I would say it's about as pleasing to God as playing golf, tinkering on an old ford mustang, cruising a Christian forum looking for opportunities to put other Christians down or any other pointless and potentially wasteful hobby.
But the question remains: is the Holy Ghost hovering over a Moody Blues concert pleased at how Jesus is being glorified?

You tell me.

Oh I would venture to guess that a moody blues concert is far LESS pleasing to God. I mean, I can pray while doing those innocuous hobbies.

And you are conflating "putting down" with "calling out".
Most of the lyrics to their songs are life lessons, experiences of individuals, and mush more. No, it is not the Gospel, but they are lessons in morality, and morality is correct, I believe,, according to the Word.
It is like having a firearm; it is only dangerous if misused.

Frankly, I have fled (and I mean fleeing with haste) from that whole rock and roll scene when I was but a lad. Bye bye forever. And good riddance.

Being force fed that stuff was a terrible experience. Glad I am out. For good. No looking back like Lot's wife either. No yearning for the fish leeks and garlic of Egypt either.

Isa 52:11
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

This is in reference to the Great Harlot and her daughters..................that would be the Apostasy thatt began at the time of the first coming of our Lord, and has grown freely since. Yes, we should not be a part of her nor of her daughters.

Wow, another Moody Blues fan. If you like them you must like at least some of Dire Straits' works. Of course
there is no comparison to Moody Blues who never fail for me. Again, a big most positive YES on the Moody Blues.
Good morning, JaumeJ .:). (well, it is morning here .;):giggle:.) Yes, I am a long-time Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler
fan, also, although I am not sure I see their connection with the Moody Blues aside from superb musicianship
and lyrics
.:). I have only seen Mark in concert a couple of times: once in the late eighties, when he was touring
with Eric Clapton, and again a few years ago when he opened up for Bob Dylan. I really like listening to the concerts
he did throughout the twenty tens, including a couple while he was in Spain. Like these, from 2015 and 2019:

I think you are wrong about that kind of narrow interpretation. Paul quotes and interprets Isa 52:11 for us.

2Co 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

No Christian would entertain the notion of attending a "rock concert" devoid of the presence of Jesus.
In fact, it is pretty obvious that people attend for that very reason.
Another great Judge among us.

I've attended secular rock concerts. I listen to secular music.

You actually pay good money for that? And the gas and travel and fighting the crowds?

Amazing.

I would not give them one single solitary dime of my money for their doings.

Edit : "no Christian SHOULD"

Better now? I mean in terms of being palatable to your taste.

But the question remains: is the Holy Ghost hovering over a Moody Blues concert pleased at how Jesus is being glorified?

You tell me.
There is beauty in their music. We are to appreciate that which is good, and that much is. Most of their lyrics are clean. Most.

Dealt with this topic years ago, and have made peace with it.

Really? Well, Jesus has not. Not by a longshot. Thats what the 70th week of Daniel aka the tribulation will settle. In the short term anyways.

Oh you would surely flee from my insipid presence to the nearest exciting worldly watering hole no doubt about that.

No apologies necessary.

You could be absolutely correct but I do think in terms of Harlotry always as knowing God and DHis will yet teaching apostetic doctrine in His place. That Great Harlot of the book of Revelation has always existed, just as the true children of Israel have do and wil always exist bby faith. We are all adop0ted into the Family of our Heavenly Father and we await His bringing down to us the New Jerusalem, which will come with or after our Savior's return

Ask Jeus for help. He has the power to heal you and give you new life. My mandate to exhort has been met.

Beats me. It has never come up in our conversation. I'm not personally one of their fans, and I have always had other things to talk about besides, "hey God is it okay for other people to listen to those singers?"

And I think you misread that mandate to exhort. REAL christians don't go around berating people. I do however know a few people who have a berating hobby as a means of feeling good about themselves.

Reading the Psalms you will find dthat God is everywhere, He is Spirit, and that is the Holy Spirit, for the Father, theSon and the Holy Spirit are One.......Good night from over here, I am about ready to get ready for bed. Sleep with angels watching over you, sent by the Fasther of course.
