Really? Has anyone had that experience personally? I remember seeing an episode of a TV show about that maybe 20 years ago, it was called "Cover Me" and it was about a family whose dad was a member of the FBI. It followed the kids growing up and finding out what he said, and how they wondered about religion as well as why the family changed churches so often.
I don't know how long that show ran or what the outcome was, but there was one.

The Catholic church has been running Jesuits to do so. as spies for centuries. Jesuits according to catholic writings were created to infiltrate the protestant churches to destabilise them and return them to Catholicism. According to the bible Catholicism will one day combine with many protestant churches that do not follow Gods word to try dominate world politics and trade. This is the written and recorded belief of almost every founder of the major protestant churches prior to this period where churches are now randomly formed without church members being aware what the difference is between being protestant and being catholic. I hope the FBI has noted developments of this nature and that they are trying to put these in check and not that they are just trying to turn us all into atheist.

A. I don't think that the vast majority of those employed by those agencies care what is going on in churches. There are good and bad in any large organization it seems reasonable to think.
B. Some have been led to Christ.
C. Some have shared personal details having participated in my social Christian activities and meals.
D. Over time you learn through those you know who others are.
E. One of my gifts is discernment of spirits.
F. At a couple meetings, we've had several show up in partial uniform. You might think they were masquerading as such, but that makes no sense to me in that context. Maybe you can explain why people would dress up as a member of a gt agency to attend a Bible study or social gathering. Maybe you are right?
G. There have been whistleblowers as sources of articles written in the media to inform the public that there are many assigned to the evangelical mega churches around America.
H. A pastor who ran for high political office years ago had a report circulated throughout the bureau and state police to report his followers, ie. Bumper stickers, etc. Those who were supporters of that pastor and of Ron Paul, were to be reported to the bureau. Apparently, there are those in charge of the agency who have political agendas. They use their position to influence or criminalize supporters of their political opposition. They have an unlimited budget and employees to use for political manipulation. Who would ever dream that could happen?
I wasn't questioning your abilities as a judge of character. In my experience most adults can and do make accurate character assessments, the problem with a police agent arises when one knows someone to be of bad character and colludes anyway (it's racketeering). What I was concerned about is the fact that when working in plainclothes, a cop is still required to be wearing his bade visibly. Either they're bad cops or they're bogus, and not cops at all.

If they are doing this with the liberal Roman Catholic churches, then we can presume that it's been going on for a long time in other churches. They are to be excluded from fellowship. Galatians 2:4

There were also some of my students that told me of their work days when something interesting occured. Just small talk, usually to brag. That's pretty normal.for guys to brag.
DHS has huge networks that commit corporate espionage. They get jobs at big corporations to spy and gather Intel. C
A owns many major corporations and steal their competitors' secrets to gain financial advantage. There's a long history of that. Jenifer Gardner starred in a popular series that was based on that.

Yes, but what are they looking for? Most corporate espionage is "headhunting", the practice of seeking to recruit agents, sales representatives, or advertisers with a lot of business connections in their rolodexes to work for a new company, bring the client base along with them. It meets with mixed success, because the person's business associates might be brand loyal instead of just happy doing business with that person specifically. There's also industrial espionage, which focuses on pilfering technological secrets and chemical formulas. for example.

Not all of the groups they infiltrated were religious groups but for instance MLK's organization was/is and so was Jim Jones "peoples temple", (Pentecostal) https://jonestown.sdsu.edu/?page_id=16572 and these are the reasons why(I think) there are the different opinions surrounding many of the events afterwards i.e. 9/11,Branch Dividians,Peoples Temple,Manson ect. The anti war Hippies in the 60's,70's regarded the same to have taken place with them(agents infiltrated the farms where they gathered in groups).
