God with us.
Hello again Butterfly, I don't believe that's true, is it  (since there seems to be no confusion, by Joseph or by Mary, that their firstborn Son was to be named "Jesus", not Emmanuel). If it is (true Biblically) please point me/us to the NT verse or passage that shows us that it is. Thanks :)

Immanuel/Emmanuel is a descriptive title that was given to Jesus (prophetically) in the Book of Isaiah. It is not His given Name (Isaiah gives us other descriptive names/titles for Him as well, such as, "Everlasting Father" and "Prince of Peace", but they are just like "Immanuel" is).

Please take note that the prophesy from Isaiah (see Matthew 1:22-23 below) was included in the passage by Matthew (not by the angel) in order to point out its fulfillment to us (I don't believe that the name/title of "Immanuel" was ever mentioned by the angel, at least, not that we know of).

To use an analogy, Wayne Gretsky is considered to be the greatest hockey player of all time and, as a result, was named/is often called or referred to as, "The Great One". Nevertheless, "Wayne" is still his name. "The Great One", on the other hand, is a descriptive title that tells us an important fact about him.

So it is with the Lord Jesus' descriptive title, Emmanuel.

Getting back to the Scriptures, the only three passages in the NT concerning the angel, Mary and Joseph, and the naming of the Messiah (that I can remember anyway) are the ones at the bottom of this post (the Matthew 1 passage concerns the interaction between the angel and Joseph, and the one from Luke 1 is between the angel and Mary). Please tell me if I have forgotten one.

Thanks :)

Matthew 1
18 The birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
19 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.
20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 “She will bear a Son; ~and you shall call His name Jesus~, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
23 “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”
24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,
25 but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name ~Jesus~.
Luke 1
26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth,
27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”
29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.
30 The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
31 “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him ~Jesus~.
32 “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
Luke 2
21 When eight days had passed, before His circumcision, His name was then called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.

It's true in both Old and New Testaments. You don't believe it's true. That doesn't matter to the truth.
I stopped reading your post when you denied scripture.

Matthew 1:23 and Isaiah 7:14 of the Bible, a virgin will conceive a child and give birth to a son who they will call Immanuel, which means ‘God’ or ‘with us’.

FOOTNOTE

See v. 13 for a similar construction.sn You will name him Jesus. This verse reflects the birth announcement of a major figure; see 1:13; Gen 16:7; Judg 13:5; Isa 7:14. The Greek form of the name Iēsous, which was translated into Latin as Jesus, is the same as the Hebrew Yeshua (Joshua), which means “Yahweh saves” (Yahweh is typically rendered as “Lord” in the OT). It was a fairly common name among Jews in 1st century Palestine, as references to a number of people by this name in the LXX and Josephus indicate.

this does not support your earlier statement that the angel told them His name would be Emmanuel.

It supports what Deuteronomy said.

Yeahua means God is Salvation.
God with us is how we are saved.
He is called Emmanuel because He is God and dwelt among us, lives now in us who believe, and will dwell with us in the resurrection.

No, he claimed the name was Jesus because he apparently thinks the Luke verse he wasn't fully aware of, which is why I added the CJB version and NET footnote link, overrides or cancels the first verse that refers to the angel and Emmanuel.

what i see is that you said this:

The angel told Mary she would name her child Emmanuel
but i don't see that anywhere in the Bible.
everywhere in the gospels, including Luke, the angel tells Mary that Christ will be named Jesus.

the footnote adds nothing to this discussion.

in Matthew 1:21-23 Joseph is told also he will name Him Jesus -- saying this fulfills the word of the LORD through Isaiah saying He will be called Immanuel.

very clearly, neither Mary nor Joseph was told by an angel to name Him Immanuel.
they were both told to name Him Jesus.

from Matthew however we know that the name Jesus fulfills the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14
there is no question then, that your earlier comment was incorrect.
the question is why the name Jesus fulfills the prophecy of being called Immanuel -- and the answer is that God Himself being found in the form of a man, being born a man, among mankind, giving His life as a man, is exactly salvation. He is with us always.
